Always good food. Very flavorful and it’s the closest i’ll find to anything good in this area coming from MD/DC/VA area… Tables are clean, restrooms are clean and there’s always something good on TV. You won’t leave this place smelling like greasy food. My recent gripe is with this certain employee… her attitude and body language is just awful. I don’t think she enjoys working here or at least thats the shes giving off. It says on my receipt ‘Amber’…so if you’re reading this please save TigerPop from getting low reviews and change the attitude or quit. Orrrr… give her a tiger mask so nobody has to see that pissed off look she gives you!

Sad to see it go. It was a good idea, with really good food, and something different from the usual fare of casual food options. Always enjoyed going in there and having a kogi burrito combo.

Maybe I liked it so much because I haven’t had Korean food in forever, which is so weird because we always have it available at my house. I got the kogi bowl, spicy with a side of kimchi and it was the perfect fix to my cravings. Definitely isn’t the best, but it’s quick and easy to grab to go on the way back to Austin, which is exactly what I wanted. I will say next time I go I think I will get rice instead of the salad, it was just a bunch of romaine lettuce that did not add much. I think this place totally needs to open a food truck thing near campus/downsize their building and get a drive thru. It was pretty empty for lunch time, but I think it would do better as a smaller establishment in a better location.

It was overpriced for the quality of the food. I might come back here, I’m not really sure.

Popped my Tiger Pop cherry today with the gf today and HOTDAMN it was delicious! I got the sweet and sour wings, which I did not have high expectations for(being that most every other restaurants ‘Asian style’ wings have blown) but these were amazing(5 out of 5 chopsticks)!! The lady got the Seoul roll which she gave 4 out of 5 chopsticks(she’s doing this cute little hipster thing where she is trying to be a pescetarian)((she’ll come around next time we get those wings!)) What gave it 5 stars for us though was the great service. The blonde and Hispanic dudes at the front was very informative and accommodating; actually recommending the wings. It’s always great when an employee can recommend something cheap(3.99) and delicious(as I said… 5 chopsticks people) Lookin forward to poppin dat Jungle Cat some more!

Interesting fusion. Good options for kids. I loved the rice bowl, but I think the portions should be a bit smaller. I’ve never finished a bowl. They have good options for kids, too. Super casual, korean fusion fast food. Get the crispy chicken option, wasn’t crazy about the beef.

I love this place! Pretty well priced and has an interesting take on Korean! The meat was a bit on the sweet side, but nothing a bit of salt and siracha couldn’t fix! I got the lettuce wraps and loved every bit of it! Good portion size too!

We LOVED the tacos! The sauce they put on them is so good! The day we went was penny beer day. This was cool because you could order a lone star for a penny and also get a taco bite. The cheap beer enticed us to come, the food will will keep us coming back. I love that my 6 year old picky eater loved her taco too. Well done Tiger Pop! We WILL be back! We love the food and how close it is to our house!

I really like Korean barbecue. Not a huge seafood fan so this place was perfect. Korean barbecue beef, pork, and chicken options. Some of the meals have a little Mexican fusion thing going, too. Yummy!

Once you try Chilantros in Austin, not a lot of Korean/Mexican fusions can compare. Though, this is a great addition to SA’s limited Korean fare. I was very excited when I saw the Korean sushi sign when driving by. KOREAN. SUSHI. That’s my two favorite cuisines combined!!! But as a big sushi lover, I actually dislike ordering cooked rolls. ALLTHEIRROLLSARECOOKED. That may be a selling point for some, but not for me. I went for the Kogi bowl instead! It was a very hearty, filling choice. I agreed to do the $ 12 meal option and got drink and dumplings included. Pretty expensive for the overall meal. The meat choices are great, though they have really random nicknames. I know my Korean food & know my sushi. So it’s weird to me to have the workers there explain their new lingo to me. They have unique sauces,(also with weird names) that is served with the chips and dumplings. Both are tasty, and are not traditional Korean sauces. Basically, it was a tasty and unique dining experience. Even though I’ve had some much better of this type of fusion, I’m glad this exists. Don’t go here if you want traditional Korean or traditional sushi. You’ll be pretty confused and won’t have that craving filled properly.

Korean fusion — Korean and Mexican! Two of my favorite cuisines, it’s no surprise as to why I was drawn to Tiger Pop. Unfortunately, the place did noooooooot cut it for me. My first visit, I ordered the Kogi lettuce wraps. Literally it was just bulgogi, rice, lettuce and kim chi sitting on my plate. Too darn plain for both my eyes and taste buds. Gave it a second try today, and got the Kogi burrito. Again, I felt like I had ordered the Kogi lettuce wraps, all put together into a tortilla. Disappointment once again. 2 stars because I was expecting legit Korean tastes with a spicy Mexican twist, but came out with neither. +1 Star because the workers are friendly folks.

Super friendly staff! The menu has a good variety and not overwhelming. They focus on the staple korean dish called Bulgogi and Tiger Pop pretty much put their awesome and unique twists to the dish. Whether the bulgogi is in bowl, sandwich or burrito form… the beef is as freshly cooked and flavorful. They also have chicken wings, i got to try it with the teriyaki sauce. Great prices, unique twist on the famous bulgogi dish, über nice and friendly staff and the place is always clean. Great place to take the family :) highly recommended.

