I’ve lived in three different apartment communities of similar price ranges in SATX. Like the others, there are areas where Sevona does ok, and areas where they really need to improve.
Pros: The drive to the entrance is surrounded by matured trees, large rocks, and pretty grounds. This is a smaller complex and the grounds are quiet(sorry, no playground for kiddos). The pool area is very pretty with comfortable lawn seating. I’ve had quick responses from maintenance. Valet door to door service five nights/week is awesome, especially since they accept recyclables. Location has great access to 1604 and 151, with Alamo Ranch shopping and HEB right around the corner. Cost is reasonable for having a newer apartment with modern upgrades. Pest control is provided and you are encouraged to report sight of any issues(I’ve seen none). A courtesy officer is on property and available after hours. Cons: Since the community was constructed(2012), management and staff have changed at least three times, so continuity is lacking. Other apartments do better at ensuring residents keep balconies neat and breezeways clean. Furniture, vacuum cleaners, boxes, mops, garbage bags, etc. are piling up on balconies looking more«trashy» than«luxury» as the apartment is advertised. Breezeways are stained with food drips that leak from garbage bags.(Management doesn’t enforce use of the Valet receptacle provided to prevent this. Posting reminders to use the receptacle does not correct repeat offenders.) No point in providing picture after picture to management showing garbage bags stockpiled outside your neighbor’s door every month. When the problem persists, you will be told that due to «privacy» issues they cannot tell you WHAT –IFANY– actions are taken. Also, I’ve reported electrical breakers tripping(5 times while stovetop cooking once) multiple times with no resolve yet. They replaced the breaker, then replaced it again, then replaced the blown out microwave(which had dried food splatter inside that I had to wait two days to be cleaned so I cleaned it myself). The next time it blew they stated the breaker was«sensitive» and to report if it continued. The next time they had a contractor come in to replace the breaker again. Now it is tripping with NOTHING even turned on/plugged in. I fear there will be a fire, but the fire truck will NOT be able to help because management allows cars to park and obstruct the Designated Fire Zone every day. Neutral: Keep in mind the floors are Pergo-type flooring with little insulation used. While it is pretty and easier to maintain than carpet, expect that you will hear considerable noise of others doing their routines. It is expected to hear every step above you. The walls are thin enough that in the quiet morning hours I can hear both upstairs and beside my apartment, the tenant’s vibrating cell phone alarm going off. I do not complain about this to management, because it is to be expected. If you want to be home and read a book in quiet every day, this place isn’t for you. You will need tv/music and ceiling fans turned on to block out the surrounding noise. I did call the courtesy patrol recently due to loud music and my ceiling being used for a heavy metal drum pedal. The officer did check on the issue within minutes, but not without first sounding annoyed and making reference to someone calling for«just a loud tv» previously. If you are not bothered by neighbors with furniture and garbage on their balconies, great! I don’t like it, and end up stressed and exhausted from making complaints and starting from scratch with each personnel turnover. If you wouldn’t be embarrassed for your friends to see six or eight garbage bags lined up outside your neighbor’s door over the weekends, this place may work out well for you! I can’t afford to move, so I’m trying to adjust down my expectations and accept that things won’t change. Bottom line: Don’t believe the«luxury sophistication» hype. I could go on about the abandoned junk vehicle that sat for months, or the piles of couches and mattresses at the dumpster for months, but this review is getting too long and depressing…

I’ve lived here since the complex opened and I’ve not one complaint! Maintenance has been great; every time I’ve called they are here the next day. Replacing light bulbs, exterminating etc! Management has changed quite a bit but all the changes have been a smooth transition! They complex is very well kept for the exception of pet poo but that’s nor here nor there. I love the club house to include all the amenities! I’ve been a lucky resident so far! Thank you Jesus!

This has got to be one of the worst apartment complexes I’ve lived at… and I move around quite a bit. The grills are always broken and there are only TWO. There’s only one pool and good luck if you live by the pool. Everyone drives to the pool and takes up all the parking spots. All of the garages have muddy water leaking in every time it rains. And NOW there is a $ 20 convenience fee charged for paying your rent online. Doesn’t sound very convenient to me! I can’t wait to move out of here. Not worth it.

Okay so granted this is a review of my boyfriend’s apartment complex, but still feel like a few things need to be mentioned to prospective renters. It seems like literally NOONE picks up their pets business(with the exception of my boyfriend). There are dog feces everywhere, so make sure never to step in the grass because you might get a stinky surprise. This really is the only bad aspect thus far, and hopefully with the new management things will get cleared up shortly. On a lighter note, the grounds are set up nicely and the apartments(from what I can tell) are very spacious. This complex is conveniently located right off of 151, with quick access to 151, 1604, and Culebra. There is a wonderful pool, pool table/game room, work our facility, and grills all at your disposal. They also offer(for an additional charge I believe) valet trash pick up 6 or 7 days a week. This is a pretty great feature if you live up on the 3rd floor and hate to schlep trash to the garbage can every week. Overall this seems like a great place to live.

Decent digs for the price. Valet trash service, prompt response by the office on any maintenance needs. Now drawbacks are that many of these great amenities are not free but added as small fees here and there.
