Expensive but that’s too be expected inside a park, I got the ribs, just very little meat when you pay 3/rib…

During our visit to Seaworld, my family and I decided to eat lunch at Shamu’s Smokehouse. We had purchased the All-day meal pass, and we’re itching to utilize it! Upon entering, it was clear what direction we needed to go and which line to enter to get some food. What was not clear was the process of which to go about using the eat passes. Finally, after some deliberation, and chatting up the right people, we got it all figured out, and everyone placed their orders. The food was great. Much better that what I was expecting at a Theme Park joint, to my surprise. Using our meal passes, I tried the BBQ ribs, chopped brisket, and the chicken, which were all cooked and prepared excellently. I also tried the coleslaw and Mac n Cheese as well, and those were good also. The Mac n Cheese isn’t your typical Kraft style. The boil some noodles and use shredded cheese. It is different, yet delicious. They also had a lot of desert options, such as Chocolate Pudding and fresh Apple Cobbler. My favorite that we tried was the Strawberry Shortcake. It had been freshly made, and was absolutely delicious. The entire restaurant is very clean, including the restrooms. If you have a large party, or are just looking for a good restaurant within the park, try Shamu’s Smokehouse. You will not regret it(especially if you have the All Day Meal Pass!!)

I usually try not to leave poor reviews here, and especially for small businesses because bad reviews can ruin a small business. But this isn’t a small business, and this review likely won’t effect it’s customer base. The good: it is open later than some of the other restaurants. The staff were very friendly, attentive and nice. Service behind the counter was impressive and fast. The bad: Riduliculosly over priced. Horribly over priced. So pricey that based on the quality of the food that we received, I feel like I was ripped off. Jack N The Box makes food that is impeccably better and of higher quality. I ordered the brisket platter with mac and cheese. The brisket was dry and not much in terms of taste and as bland as bland can be. I drowned it in the all you can eat barbecue sauce. Fortunately the barbecue sauce is pretty good. The mac and cheese was boiled pasta with baked shredded cheese and not terrible but not great. So if you’re looking for kraft style mac, don’t expect it. I had to drown that in barbecue sauce to make it edible. I got a cup of grapes that was so below standard that grocery stores wouldn’t even sell it in the produce section. Many grapes were rotten and/or wilted. We got the«mini corn dogs» with french fries for my 2 year old daughter and my 7 year old son. My daughter is a corn dog freak and refused to eat these. After peeling off the corn meal batter, these«corn dogs» revealed that they were in fact vienna sausages! I have NEVER seen any restaurant attempt to pass off vienna sausages as corn dogs. And pork ones at that! My wife got the barbecue chicken platter. The cut of chicken she received didn’t have have enough meat for even an anorexic to pass up. Skinniest chicken with more bones than meat. The flavor tasted like it was a fake attempt at barbecue… Perhaps Liquid Smoke rather than really being barbecued. The beans, french fries and watermelon were decent. My son had the blue jello parfait and ate it at record speed. He said it was amazing and he’s a pretty tough critic on desserts, so I’ll recommend it to anyone. The floors in this place looked well cleaned upon entrance in to the facility. However, someone either had a huge food fight earlier today and the floor hadn’t been properly degreased, or the dining room staff used a mop bucket with greasy water from the kitchen. The entire floor, seriously, the entire floor was greasy slippery. So much so that my son and I were purposely sliding on our heels all over the place in a race. My feet were gliding on the floor and my daughter’s stroller was sliding rather than free wheeling. It’s not like people are throwing their food on the floor and making the entire place greasy. In fact, the only non-slip surface I encountered was in the men’s restroom, where the floors were amazingly dry and resisted slippage. This was bad enough to where I’ll never eat there again. My family has annual passes there every year, and I can honestly say that we’ll never return to this particular restaurant. I’ve been to SeaWorld enough to know that eating there isn’t cheap. But this wasn’t even pleasurable.

I don’t know if I should grade this on a curve since it’s better than most theme park food. But then it wouldn’t give the real picture. The flavors were ok but the chicken was like rubber. The ribs was decent. Didn’t have the brisket because they looked dry. Like all theme park restaurants, it was expensive.
