The Popcorn Place

First time there. I bought three flavors. They are fantastic. Will have to keep going back to try all the flavors. You really need to try this place out.

Cute, original place with popcorn flavored with just about anything. There are options both sweet and savory, and an owner that will let you sample if you’re unsure about something.
The customer favorite I’ve noticed from having picked this place up for all my coworkers is the Triple Delight. If you’re looking for a unique little gift for someone and want to play it safe, any of their chocolate-​based treats are a great place to start.

Love this place, my kids enjoy the great popcorn that they sell, there favorite is the confetti, which has the assorted flavors.

Surprisingly overpriced. A tiny bag costs $ 2.00. I’ve tried a few flavors — some great, others average. If I’m going to spend $ 40 — 60 on a gift for somebody, it certainly isn’t going to be on popcorn.

Can I give this place 10 stars?!? I’ve lived is the neighborhood for a couple of years. I would always drive by but it would be after hours (open till 6 m-​Sat) or on Sunday when they are closed. My sister and niece were in town bc my bro-​in-​law had to have emergency open heart surgery. While my sister was staying at the hospital, I would watch my niece. My niece LOVES popcorn. It’s her fave snack. She had been asking about Popcorn Place since I told her about it a few months ago.
I wanted to bring her a little cheer during this difficult time so we planned an outing to Popcorn Place. As soon as you step into the small, yet inviting building, the amazing smell of popcorn dances down your nostrils. At the same time you’ll hear a bass drum, but that’s no drum at all. That’s your stomach saying, «Feed me scrumptious popcorn!!!» Back to the smell, it’s nothing like the smell of movie popcorn. Don’t get me wrong, I love movie popcorn, and the smell of a theater really should be bottled. (I’m sure there’s an app for that). However, movie theater popcorn smell has an artificial aroma. Popcorn Place smells so fresh! I’m sure before bursting inside out the kernel actually smiled.
I assume it was the owner who greeted us. Very friendly! He allowed us to taste no less than a dozen flavors. We couldn’t decide so we got 7 flavors in various sizes. Every flavor we tasted was delish! My niece loves salt and vinegar. I’m normally not a fan bc the vinegar tends to be too strong, but the salt-​n-​vinegar popcorn here was actually good! So far my faves, which change each time I have a snack from one of our 7 bags, are the coconut and the loaded baked potato. It’s amazing that the flavors are so spot on. My niece loves the root beer (Me too and I hate root beer flavored foods that aren’t root beer) and she loves the cotton candy. My sister is a fan of the snicker doodle (tastes exactly like the cookie!).
So please, please check this place out. You will not regret it. My only regret is how long it took me to get there. I’m so happy that this place was able to bring some much needed cheer to my niece and sister.

The best flavored popcorn in town! Many flavor a to choose from. My favorite is the confetti, 14 flavor a in one bag. Great prices as well.

Love this place. I took my boys for the first time last week and it was a really fun experience. They got to sample and chose their own popcorn. The owners are so kind. Definetly a great experience.

The customer service was awesome. The staff extremely courteous. They let you sample any flavors you want. The popcorn was delicious and good quality. Interesting flavors. Would definitely come back again!

Mmmmm– This place is THE BEST! They have a huge variety of flavors so there is something for everybody. From salty to sweet to fruity to cheesy, I’m telling you, they have it all! The owners are super kind and are patient while you sample different flavors and make your selection. The prices are very reasonable, too! My personal fav is Vanilla while hubby loves the cheesy jalapeño and the baked potato. Honestly though, you just can’t go wrong here. It’s all so, SO good!

My taste buds are going bonkers!!! Jalapeño (cough cough) confetti (14 different flavors in one) and classic caramel (simply heaven) just to name a few. You can try as many flavors as you like.

Free samples, delicious popcorn and super friendly owners… a true mom and pop. They offer over 30 flavors of popcorn. We’ve had the grape, strawberry, blueberry, sweet and salty, classic caramel, bacon and cheddar, white cheddar and butter. All were tasty, but our favorite is the strawberry, grape and white cheddar.
So down to how you can purchase the popcorn. They offer a variety of bag sizes, from mini or extra large OR you can buy a bucket… different sizes… and if you buy a bucket you can a certain amount for a refill. We went with a Baltimore Ravens bucket, a big bucket… and refills are only $ 12.
We are customers for life!

