Stunning restaurant for excellent Far East food. Being a vegetarian that eats a little chicken, I love this place. Clean, quick service, reasonable prices, tasty food and super service. I enjoy eating here and highly recommend this Restauant to everyone.

First time customer but will definitely be back. I never care too much about rating service but they were really nice and attentive; fast to get our food out too. We had three sushi rolls and they were all very good; especially the Mt Fuji.

I liked Thai Lao Orchid for their convenient location, good service, and good food. I went here with my parents when for lunch I was moving into San Antonio. We ordered a spicy tuna roll as an appetizer, and my parents ordered the Phở. I ordered the Pad Peht with tofu. All of the orders came with appetizers including salad or soup, depending on which plate you ordered. They have many more items on their menu, which can be found at: As for the food, I loved my Pad Phet dish. It came with a side of rice, vegetables, and tofu in a creamy coconut sauce. I ordered medium spicy, and it wasn’t very spicy at all — I think that the coconut sauce negated some of the spices. That level of «spicy» was just right for me, but for people that really like spicier things, I’d go for higher spice levels. On some of the dishes, you have the option of ordering chicken, beef, pork, or tofu. I think that the shrimp/seafood costed a little more. The spicy tuna roll was really really spicy. I was sweating when I was eating it. I tried some of my parent’s Phở’s. It tasted different than the Phở’s that I’ve had at other restaurants, but it was still good. I’m not too sure how I’d accurately describe the difference in flavor, but it seemed like it had a more herb-like aftertaste to the soup. My parents seemed satisfied with their lunch as well. The service was awesome — the waiter(I believe he was also the owner) checked in on us frequently, and made sure that we had everything that we needed. He was very prompt at getting us the things that we asked for, and we felt like we were well taken care of. To top it off, the interior was nicely decorated and clean. I would come back again.

The food here is excellent! I tried many Thai places around San Antonio and this is my favorite by far. The servings are generous and the sides complement the entrée very well. I will absolutely be back. Update: This is my third meal here in less than two weeks and every dish has been delicious! Today I had the steamed clay pot and that coconut milk base is delicious. The seafood was cooked perfectly.

I’ve spent several weeks in Thailand and I lived in LA for 5 years where great Thai food is also abundant and I gotta say, this place is fabulous! My husband and I have tried 5 Thai places since moving to San Antonio in June 2015 and this place is head and shoulders above the rest! Friendly, prompt service, great variety of menu choices, reasonable price, clean, trendy inside, authentic music, large servings on the hot pot of tea, good size meal portions, flavorful, beautifully presented! We are already planning out things we want to try on future visits! This visit we had the pad-si-ewe with beef and house special pork dish(I forget the name). Both were delicious! We are going to be regulars!

My curry was delicious with perfect spice. The chicken rice soup is some of the best I’ve ever had!

Delicious Thai food with very unique flavor. Have driven by the place multiple times on the way home and finally noticed the sign. Ate on a Friday evening. Blink and you will miss it in this little strip center. Started with the Chandour soup. Delicious with layers of flavors and fresh vegetables and chicken. Very good. We order the clay pot and mixed vegetables with chicken. The clay pot literally came in clay pot(sometimes not the case) and was rich in flavor. The rice soaked up the stir fry juice and was delicious at the bottom of the pot. I had both chicken and beef, and again the flavor was unique and very good. The chicken an vegetables was very good as well. Both dishes a tiny bit of charring from the work… which I love. Overall great food, great service, and great experience. Did not try any of the sushi… but next time for sure. Did not see beer or wine on the menu. Recommend for a quiet dinner with good food.

Food is excellent the sevice is also very good. The place is dated and very dark, very!. but the staff and food do make up for the ambience. My wife loved the food but doesn’t want to go because it reminds her of a 70s bar. lol. I like it, try it you will like it too.

Great food and service! Beyond clean inside and organized! A ton of rolls to choose from and they let you modify them to your taste! Love when you can do that!

We ADORE Thai Lao Orchid in Leon Springs! Ray is our favorite server. We are vegetarians and everything we’ve tried that’s either complete veggie or dishes with tofu like Pad Woonsen and the Bun Bo are all delicious! Priced just right, too!

Unfortunately I have to give 1⁄5 stars. My family and I walked in, and were seated promptly, then never to be waited on again. We sat there for about 10 minutes while the only waiter dealt with a few take out orders and some other dine-in patrons who already ordered. Never even had our drink orders taken. We walked out and not a soul stopped us or even threw us a glance. It’s too bad since the reviews seemed promising. Went down the street to Yummi where service was leaps and bounds better!

I had the pad pehk basil with chicken. I thought the curry was flat out tasty! I’m not a huge fan of curry dishes but this one was great. I still have my go to Thai place but when I’m on this side of town, I know I have another option. The lunch prices were reasonable. Service was fast and friendly. What more do you need? Spicy level is 1 – 5. I went safe and had a 2. Too mild for my taste. But I imagine 3 would be just right. This restaurant has a ton of curry dishes from which to choose – be a little adventurous, skip the played out typical«pad Thai» or(since this place also serves some Vietnamese inspired cuisine) Phở, and try something new. You never know. You just might enjoy it.

No sticky rice, no Larb Gai, no To Go menus. Love the cleanliness of the restaurant and décor. The food was made to order. I’ve had worse and I’ve had better. This is the closest thai food restaurant to me, but I don’t think I will be returning.

Always have a great experience here! I love the chicken clay pot and the the beef phở. I’d go with the meat versus tofu and the egg drop soup is average but everything else I’ve got here has been very tasty!

Great service and food. The décor was pretty and the restaurant was small and cozy. The pricing wasn’t bad either. I absolutely loved this place, heck even the water was good.

First of all they have a female hostess/server that is SO sweet! Their red curry is AMAZiNG! I am now obsessed with it! everything I’ve tried including their rice soup Is so flavorful and delicious I will be coming back for a long time! I would consider myself a very picky food critic and this place passed with flying colors!

Had the egg rolls and sushi — both excellent! The owner himself served us, and it was excellent. It’s a family-owned business, absolutely superb, you should try it!

Pretty hidden… they need to advertise themselves! The pad thai is just okay, but omg the curries! Try the curry it is amazing. Their sushi is pretty good too.
