After living in Baltimore for the last year, it was nice to go to a place that actually seasons the chicken in their enchiladas. They were great, I had it to go but the place seemed like it would be cool to eat at. Not loud or anything. It’s a nice lunch type spot.

Just a restaurant. Prices are ok. The carne guisada was too soupy for me. Tasted ok though. Weird layout in my opinion. Clean interior, staff was very polite and the prices were ok. Nothing special, may go back when near by but no special trips will be considered.

Walked in 5 min after closing on accident. They were nice enough to make an amazing burrito for under $ 5 in 5 minutes. Loved the salsa verde!

Me and my family made a random stop here cause we got haircuts next door and it was a pleasant surprise, food was delicious! I’ve never seen my three-year-old actually finish carne guisada. The waitresses were pretty nice and attentive I will definitely come back here and recommended it.

Our favorite local Mexican place, especially for breakfast tacos. Food is tasty and the service is always friendly. Family owned restaurants like this should always be supported, and it is, although I’ve never seen it super crowded. Not open for dinner though.

Consistently good. I love the chillequelles. Great breakfast tacos. Friendly wait staff. The décor and ambiance is lacking but I don’t go there for that. Try the green salsa on your breakfast tacos for a little extra kick and flavor. If you haven’t been here before, give it a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

For years now I’ve gotten coffee right across the parking lot from this little Mexican restaurant. Never once I walked in until a couple of weeks ago with one of my children. I was pleasantly surprised the atmosphere, and the friendly staff it instantly greeted us. The food is above average for San Antonio Tex-Mex, and more than worth the price.

Very meaty machacado plate. By far the best taco salsa I’ve ever had.

I like this place, good food at a good price. The salsas are tasty and spicy. Everything that I’ve eaten here is good, so I stop back every few weeks. I have only eaten here for lunch, sometimes take out a couple times sat down. The chips and salsa is free if you sit down. It isn’t fast food, everything is made to order. And, there is a bit of a language barrier, English is definitely a second language, but that’s ok. If you’re looking for some good Mexican food, I would recommend this place.

I got to-go for lunch. Noticed my #5 Mexican plate was missing a crispy taco. No biggie, I’ll just call and let them know. So I called. The female on the line just kept repeating over and over what comes with #5, clearly not really listening to what I was saying. Eventually she passed the phone to another female, who spoke quite rudely. She said«So do you want the«crispy taco or what!», finally realizing they made a mistake. At this point I just wanted my money back and on my way back noticed a wad of pubes on the styrofoam to-go container, now mind you I had not even taken anything out of the bag. So I went back and the cashier quickly scurried to get my money, and I left, but not before pointing out the nasty pubes. She had a look like she had seen it before. There is reason this restaurant didn’t have any business during the evening and had to close early. Because they really don’t care about there customers and it absolutely shows. And there food is average to poor, never anything that good. Low grade beef, small tortillas, translucent tomatoes, you get the point. I just hope the place that comes after them learns from their mistakes and is more sanitary.

Tonight we thought we would just throwcaution to the wind and stop somewhere. That somewhere ended up being Taco Tex. An and we found a new culinary love. Every thing was excellent. In particular the frijoles charros tapitillas.
