Yeah, I can totes get down with being Station Café’s 300th review and they have well earned these five stars. I absolutely adore the Station Café! To start off-everything on the menu is fresh and tasty. I’ve never had anything from here that I’ve been disappointed with(and truth be told we’ve ordered from here multiple times in the same week before). Their soups are amazing, my favs being creamy poblano and butternut squash. The veggie burger they’re serving up here is legit good stuff and can even be made vegan. So far as combos go you can pair up their pizzas with either a salad or both soup and salad. The staff here is always friendly and our to-go orders ready fast. This has become a go-to staple in our lunch rotation, so go check it out!

So much Yes! Value, YES! Flavor, YES! budget friendly, YES! location, YES! do i want to come back here, yes! I had the jalapeño turkey sandwich with chicken soup and it was so delicious. My husband had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and thought it was amazing. We had lunch for under $ 14.00 which is almost always impossible. They had the most amazing looking desserts in the case, i was still thinking about them after i left. Until next time, Station Café!

I came here with a friend for lunch yesterday and am so glad that I did. The line was almost out the door. Because it was so packed, I knew it must be good. Luckily, the line didn’t take too long to get through; they are very efficient. It also didn’t take long to get our food once we ordered. We were able to snag a table, but I could see that being an issue sometimes because there are so many people there during lunch. I absolutely loved the food. I had a tuna sandwich and my friend had a hot sandwich. We were both very impressed. I am actually fighting temptation to go again today because it was that good. Give them a try! It’s worth the long line, I promise. Tip: I probably wouldn’t recommend going for a business lunch or a first date because the sandwiches are MESSY!

Pretty good for the most part. Pizza needs a little help. Atmosphere is so-so. Building layout has a lot to be desired.

Simply put the best sandwiches in downtown SA. Meats are tender; juicy and the delicious bread is as fresh as it comes. Quick courteous service.

Went yesterday and was simply delighted with the whole experience! The food was amazingly fresh and in my opinion to cheap for the quality! I only got a sandwich combo and left in regret for not trying the pizza. This will be my new go to for all occasions, I can’t express more that everyone needs to give this place a try!

Nice price. Casual atmosphere. The Station Reubenation($ 5.75) was really good considering it wasn’t on rye and used turkey pastrami. A slice of pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, & black olives was $ 2.75. It definitely had plenty of olives that seemed to be thrown on with 2 hands but only a few scattered slivers of mushrooms. And I’ll bet you that the olives weren’t cooked with that pizza but tossed on later. Not to mention that It quite obviously wasn’t freshly baked by any stretch of the imagination. Temp was between cool and lukewarm. It couldnt even have been under a heat lamp to be that cool. Cheese was already solid & without plasticity. The sauce had already had time to start breaking the dough down into a soggy texture. The best I can say about that pizza was that it was edible. I hate it because it was early afternoon and I hadn’t eaten breakfast. Next time I will skip the pizza(unless we order a FRESH one) and just stick with a sandwich. So disappointed.

I was driving through San Antonio and looking for a bite to eat, which lead me to Unilocal of course. The Station café had 4 ½ stars and a lot of reviews so I decided to give it a try. Pros– plenty of sandwich options to choose from or if you aren’t in the mood for a sandwich, they offer pizza and salads too. The prices were also appealing! The sandwiches are large and filling, about the size of a burger, and only cost between $ 5.00-$ 5.99! I ordered the hot station club and my boyfriend ordered the chupacabra sandwich. They were both delicious! Atmosphere is laid back. Cons– my club sandwich did not come with bacon. I assuming because the price of the sandwich is so affordable. The main set back of this casual sandwich restaurant was the restroom. There is only one tiny co-ed restroom and it was not very clean. The restaurant was empty when I visited, so it was not like this was due to lunch rush. Overall I would recommend the sandwiches here at The station café! From the bread of the buns to the fresh veggies on it, this place makes great sandwiches and a pocket friendly price!

My co-worker found this place and treated me to lunch here today. It’s fantastic! I had a slice of pepperoni pizza and a veggie salad meal. The pizza is a nice thin crust with that little bit of grease oozing from the pepperoni. YUM! Their ranch is housemade. Actually, everything here is homemade from scratch. I’m all for homemade goodness. It tastes so much better. The atmosphere is nice, clean, and relaxed with cute wall décor. The giant cat on the wall was my favorite. We also shared a slice of homemade Boston Crème Pie. Delish times 20! Get here before noon because parking can be a problem and the lunch rush will come in like crazy. I would definitely come back here again. Next time, I want to try one of their many sandwich options!

This is a great place to grab a quick, cheap, delish bite to eat. The atmosphere is very casual. If you’re looking for a place to relax or socialize with a group of friends, this would not be the place. The service is very friendly and the food is delicious, especially for the price. I would recommend any of their sandwiches. Everything from the bread to the dressings to the soups are made there. If this place was closer to where I live, I would probably be here several times a week. Definitely a solid place to eat if you live or work near by.

