I went into this shop while waiting for the Backstage Event to start. They have some marvelous quirky little items. I found the cutest cat bracelet for a very reasonable price. The sales person was very personable. She chatted amicably and took great care in wrapping my small items. They have some other larger gift items, but yesterday I was limited by the size of my pockets. Sounds like a return trip to me.

I stopped in to the Pink Giraffe just to look at their card selection. After no more than 5 – 10 minutes in the store, the woman who I assumed owned the store, came over to ask if I «was looking for anything» because I was«wandering around.» I told her that I was just looking at their selection of cards. She then replied that the cards were«on the shelves to sell.» My boyfriend then kindly asked her if she would like us to leave. She looked up at him, gave him an awful glare, then went back to her business without saying a word. I was completely shocked by this horribly rude interaction in the store. What small business owner doesn’t want people to look in their store? And who feels the need to be so rude to anyone? I would also like to add that we were dressed fairly nice and were being incredibly careful handling the cards. I make cards and stationary, so I would say I’m far more careful than the average customer. Needless to say, I will never be returning to the Pink Giraffe or recommending it to any friends.
