Always a favorite for breakfast when I am visiting San Antonio. Tacos are great, coffee is plentiful and service always excels. See you next time I’m in SA!

Well, service today was good. Food fresh. Tortillas fresh and tasty. Resturant clean. Plate was hot. Good day today to feed the hunger.

This place was not even edible! The staff did not greet us whenever we walked in, no one would grab a drink order from me, or my fiancé for over 15 minutes, the«cheese» enchiladas had NO cheese in them, and to top it off chips and salsa(which is less than sub par) is not included. NOT impressed. Absolutely awful!

Coming from a Mexican background, first I know we live in a city with«Tex-Mex» food but there is NOTHING authentic about this restaurant. Second, the beans are from a can & were cold. The potatoes tasted like they’ve been sitting back there all morning. The pork chops had no flavor. My husband & I will not be coming back here.

DONOTEATHERE !!! We ordered our food it was great. When we ordered our soup there was no meat in the soup. We returned it and when we got the bill the owner stated that we must pay. She was very rude and said we lied about our order. I stated that I would gladly pay but not for the food I oreded and was not made correctly. She still said we needed to pay and only cared about money. So thanks TOTHE Rude owner of Thousand Café they lost our and Family Business. Beware before you eat here

Delicious Mexican café with authentic food that comes in generous portions. Breakfast is served all day, and prices are reasonable.

Good food. I definitely reccomend the daily special and the Soft Tacos. Ask for Memo, will get you in and out faster than anyone else.

Wow! I came to eat at one of my normal places today. I ordered 2 tacos one of them with bacon. It was a big piece of bacon so I opened up the taco to break up the bacon in small pieces so it would fit then I bit into the taco and bit into an old flavored bacon must’ve been sitting on the shelf for a long time so I complain to the waitress that the taco wasn’t very flavorful she took the taco away, replaced it with another taco without the bacon but she then charged me for the taco. she spoke no English so it was hard to communicate with her to let her know that I’m being charge for a taco that she threw away then I had to argue with the cashier lady who continue to want to charge me for the taco… eventually they only charge me for the two original tacos. Their food is good but overall their customer service is not in their best interest. I usually enjoy their food so I know I’ll return but I know I won’t order bacon in my tacos here.

Always consitent food. Quick service. Great breakfast tacos for a good price. What more can you really ask for? It doesn’t blow you away but it is always good. Go early if you want to eat there on a Sat or Sun morning, they fill up. I generally go with a call in order though.

The breakfast here is fantastic. Flavorful, juicy, and always consistent. I docked a star because their pancake breakfast is super-expensive at $ 8.

Found this place en route to another place. The food is awesome! The breakfast tacos are big so, not street taco size at all. The homemade tortillas are a plus as well. The service is sub-par, however the food makes up for it! Definitely a good choice!

Good breakfast tacos, quick service, what’s not to like? I came here with a buddy for breakfast and left pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Of some note, I tried the machaca taco, a dish that is often butchered(due to low quality machaca) and this place did it nicely. That bumped the place up from 3 to 4 stars in my book. Recommended if you are looking for a cheap breakfast place near the Alamo Heights area.

Great and authentic breakfast! Portions are HUGE. The breakfast tacos are enormous and cost less than $ 2! Tortillas are homemade and very thick, and although good, they do not feet that«hot» when they arrive in the table. Guacamole is too creamy for my liking, but tastes great!

My favorite Mexican breakfast joint: I had the Migas Con Chirizo and it was exactly the same as my last Migas plate two years and equally tasty! Not a fancy place but super consistent with their plates. Cheers to them!

I wish Unilocal had decimal points for scores. If it did I’d give this a 3.5 and not a 4 because a 3 isn’t that fair. The food here is great and reasonably priced. However, this place is best for take out(i.e. breakfast tacos) because the dine-in service can be a «crap shoot». I have brought friends and family here only to be embarrassed by the service. Some of the wait staff seem to be overwhelmed on a slightly busy shift. But, once again, the food is great. The ownership must be from a family member of the Blanco Street Café ownership. The food and menu is almost exactly the same. There are 3 Thousand Oak Cafes. If you want to go to one with great service go to the one on Jones-Maltsberger.

Might of found my new breakfast spot. Just started my new job in the area, and they had a menu at my job’s break room. So I went to this spot after work, got 2 bean and bacon tacos {Grew up on those}, I enjoyed them. They aren’t like Quick Taco back in Seguin or like Mirta’s on I-10, but still passable. Might come back for lunch and dinner plates whenever I get the chance.

Our breakfast was good and I would like to come back to try their lunch options. The tacos are very generous and the bacon is good. My picadillo was dry and lacked flavor but the tortillas were top notch. We found it odd that the egg in our tacos were soggy. One taco could fill you up, we’re just so used to getting two because the places we frequent make them small. Our waiter(Memo) was hands down the best server ever, he came to the table every 5 minutes to check on us. My coffee cup was always full!

Really, my favorite place for breakfast/brunch around. Low price, high quality, and you can always count on the food being consistent. I frequent both the Thousand Oak, and Austin Highway locations, and have yet to be disappointed with anything at either location. Excellent!

This place has good food but as far as good customer service, they are horrible. We showed up at 2:15 on a Saturday and were told they were getting ready to close and pretty much asked to move to a section with chairs on the table. The staff was staring at us and made us feel really uncomfortable and not welcome. If you say you are open until 3:00 on your hours of operation, why would you make your customers feel uncomfortable if they show up at 2:15?

Delicious, large portions, good prices. Can’t beat it. I was a little confused by the name at first… wasn’t expecting a mexican joint, but hell, tacos are always the best thing you can eat. try it, you’ll like it.