Anyone that can open up a popcorn store has my vote for five stars. They have collegiate tins that you may purchase with your selection of popcorn, you can bring the tin back to have it refilled at a discounted price.

There is nothing bad to say about this business! My husband and I went in for the first time this evening to get some popcorn for an at home date night and were blown away! They have gift tins for nearly every sports team (college and professional) available (except for our alma maters– UTSA and Texas State, but that’s understandable), even solid colored tins that could be given as gifts.
The popcorn was to die for! There are so many flavors and the sweet couple behind the counter is more than happy to let you sample them all until you find the right one. We tried the snicker doodle, loaded baked potato, hot wings, salt and pepper, salty/​sweet, triple delight, dill pickle, and white hot cheddar. Everything was delicious! We ultimately ended up buying a bag of the white hot cheddar (my husband really likes spicy things) and a bag of dill pickle (I’m pregnant. I don’t think there needs to be anymore explanation than that!) As we were checking out we noticed a small bag display of both chocolate covered strawberry and chocolate covered cherry popcorn and threw that in the mix as well. It was PERFECTION! I was shocked at how close it tasted to an actual chocolate covered cherry!
Needless to say we will be regulars at The Popcorn Place from now on! We plan on returning in a few weeks when we have a sleepover night with our nieces and nephews to let them pick their own popcorn, though I am sure that since they are all under 5 years old they will be more interested in the colored popcorn that taste like fruit than anything else.

My bff requested jalapeño popcorn to bring back with me to San Francisco. She didn’t know exactly where and I used Unilocaled and typed in jalapeño popcorn.
This business came up and I made my way here to pick up a large bag of popcorn for $ 24 and stuffed it in my backpack.
They have an extensive list of flavored popcorn and all from sweet to salty. I just tried the jalapeño one and it tastes just like it sounds, eat slowly and don’t sniff the popcorn, you’ll end up sneezing from the powdered jalapeño seasoning.
I’ll come back here and try the other flavors cause time was short. You also pack the popcorn into tins of all sizes for gifts and such.

OMG! Popcorn! Not your typical movie-​theater style, either, mind you.
Set your taste buds on a roller coaster ride and be adventurous. If you delve into the extreme, make sure you’ve got something long, tall and COOL next to you. You’ll need it. Oh, yeah, you will.
Flavors that are typical: cheddar cheese, white cheddar, classic caramel, salt ‘n’ vinegar. But then you jump into the atypical: hot cinnamon, snickerdoodle, buttered rum, cajun, hot dill, hot! wings, green apple and SA jalapeño. Oh my! Grab your drink (particularly on the SA jalapeño) — so good, but so dang wacky hot!
This is truly one of the most unique collections of popcorn flavors that I’ve ever encountered. Thanks to my son (a UTSA student) for bringing me back a fix of this –
Take it away! I’m old enough to know that popcorn is NOT classified as a main meal! I just can’t stop, though. ..

Lots and lots of flavors, samples galore, prices are cheap and service is really friendly

A friend of mine had stopped by the Popcorn Place and loved it, and living in the area I just had to try it. I wish I would have gone sooner because the popcorn here is truly delicious. Savory popcorn is my favorite and they have so many flavor options. Their white cheddar is perfectly cheesy, their SA Jalapeño is too and its great when combined with the white cheddar. However, I wanted at least one sweet option to balance out and was unsure what to pick. They have many options that sound great and almost unbelievable. The lady owner recommended the root beer popcorn, figured it would somewhat resemble it so why not, I tried a sample. Well I had set the bar way too low, it tastes exactly like root beer! She made it better when she mentioned combining it with vanilla to create a root beer float taste. Amazing. Seriously. Stop what you are doing and go. Just do it. Big plus is that the couple (owners I assumed) are very friendly and warm… And you can tell that they love their shop.
Yes, it is popcorn and I’m writing as if reviewing the next wonder of the world, but in all seriousness, go try it. Let’s support our local businesses and do yourself a flavor.

The people running the place are very friendly and engaging. The selection of popcorn flavors is almost over-​whelming. They offer free samples so you can make the best choice. Among the awesome flavors are: snlckerdoodles, black cherry and the always favorite, caramel corn. Really good stuff offered in many different sizes at reasonable prices.