After a long flight from CA, ran few errand in downtown traffic, and hadn’t eaten all day, I was starving, and Station Café is the closest thing that I found appealing. So I got here around 4:30PM, during non rush hour, parking was easy and food came out pretty quick. I got myself the Jalapeño Turkey sandwich with Clam Chowder(soup of the day). The chowder hit the spot and the Jalapeño Turkey sandwich is delicious, I love the bread, it is soft and tasty. Although not sure why, the sandwich tasted a bit salty to me. Overall, love the food here, hoping I can come here more often.

I had the turkey chupacabra. It’s a hot sandwich with spicy serrano sauce, greens, tomatoes, shaved turkey, melted cheddar, and the bread is a roll made in-house. It was delicious! There are a bunch of sandwiches on the menu, mostly hot, and also pizza. I will definitely be going back to try something else on the menu. If you’re not sure what to order, I suggest you give the turkey chupacabra a try!

The Station Café is consistently delicious. The first time I went there I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich, which is a warm sandwich for only $ 5.50. The pesto was not overpowering, and overall the sandwhich itself made for a filling meal. The second time I went there, I ordered the jalapeño turkey sandwich(a warm sandwhich as well). To my delight, this sandwich was tasty too… which is surprising, because how delicious can sandwiches really be? I also ordered a side of the pesto pasta salad to go with it. Again, I left full and satisfied. This will definitely be a consistent lunch spot to go to.

Was looking for a special little place to grab a light lunch and we hit the jackpot here. Wasn’t too busy at 11:30 but it picked up closer to noon. Steady line of customers but they get the food out to you super fast. Fresh bread makes any sandwich great but I do recommend the White Buffalo Beef. YUM

I initially wanted to order the Jalapeño Turkey Sandwich, but then changed my mind and got the Turkey Chupacabra which is one with sweet and spicy sauce… more on the sweet side. My sandwich was really good, but the sauce was a little bit overpowering. I had to scrape a lot of it off my sandwich. I don’t know what they put in their bread, but it’s dank af. Seriously… their bread is to die for! I’ve had another sandwich from here a long time ago and it was really good too! Plus, it’s so reasonably priced I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to eat here :)

Anywhere that has vegetarian, vegan, and health conscious food on the same menu as meat loving, give me pizza type menu is an instant win. Array of desserts are unfortunately all made with egg batter, but otherwise I love a place that holds their own in every arena. Especially when it means I can eat for less than $ 12 including a salad and dessert with my drink and pizza slice. I got a plain cheese slice and while it’s nothing to write home about it is hot and tasty(side note: I did find it to be a little bit sweet tasting –though not in an unpleasant way. not sure if it’s the sauce or the bread). The red wine vinegar dressing I felt lacked a kick, but the tea was crisp and clean tasting as well as a very yummy chocolate cake. Overall for what I paid, I’m happy. The interior is lighted by sun coming from the glass front wall of windows. Only the kitchen had florescent lighting, which i find a very nice change of place and my light sensitive eyes prefer bright sun to dingy dim or artificially white light. The décor on the walls and tables is interesting, with such a clean a and minimalist dining area that has the option of dining in a more private and secluded walled in «private party» you’re room, it’s got a bit of everything for everyone. It’s not often I can find a place that caters to my vegetarian diet that my friends are willing to try. Thumbs up. P. s. no bathroom experience yet but I’ll bet they are add clean as the rest of the place.

What can I say but amazing, really this place is rocking!!! Or as Guy Fieri says and I quote«Killer»!!! The Station has a trendy artsy ambiance, but don’t let the divey diner tables and chairs throw you off. I’m a nut for pizza, and when I saw they have their own specialty slice, I had to go for it. I ordered their Southwestern slice that has black bean paste instead of sauce, cheese, poblano peppers, onions, olives… on a crispy crackery crust… OMG slightly spicey, totally yum, I MEANFRIGGINGYUMMY!!! So the best thing is that the owner owns the Filling Station right next door… and one better, you can bring your fresh draft beer from there to here!!! Awesome concept I’ve not seen anywhere else ever! San Antonio is one of my favorite places to visit since I went to my medical training for the Army back in 1979… this is a new must visit, just minutes from downtown.. really it’s walking distance. Someone needs to call Guy Fieri and have him come here for triple D.

So this is a very interesting café. We came here for lunch today right at noon and it was packed. The line was nearly to the door and there’s only one person at the register taking orders. There’s plenty of tables inside, a room with two larger tables and also outdoor picnic bench seating. Their menu is up on a board above the register and the first thing I noticed was that the prices were very reasonable. I was only interested in the vegetarian section and ordered the spicy vegan burger, corn chowder soup(that’s their Monday soup) and a drink for $ 11. We ended up sitting outside and we were greeted by the local cat, Tiger. He was literally just sprawled out on the middle of the table right next to our food. I’m not a fan of cats so I was a bit disturbed by this little guy next to my food. Don’t get me wrong, I love pets and I have a 110# mastiff at home that begs for food every time I eat, but he’s not on my dinner table! My vegan burger was good, it was made with lentils and brown rice and some other stuff, there was a creamy spicy mayo but the best part was the fresh roll. I love it when the bread too is nice and crusty but the middle is soft and moist. The corn chowder was just okay. It had a nice creamy consistency with corn, celery and plenty of potatoes, however, I thought the potatoes were a little undercooked. The atmosphere is super laid back and the staff was very friendly and service was quick. You can definitely get in and out in under an hour.
