I go there several times a week for tacos. Make sure you call your order in because they get really busy in the mornings. I always get bacon and egg(make sure you tell them, with a strip of bacon) They then make the egg fresh and put a big fat strip of bacon on it. LEGIT !!!

Good food, good service, decent prices. Nothing really unique but I did like that it’s not in a strip mall. I ordered the menudo which was good. My friend ordered the cheese enchilada which was also good.

Amazing food! Good portions, hot to the table, authentic and not like the fakes around town. Prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity you get.

Literally one of the best Mexican food places I have had in San Antonio. Literally the food is always amazing, the beans and rice are made perfectly and the service is always great.

Great food… But don’t order to go. They tend to leave out tacos that you order and give you tacos that you did not order. I drive from out of town and stop there and work in the other side of town in San Antonio. Total inconvinience. Lesson learn check all your tacos before you leave.

Absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. Not tourist Mexican food, not commercial Mexican food, real Mexican food. Great every time. The updates to the facility last year were due and done nicely. The staff is friendly and after only a few visits knows what you expect and greets you in a friendly manner. I’ve taken a number of people there and they have all loved it. Can’t recommend highly enough.

If i could give a zero i would. Angie messed up my taco order then i corrected her and it was wrong AGAIn! She continued to say it was my fault and blame me and refused to bring me another Taco! She was very rude. She also made another table wait so long that they left. She also messed up another tables order but only once. So unprofessional service. Sad because the food is good

This place is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in the city of San Antonio, I gave them 4 Stars and would give them 5 of the water was filtered and taste great, but long as you buy your drinks the food will be delicious! You got to try the beef Enchilada plate!

We drove by this place several times and it looked popular because there were always many cars out front, so we decided to give it a try. Great choice! Although we weren’t a fan of the chips and salsa, our meals were scrumptious! I ordered the Pastor with Nopalitos. Served with homemade tortillas, rice, house made churro beans, and two different types of homemade hot sauce, the meat was extremely tender and flavorful. I washed everything down with a wonderful Horchata! Hubby ordered the Pollo Azteca, a tender chicken breast topped with salsa verde and cheese, served with rice, guacamole salad, and homemade tortillas. Everything was freshly made and piping hot, and our waitress took great care of us. We will definitely return!

Just came here for some breakfast. Got chorizo and egg with flour tortillas. WOW. Best ever. Come for the tacos. Stay for the salsa and great service! First time here. We will definitely be back for lunch! So cheap too! Ps. The waitresses speak English well so you don’t have to worry about your order being wrong. Love this place.

Phenomenal place. We asked some locals for guidance on great Mexican food and they did us right. Despite looking like a truck stop, the food was spectacular.

Really good food, with the best homemade tortillas. Freshly squeezed lemonade. The only downside is their lack of service on the tables their waiting.

Excellent Pozole only on weekends though. The beans and tortillas were great too. You can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant just by those two items.

I love this place. When I first moved to San Antonio this is the first place I went to that I actually liked their Mexican Food. Being from California, Texas and I have had it out when it comes to 2 things — weather and Mexican food! They still have some Tex-mexy dishes like guisada(which is actually good here), but they have excellent mini tacos, super cheesy enchiladas and great rice!!! I always order double rice here. Also, best horchata in town. Really good food at decent prices.

My most Favorite spot to get carne Asada tacos! I have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their call ahead option is great for me so I can just swing by and pick up. I will continue going back!

Great food! Clean restaurant! Food was served quickly. Cost was perfect for lunch! My plate was served super hot so the cheese melted and fell off the fork with every bite! The flavor of the food was as good as the presentation!

Being raised in the south side of San Antonio, I’ve eaten at some pretty great taquerias. Chapala definitely has some bomb ass tacos. Their tortillas de harina definitely hit the spot along with their carne asada. Although they have a limited selection of aguas frescas — limonada y horchata, I was still pretty satisfied. The only time I had a complaint was when I tried a torta de milanesa. The bread was over toasted and the meat came out too dry. I don’t know if It was just a bad batch, but I’m never ordering that again! Other than that, I love coming here with my family and watching some Univision on TV. The tortillas are always amazing, the pricing is definitely reasonable, and the service is pretty great. :)

I have to say I was a little skeptical about trying this place due to the generic name and shady appearance, the parking alone can put off most people as it is not paved. But I always see this place as I go up & down O’connor and for the most part there are a decent amount of vehicles at this establishment. It was their lucky night as I discovered they were open till 11pm and I had a yearning for different. I put away my differences(Can’t stand Mexican restaurants with Taqueria or Jalisco in the name) and stepped inside and waited and stood and waited, oh duh it’s seat yourself. The place could be a little cleaner but the staff is very friendly and the food makes me want to eat more Taqueria and Jalisco. Brinner is a plus and so is having pictures on the menu, my stomach thanks you. ¡Salud!

Located right off hwy 35& o’conner, this is the only little restaurant near most business’. Booths are a bit cramped, you have to enter and sit yourself outta of order compared to sitting in open sections or available servers. After being told to sit myself, it took a good 7 min to get a waitress to ask for my drink. I didn’t know what I wanted so I asked for a coke. I ordered quite quickly as she brought out my drink in a good time with a small bowl of chips and salsa which was pretty good. Plates are as usual bigger than pictured. Ordered carne asada plate #7. This street would make a killing with another restaurant near by offering American or Mediterranean or something.

I recently moved to Texas, and I’m not a big Mexican food fan, but my coworkers go here for Breakfast often so I ended up ordering two Breakfast Tacos today. The Egg & Bacon Taco was absolutely mouth watering, and made me want more. And they are amazing for the price, $ 1.50 for one taco! I can’t wait to go and try their lunches and dinners.
