Wok Inn

This place was good when it first opened. Over time it just keeps getting worse. We have eaten in and picked up many times. This recent call –in order was sloppy and had no quality control by kitchen or packing staff. My wife ordered the almond chicken and not only was just thrown in the take-​out box it of course had NO ALMONDS!!! My lemon chicken was terrible, was soggy and appeared like an order that was canceled and given to me. Called to complain and Danny only said «is that it!!! didn’t even refer us to manager. Wife told him we would never go there again and he says, OK… So not only was the quality control terrible, but their service recovery was also.

While this is definitely not a delivery restaurant, getting take out of dining in is great! Much much better than their culebra location. They are always quick when I get take out, whether I call ahead or not and the food is really good for the price you pay.

Really 2 hours for delivery. No food is worth waiting that long for. I could buy and make my order faster. And maybe i would wait if i thought my food would be hot when i got it but its not worth the risk

Ok… Unilocal reviewers, you don’t want to wait one and a half hours for this YUMMY Asian food? Then the dining room is open and waiting for you.
Wife and I felt like Wok Inn after a good day of moving, sorting through stuff and getting our house in order. Still in process, the move hasn’t been that bad. Wife and I both started with edamame, I had almond chicken, and she had broccoli beef. It does take some time to prepare (like Kohinoor) but be patient. Wok Inn also has a hot soup bar, and it’s AYCE if you dine in. Service was excellent, and all food was great! Since it is right around the corner from the new home, we intend to return.
But…if you really want it delivered… wait…wait…wait…wait…wait…or just get in your car and go eat there.

My husband and I ordered food for delivery and it took 1.5 hours to get here. After an hour I called to check on the status and all she could tell me was that all the food was out for delivery. 30 minutes later it arrived and was burnt and soggy. I wouldn’t advise getting delivery.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM WOK INN.
Wok Inn is fine for a quick lunch or dinner if you dine in. The prices are reasonable and the food plentiful… but don’t even dare try delivery. I placed an order at 6 p.m. I live less than 2 miles away. About 7:20, I’m kind of curious as to where my food is. I call, but all I get is endless ringing or a busy signal. No one answers. But hey, it’s only 2 miles away so I jump in my car and head over. When I get there I see that the phone is just sitting off the hook. Ah-​ha, now I know why they never answered. I ask about my order and the «manager» explains they really can’t track delivery orders and the online delivery doesn’t really work because it wouldn’t be able to tell me that the wait is over 90 minutes. Interesting, I think to myself. I ask the manager to call the driver which he does, but he can’t get an answer. I know how he feels.
I ask the manager to just give me a refund which he promises to do «later» because he needs the slip from the driver. He promises to remember. I give up because I have lost all faith in Wok Inn.
I go to McDonald’s to get something for my kids who are ready to revolt. We finish that meal and then I hear a faint knock at my door. It’s 8:30 p.m. 2 ½ hours after I ordered and the food actually shows up. I feel nothing but pity for the driver who is working for this chickens*&t operation.
The moral of the story: Don’t order delivery from Wok Inn.

I ordered from here and my simple rice and soup took over an hour and a half to arrive. Mind you, I live 1.5 miles away. The delivery guy was quite rude as well. Not happy I had to wait, hungry, for almost two hours just to get cold food.

Food was delicious, however the girl that answers the phone and runs he register is the rudest person I’ve ever talked to. The menu online is apparently different from what they actually have. I ordered sides that she never told me what I ordered came with it. So I had double everything.

Food is good, solid and consistent. However their delivery needs to be worked on. Called today for a delivery and got this «it’s an hour and half time frame. Is this okay?» Ummm no. No it’s not. Really?

The young lady who took my phone call for delivery was awesome! She listened very well and correctly repeated it to me. She was vrry personable. She told me to expect delivery within an hour and the food arrived at my home in approximately 30 minutes. Service was awesome! The food was ok to me (It was good but wasn’t as flavorful as Panda Express. Sorry, just my opinion). My wife and kids loved the orange peel chicken, sesame chicken, and general tso chicken. The egg rolls were the best part to me. The fried rice good also. Good experience overall. I will have them deliver again when I am feeling a little lazy.

I’ve had a lot of Chinese food in my life, and this place hits the spot. It’s my boyfriends and my tradition to come here and have the soup bar. Te chicken fried rice is amazing. Lemon chicken hits the spot. Egg rolls and ran goons are great. Love this place.

What drives me crazy is when you call in the order and you get there at the time they suggest. Only to find out there just putting in my order. They finally got my order together only to find out that my food was sitting on counter the entire time… The lack of awareness in any business is inexcusable!!! Needless to say I got them to make me a fresh order. Will I be back? Not for a while.

Had food delivered no extra soy sauce no siracha sauce no hot oil has the receipt showed talked to Beatrice the manager she said I remember putting it in I’m like well it’s not here very RUDE!!!

I really like their food and the prices are awesome! But the menu they have online is totally wrong. I had to order four different choices before they actually carried it. No egg food yung, no moo shu chicken, the didn’t have the appetizer ribs. But when you look at their menu it’s all on there. Note to the establishment… Please update your menu because it’s really frustrating to order by phone. Especially when you want to try something new and you have to just get the same thing you got the last three times!

Food is very nice BUT, the menu is totally wrong, it’s hit or miss whether they still carry it or not.
Always have 3 back ups when ordering!

This place has suckered me three times. I keep ordering from them because I like the food and delivery (when done right) is so convenient, but three times now they have taken two hours to deliver our food and by the time we got it our food was cold and soggy. Never again!

I placed an order at 5:43 pm and got my order at 6:58 pm. So over an hour and I live less than five minutes away. I would of carried it out but I had a sleeping toddler. The driver seemed rushed and didn’t offer an apology on his lateness or to even confirm the order. I asked about the kids meals drink (drink included with kids meal) and he replied it isn’t delivered and a soup is substituted. Ok, so I open up my bag of food and only received one soup that came with my meal and no extra soup for the drink substitute. I also found a hair in it! The food was cold too. I called and they offered an entrée half off next time I order rather then issue me a refund for the kids meal. Seriously? What makes them think I’ll ever order from them again. Awful. Do not go.

Ok this isn’t Chinese food is gross. I ordered for delivery, they mixed my order up. I ordered three different entrees and we couldn’t tell what or which meal was what it didn’t resemble any Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. Being health conscious you should have a choice to have MSG in your food or not. I won’t eat there again.

There is no reason for them to give you service but the food is much better at the one in Grissom. Btw there is some manager that doesn’t mind yelling at the workers and cussing them out loud enough for the customers to hear. Again… go to the one in Grissom.