Whoever invented Tiger Pop needs a medal. A nice big gold one to go around their neck! I’m all for fusion food — but would never have though of combining Korean & Mexican. And it is divine! And cheap, so cheap. I had the beef tacos, & some dumplings. Then I got more beef tacos. Then I wanted to franchise this & bring it to Australia* Oh and we got free tortilla chips to start! Fun(or not so fun) Fact: My fellow diner told me that occasionally when he’s there with his family the chef /owner will give them new menu items she is testing to try! *realistically though I’ll have to settle for trying to get back to SA

First time visiting today. Was craving more traditional Korean fare after watching countless episodes of Running Man, but this place was on the way to the movies so I figured we’d give it a whirl. I had the spicy pork bowl, my wife had the chicken bowl, and we split a Kimpop kogi roll. We ordered both bowls as combos, so we got a side of dumplings with each. I also ordered a side of Kimchi which I tried on it’s own and then mixed with my bowl. The dumplings were excellent, perfectly fried and very tasty. My only complaint was that there weren’t more. My wife loved the dipping sauce for the Kimpop. Sticky rice was excellent, as was the meats in both bowls. Heat from the pork hit my wife right after she tried it, but didn’t really get to me until it was half gone, and seemed to be the right amount of heat, enough to know it’s there, not so much to reduce enjoyment of the food. It’s a little out of the way for us, but we head out to the Bulverde/Stone Oak area often enough that we will for sure stop by again. There are enough Korean flavors in this fusion food to make it worth the trip. Food is a little pricey but also, they make up for that in flavor. Restaurant was incredibly clean, employees friendly enough, and the owner seemed to genuinely care that we had a good experience.

Nice eating environment, the staff was a little slow at service. Must speak clearly or they’ll get your order wrong. The burritos are good but poorly made. Would I eat here again? Probably not.

My first visit there & probably my last. I found the digital menu boards busy & hard to read. The teenager working the counter asked me immediately what I wanted to order, I kind of waffled and said«oh first time here…» This would’ve been an excellent opportunity for her to explain the concept, ask me what foods I liked, if I like spicy foods etc. nothing, but silence until I read the menu. Did I mention I was the ONLY person in there? So, I ordered Bulgogi beef bowl, a little spicy. Once my meal was ready, the kid yelled out my #(to which I didn’t even know I had a #). I was sitting right across from the counter you might’ve thought it would’ve been just as easy to deliver, but ok. The meat was tender & nicely marinated, but that’s where the yumminess stopped. The sticky rice was overlooked & the garnish of iceberg & shoestring carrots was odd. Maybe they were out of cabbage? All in all, the service was just there, the food not that exciting & way too many homemade signs hanging all over the place.

Okay, I can admit when I am wrong. Tried it again for lunch. The food was great! A little expensive at least for lunch. You can get a California roll at a Japanese restaurant for about half the price. But the food was excellent. I had the Kogi kimpop and the Kogi lettuce wraps. Shared with my husband. So good! Did I mention the food was good?!? Funny thing: they offer you chips and«salsa» while you wait. The salsa is a spicy/sweet red sauce. The fusion version of(not sure of spelling, kochuchang?) Love! And very cute. My daughter loves the fusion idea because she loves Korean food and tortillas. So what does she get? The Kogi tacos of course! Those are the perfect size and price. One for $ 3. So, not an everyday thing, but good and healthy every once in a while. The only reason I gave it a three star instead of four star is the price, but the food is excellent! What’s another word for yummy?

Overly valued and priced… first I will say fusion? not enough, they should have started as a truck than a joint because then they can learn to tweak rather than play as we grow. Its places like this that many who don’t know any better will consider this is how FUSION is and KOREAN. I like the marinated flavor of the meat but that was it… Harldy anything… my son had the taco, OMG hardly any meat but suprisingly tasted okay, but it wasn’t enough. You can go to taco joint and get more for your money. I had the Kogi bowl it was mainly rice and salad… hmmmmmm They should up it more and call it small plate themed because it taste great but its serving isn’t enough to satisfy, I mean if I am paying $ 10 a plate the least you can do it is make the place high end… Only fusion was confusion. Hardly enough pictures to know what they are about. For a place that is trying something out and hardly anyone knows they need pictures so we can see what is involved. Would I go back? No… I can go to Korean joint on Rittamen and pay the same amount for far better and sooooooo much more… All I can say is if you try it and love it. fine. but just know… you aren’t an expert on food nor can you say you know Korean Fusion because you love this place… ha ha. you just like to eat. The picture of the taco below is soooo decieving. OMG looked nothing like that.

Bookmarked this place cuz of the Korean tacos. They also serve sushi. Ordered a Kogi(steak) and a Gochu Gogi(spicy pork) taco(–comes w/cilantro & onions in white corn tortillas). Almost $ 7 for 2 small tacos — a bit pricey. Both had a bit of a kick to it, although not too spicy. If you like the sweetness of the Bulgogi meat, then you’ll like it. I have a huge sweet tooth, but sweet meat is not my cup of tea. The pork looked like ground pork. You get free chips while you wait for your order – we declined so I can’t say whether or not it was good. We didn’t receive or was offered any sauce for our tacos. The whole Korean fusion concept is a neat idea. I’ve seen it work in bigger cities so maybe I’ll give this SA place another try, but for now… it hasn’t wow-ed me yet. Staff seems clueless – may need more training.

Ok. So I read the other reviews and don’t get the negative reviews. Guys, keep this in mind: it’s Korean«fast food»…in a little«shopping strip.» I came by here after a friend of mine recommended it. I have to say, I was impressed. My 8 year old had the Asiana bowl and I had the Kogi bowl — not sure which I liked better. Both are set up the same, rice at the bottom, meat on top and salad on the side. We chose the combo which included so really tasty pot stickers and a drink. Both had pretty good portions. My favorite sauce has the be the sweet and spicy — perfectly blended to get a lil heat and some tangyness. The only drawback was the limited kids menu and the price $ 21 for two adult combos. The food is great, staff is super friendly and the place is clean; will definitely be back. Tiger Pop, thanks for bringing an alternative to San Antonio.
