I signed up for«groupon» because my co-worker said it was pretty awesome… I get an email stating that Thousand Oaks Florist has a promotion to receive a $ 50 bouquet for $ 20. Since Valentine’s Day was just around the corner I jumped on the offer. The deal with«groupon» is you have to pay in advance for whatever offer you buy. I went into the florist approximately a week and a half in advance to order my arangement. When I looked at their advertisements I realized there wasn’t one arangement that was even close to $ 50. At that moment I asked the receptionist how the«groupon» deal worked, she said it would be like a gift card. Realizing this was kind of false advertisement(on groupon’s part) I decided to pick out a an arangement and pay the difference instead of being out the $ 20. I placed the order for a bird of paradise arangement she assured me they would get the arangement as close to the picture as possible. I put the arangement under my boyfriends name since it was for his mom and preferred to pick it up after 9:00 am. I showed up today at approximately 11:15 am since I just happened to be off work this morning. When I arrived the receptionist found it a little difficult to locate my arangement. Then reappeared and said it would be ready in a moment they just needed to replace a flower. When the arangement came out at first glance it looked good, so I took it and placed it in my car. I started looking at the flowers and realized some of them looked like they were about to die, there was a dead berry and one of the main lillies had creases and color missing on the pedals. I started to get upset with the quality. I took the arangement right back inside and told the receptionist that I wanted a couple of the flowers replaced. The flower technician came out and asked if I wanted to pick my own flowers… which I willingly accepted. They didn’t have anymore orange lillies so I accepted a yellow one in it’s place. She replaced the flowers that I had requested. I told her that I didn’t mean to be a pain but when you spend this much on an arangement you expect the quality to be better. Needless to say I’m now happy with the arangement but I was a little upset overall. I won’t be ordering from this florist in the future.

Made the mistake of calling a florist on Valentine’s day! The person answering was rude and abrupt«We’re not accepting any more orders today!» It was 9 am. OK. My friend needed flowers– she didn’t necessarily need them today. I persisted and made the SECOND mistake of ordering online through this florist(they were closest to her work). Flowers supposed to be delivered Friday AM… Tuesday by 1pm and still no sign of the flowers. Calling to cancel the order I get some old lady who is confused and belligerent. She at least got the owner to call me back later. Owner is not much help either. Matter still unresolved.
