Sonic Drive Inn

This is the first time coming to this sonic. We came for happy hour and ordered the strawberry vanilla Sprite and a vanilla cream Fanta orange. They took our order quick and they brought it out to us very quickly! I was shocked at the fast and friendly service from this location.

Consistent. I usually would like consistency to be a good thing. This Sonic is consistent in SLOW service. Only 9 cars in ~27 slots and it takes 5 minutes for your order to be taken.
It’s not a one time thing, but rather every time I’ve dropped in. Sad, because it’s really close to my home.

A Sonic is a Sonic is a Sonic, right? Maybe, but this location always seems to do a great job. Service is fast and the order always comes out right. What more could you want?
On a recent visit, I decided to try a couple of new menu items: the Original Pretzel Dog with mustard and Rowdy’s Brisket Cheeseburger. Of these, the pretzel dog was kind of a bust. The bun was indeed made of pretzel, but it was just too dense and dry to serve as a bed for the wiener. I ended up eating only about half the bun before giving up on it.
As for Rowdy’s Brisket Cheeseburger: this thing was fantastic! Chopped brisket is added to a hamburger patty, rather than taking its place. Add to that pickles, chopped onions and a tangy barbecue sauce, and you’ve got a nice hamburger. And the whole thing is topped by a cool (edible) UTSA team logo to remind you that a percentage of the proceeds goes to the team. This sandwich is here for a short time, so get one while you can!

The staff was very friendly and the service was quick!!! The food was good too.
