Out of onions rings is unacceptable! Service has since improved and the traffic situation in this area has improved also – i dont visit as often because they can never seem to get the drink right. Consistant staff changes and people just dont seem to care about their job has been the case-i often skip this sonic and visit the one in helotes instead the customer service in on point and my order is always right. perhaps this location can take some advice form this location. now that the construction is over they can work on improving their customer experiences by having cups and things they need to make it work.

I hate to say goodbye to Sonic, as I love their food, but today was the last straw. Pushed the button for surface; stayed lit for about 2 minutes, then went out. I was about to just give up, when one of the employees was walking around with mustard/mints/etc and asked me if I wanted any. I briefly told her that I hadn’t even ordered yet and explained the button fiasco. She took the order and went in. When it was delivered, I got a song and dance about how they were short staffed(sorry, don’t care, just want good, hot food, timely). Ran my card without telling me the price, no itemized receipt(but at least I got the credit card slip) AND the corn dogs were old. You think that if you had an issue with a car, the least thing is the food would be hot.

I came in the morning to get some French toast sticks. My wait was not too long. The French toast sticks had a strange after taste though. I almost had a constant itching in my throat all day. Lots of construction going on but I did not have trouble getting in or out.

Apparently they don’t know how to ring up their new wings. It clearly states on their menu that the 12 and 24 piece can be split between two flavors but the girl kept ringing up two 6 pc orders instead of a 12 pc with two flavors which of course is more expensive. Then proceeded to lie about it saying that she changed it obviously forgetting we can now see what she is ringing up. Called her out on it again saying the price was wrong, called over her manager, then made up a lie about that’s only something they do on Mondays. Ended up leaving without ordering anything. Definitely one of the worst sonics in town.

This place is the worst Sonic I’ve ever been to. The wait times are a joke. Might as well drive down to the H-E-B on Bandera&1604 and buy stuff to make your ice cream sundae. Even that would take less time than the people working here. I waited 45 minutes on a Monday night to get some stuffed jalapenos and a hot dog. Seriously coming here is not an option anymore. Do the world a favor and drive to the Sonic on DeZavala or Bandera in Helotes. The negative reviews are valid. I’ve given this place several tries thinking«oh maybe it was because it was a Sunday the last time I went» or «oh maybe I shouldn’t have came within an hour of closing time.» NOPE! Come at any time of the day and expect the same terrible service. I have even tried the drive-thru only to see the employees in there playing with their phones and getting themselves drinks not really moving around frantically to provide good service. The only logical explanation for them taking so long is that one of their employees is driving to the Sonic on DeZavala or Bandera to get the food.

Absolutely horrible!!! Service is bad and they always screw up the orders. I live close by so I go often expecting a change but nope NEVERAGAIN. This last time my tater tots were crunchy like stale bread. NOTHANKYOU.

This particular Sonic is very slow. It’s already a pain to drive in due to the construction taking place around the shop. The drive thru is not well managed. The service at the window is not very welcoming.

The food quality is okay, but the service isn’t exceptional. The employees are nice, but the other reviews pretty much said it. No one seems to care about quickly filling orders and making sure they are correct. However, this is the closest fast food to Madera which makes waiting bearable.

I love the Sonic blasts, it’s one of my cheat-treats. But every time I try to order it, it turns up different. One day there’s no whip cream, one day there’s a top full of whip cream. I ask for extra toppings, and sometimes they have it all within the cup, and then sometimes the extra toppings only take up the top of the ice cream. sometimes the ice cream is all melted/liquid, and sometimes the ice cream texture is just right! Where is the consistency! What is the standard! The Sonic workers here are nice and just doing their jobs, but I’m unsure if they care about the quality of their work.

Ordered a drink and a Sonic Blast. Drive-thru was wrapped around the building, so I decided to pull up to a parking spot to order. Took around four mins to answer after I pushed the button, but the red headed kid on skates was fast, friendly, and apologetic about having to play catch up with as busy as they were at the time. They will receive my business again. :-)

We have gone to this Sonic in the past and always went to the drive thru. The service was slow and the person at the window is not very friendly. You also can not easily read the shake flavors when ordering. So this time we decide to park and order at a stall. We order three shakes at 8:42pm. I tried to pay by credit card at the stall but the card reader wasn’t working properly so I wasn’t sure if my card was charged or not. After waiting about 5 minutes the screen on the card reader said my order would be delivered in 60 seconds. We waited and waited, I didn’t want to leave because I wasn’t sure if my card was charged or not. At 9:12 we FINALLY got our 3 shakes only to find out my card wasn’t charged and the card reader was down and they had to go inside to charge it. 5 minutes later I had my card back and 3 melted shakes. The WORST experience at Sonic ever and then when I can finally leave we have to wait to back out due to the slow drive thru blocked us in. Next time we have a craving for ½ price shakes after baseball practice I will gladly drive the extra 5 minutes out of the way to the Sonic in Helotes.

This sonic location really needs to work on its professionalism. I mean I know it’s just ‘sonic’ but it shows that the employees do not take pride in their work here. Sad. The food is usually a tad burnt and warm. Also, don’t forget to check your bag before you leave, they have a tendency of forgetting some of your order. Good Luck if you visit this location.

I LOVEHAPPYHOUR! Route 44 for a dollar and some change?! I haven’t had the food here, but Sonic’s a definite go to for drinks in my book. A friend introduced me to it back at home in Atlanta. Strangely, it’s not very big there at all… Weird. So now it’s their half cut peach tea(half sweet, half unsweet) or their strawberry/cherry limeade. Service can be slow sometimes, but that’s probably because of all the traffic coming through. They’re always friendly and smile a lot(which can be creepy at some places, but not at Sonic!), so that’s a plus, haha. Takes me two days to drink a drink(because I’m a wimp, and hate going to the restroom all the time), and with the styrofoam cups they give you, if you stick your drink in the fridge, it’ll still taste great the next day because the ice will still be there! Also, a big fan of the ice. Not sure if this is a huge selling point for people, but they’re small and cute and I like the sound they make when the cup moves around. And if you ask me, cute ice makes a drink taste better.
