This is my favorite place in San Antonio. The organic sake is great and the food is very fresh. This is the best place in San Antonio for sea food. The eel is delicious and the tuna is expectacular. I use to eat there once a week and I love it, the service is great.

Excellent! We had the Habanero Salmon Roll, the Rainbow Roll, and the Derby Roll. The fish were nice thick peaces. Very tasty and great flaver. Also a little unfiltered Sake. Yum! I mean Yummi!

Had the teriyaki bento box and salmon and California roll. Both dishes were good. The service and atmosphere was really nice. The rice seemed a little hard in roll and that is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. I will come again and try other rolls.

Love this place! It’s my favorite Friday night at home meal. I love how you can order delivery using the Unilocal app! The spicy tuna tartar is my go to.

Traveling for work and wanted to grab a late dinner to eat. So glad I stopped in! Got a garden salad with miso dressing and spicy tuna roll to go. Fast, friendly service. Salad and tuna roll very fresh and delicious!

Food was OK. Pretty much on par with other restaurants. If the best thing about the bento box is the rice, that pretty much says it all. It was clean tasting, but the«yummi 6» tasted like stir fry when it should’ve been bbq bento. Waitress was playful, yet attentive.

Service was very good. The food was good too. Hubby ordered steak which he said was very good. I ordered sushi. It was good too. The rice was a wee bit hard that’s why could not give that extra star lol. The place is a bit pricey but worth it.

Hidden sushi place tucked away off I-10. Don’t be turned off by the outside look of this place– the inside is actually really nice and spacious. Complimentary miso soup was cool. We had the mango tango and I think the habanero salmon? rolls. Tempura appetizer was one of the best tempura that I’ve had. I cannot remember everything we ordered but overall it was a good experience. They also offer happy hour on Thursdays according to their website!

At best a very average sushi. They have no finesse in making sushi. Over priced and the quality of the fish isn’t good.

We ventured out to Yummi on a Friday evening around 8:30 p.m. The atmosphere was nice and peaceful with wonderful service. I purchased a groupon so that was a nice little discount. The prices were reasonable($ 8 – 18) for sushi rolls ranging from basic to specialty. Excellent display and everything we ordered was tasty. (Really liked the jalapeño fried poppers(Dynamite!)– takes poppers to the next notch!) I would recommend this place for a nice evening out.

Calming atmosphere with wide variety of sushi. Went with the Sushi Dinner 2 and paired with White Zinfandel. Server was attentive but not obtrusive. Great food. Especially liked the cucumber roll.

it was ok. Nothing special, ordered the Yaki Udon, good flavor, but way too much sauce. Felt like an oil spill on my palette. Service was perfect. I most likely will return.

Food: I want to like this place, but it’s just ok. The sushi is alright, nothing to be blown away by but nothing that doesn’t taste good. If you want sushi, you’ll be happy with this place. Service: We’ve been so many times already, and each time we are always optimistic that the service will be better and each time, we leave completely disappointed and annoyed. They get negative 3 stars because that’s how upsetting the service is every time. They always take a long time with ordering, then they will, without a doubt, forget some or more items from our order, if we even ask for anything extra like napkins or sauce or bowls, we know we will never see them or the items again. It’s terrible service. But in the end they always apologize for their service, but after like 20+ visits, why are you still apologizing… they should learn from their mistakes. And also note, that every time we’ve gone, it’s not during a busy time. It’s probably at the most like 10 tables, with multiple servers. So I can’t cut them a break on this lack of service. They really just cannot handle multitasking at all. It really bothers me and my family that we’re constantly waving them down or I’ve even had to just wait right outside their kitchen and ask for a list of things to bring to our table if not take it back myself. I know I shouldn’t go back, but the kids love the food there and it’s close. I wish they would train their staff better. Atmosphere: Large open restaurant. Good for kids. Lots of parking.

Not a half bad Japanese restaurant if you happen to be near I-10 and Boerne Stage Road. Tucked in the back of this shopping area, Yummi Sushi looks like a hole-in-the-wall but is surprisingly big on the inside. This is actually the second thing we noticed — the first was how dark they keep it inside. Not that it’s mandatory or even necessary to getting decent Japanese food, not a single Japanese seemed to work there. Nonetheless, the sushi rolls we purchased were pretty decent and about what you’d pay at similar joints. I must say the Derby Roll was amazing but at $ 17, a tad on the expensive side. My wife’s selection of traditional rolls like the maki roll, were also good but needed to be rolled a bit tighter. The miso soup was good but served immediately rather than with the meal as it’s traditionally done in Japan. My wife, who is Japanese, finds this odd and she always, if she remembers, tells them to serve the miso soup with the meal. The service, particularly from this heavily accented Thai man we had on our last visit, has been great. Check them out.

We were promptly seated and welcomed by the host. The interior is semi to formal sushi dining. We ordered a large sushi sampler and chicken curry. The sushi was very fresh and flavorful. Probably one of the best in the city. The hamachi/yellowtail was really good and came in a pink and white color. The salmon was sweet and fresh, as was the octopus. Everything tasted perfect and the prices were fairly reasonable. It was about $ 30 for 19 pieces of sampler sushi. I would definitely go back for happy hour since their quality was good. The chicken curry was tasty and filling. It is very rare for a Japanese restaurant in San Antonio to have this dish, so I definitely wanted to try it out. It was less salty than many other ones I’ve eaten, so that was a plus. The broccoli and mushroom was a great addition to the meal. The only slight gawk was the $ 12 price. But, for the type of restaurant it was reasonable.
