Uncle Bob’s Self Storage

Not a bad place for storage, clean facility and secure. They also have a moving van onsite for use — free for first 25 miles, then .89/​mile after along with top off. The only issue I have is with their payment policies. They prorate upon movein, but not moveout.
You see, everyone pays the next months rent in full on the 5^th of every month, regardless of when you discontinue and closeout the unit. Due to some circumstances, I could not empty out my unit until the afternoon of the 5^th (late by almost a day). This meant that after I no longer required storage and officially closed the contract per se, I still had to pay for the next month in full regardless. Fishy, I know. But I was in the middle of a military move with no time to argue. The manager said he would look into cutting me a break, but that it was Uncle Bob’s policy, not his. That break never came. Not sure how legal this is, but it shouldn’t be, but hey — I knew this when I signed the contract. Just beware. For me, it’s Uncle Bobs never again.
