I as able to find a last minute appointment on Friday for Saturday June 4th. I was paired up with Anastasia. She was absolutely fabulous, made me feel comfortable. We chatted as if we had known each other for years.
I found two blow dry bars in the area of San Antonio I was searching and I chose Waves because of their easy to use and professional website. Their salon was super cute and clean.

What a welcoming place this is! They are so friendly and really listen to what you want while also styling it just right to fit your own style. From the moment I walked in, I knew, without a doubt, that I would leave with a smile. I was greeted by Aleah and offered a beverage. Wow! What a treat!!!
Frida took care of my styling needs and left me feeling so great and ready for my sisters wedding!!!
They use Moroccan Oil products there which can be a hard to find high end line of products!!! It definitely made me feel like royalty knowing they used something so good on my hair!!! My hair is bouncy and shiny and just full of life and volume!!! Thanks, Waves Blow Dry Bar!!! I can’t wait to come back!

I wish I could give this place more stars. I had the stylist Darlene. I was s little worried when she started telling me that she was going to school to be a nurse and that she has never been to cosmetology school but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. Although she was nice, I feel like I could’ve styled my hair better than she had. Not worth the $ 40 I spent. I plan on trying them one more time but with a different stylist.

So bummed that this place didn’t work out. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is great, and the prices aren’t bad, but the style just doesn’t hold! I told my hairdresser that I was going on a trip the next day for the weekend and needed the blowout to last at least 3 days in somewhat windy weather. Four hours later and my hair has fallen flat and none of the curls kept except at the very bottom. She used hairspray, so I’m not sure what the issue is. But after $ 45, my blowout was worthless because it won’t even be around for the first day of my trip :(

I’ve been coming to this salon for close to 4 months now and I’ve had nothing but exceptional service and fantastic hair treatments. Diana Bove is the best hairstylist in this salon. She is so creative and experienced. My color has never looked better and I always get so many compliments. I’m extremely picky when it comes to my hair. Diana always exceeds my expectations and I love my hair!!! Thank you Diana!!!

I went here to get a full face make-​up application and my hair done for my birthday! It was aaaaamazing. My stylist Frida did such a good job. I got one of the Moroccanoil styles and the curls lasted all night! I got so many compliments! She also did my make up. I usually go to Mac but this girl did such a good job. She definitely knows what she is doing. I loved that she took her time and made sure I looked perfect! Best hair and make up I have ever gotten done. If I still lived in SA I would go here every week! You have got to try this place out!!! So worth it!

Today was my wedding day, and my wife and maid of honor had relentlessly tried to find a company to accommodate our early wedding. Not only did two employees arrive before on time @730am for us, but my bride looked more lovely than I could have imagined, leaving me speechless until «I do». We appreciated the fact that both the hair and make-​up turned out perfectly, but mostly, I am happy that my wife was happy with the way things worked out. Thank you so much.

I went here as part of preparations for a wedding. The entire wedding party (including the bride) had to redo their hair within an hour of leaving. Everyone’s hair was over loaded with product. The Moroccan Oil product they use is terrible, and everyone’s hair needed a complete overhaul. Don’t waste your money!

I personally did not go but I felt the fallout when my wife got home. She said they ruined her hair, don’t tell her but it did look pretty bad.
While there they handled the whole situation very poorly and offered no recourse, just a sorry. My wife left crying because she had plans she was now late for with bad hair.
They were an hour late with her appointment and did a bad job.
My review should be 1 star but I’ll give 3 because later the next day she got an email with an apology and a free service.
Because of the email she recieved she will give them one more chance.

MAKING WAVES…
I LOVE the idea of a blow out bar. I went on their grand opening day. The salon is clean, modern and comfortable. I loved the way my hair was styled! Not only that, the next day it looked great too. Ask them how to put your hair up at night so it lasts longer. Mine actually lasted 3 days. I wish they were closer. I’d have my hair done regularly because its so reasonably priced.

My friend/​co worker just had her hair styled this morning at Waves… it looks SO GOOD, and feels incredibly soft. The first thing I did was touch her hair to test for that «too much product» stiff feel and it doesn’t feel like that at all. Her hair looks healthy, polished and feels great! I can’t wait to have my appointment in a couple weeks! :)
