I would have never found this place if it weren’t for Unilocal.The store is located on the second place of an office complex on Huebner. It’s really hard to find. The store is in an enclosed cubicle within one of the rooms (it’s kind of like a Russian matryoshka — deeply nested).
The signs both on the inside and outside say «$ for phone» (?) but it’s the right place.
Anyway, this place is cool. The owner, who seems to be an UTSA alum, is super attentive and friendly. He buys every type of gift card, even locally owned chains, as long as he can verify the balance. The reimbursement rate seems to depend on the demand as well as type e.g. restaurant, stores, grocery stores, and etc. This store definitely pays a better rate than some (or the only) competitor in town. The sale process is pretty easy. I was in and out in less than 5 – 10 minutes.
I don’t really want to sound like an ad but this place does everything it advertises and offers a very fair rate.
