The Mongolian plate with the brown rice to go is my favorite, huge deliscous portion that is super healthy which makes it and easy favorite for me with the tofu and all the flavor but not to much spice. The boyfriend loves their lo mein with chicken and shrimp. Easy fast, and definitely affordable. What’s not to love about this place. It’s always super clean when we go in to!

I love this place! The food is always good and the flavors are always on point! It doesn’t matter if we dine in or take out. The food is always fresh and from time to time the menu will change with some new things to try. My go to plate or should I say bowl, is the pad tai with steak. Depending on your appetite you can choose between a regular or small bowl. For anybody who wants to try something different I definitely recommend this place.

My husband raves about how delicious this place is so, I finally gave in to go with him. Nothing really interested me on the menu quite honestly. I can’t even remember what the dish I got was called but, I do know the chicken was fairly dry. I was pretty sad because, I was starving. I added soy, sauce and only ate enough to where I could say«ok, Im not STARVING anymore.» Usually I eat until Im full and there is usually no left overs but, i had a lot of left overs. Maybe my taste buds are diff. So, as I always say, try it for yourself! I did like the cool soda machine they have. The one with tons of choices. I don’t drink soda lol but, i think the machine is neat. Oh, they only have pork egg rolls =(Also, I did like the atmosphere, it was pretty nice in there!

It’s Friday night with my daughter, so it must be Pei Wei night! It was kind of crowded, but we found a table. This time I tried the Dan Dan. Good flavor, but I of course had to add the chili sauce to it. Mmmm, good! My daughter had the Sesame Chicken. Looked good! We both got full and needed to take the leftovers. Good meal and more for later.

So unacceptable for a large corporation and chain restaurant. I ordered food from here about two weeks ago. I placed my order online and everything was confirmed. Then as I’m driving the 20 minutes it take to get there from my house I get a call saying they are out of lettuce wraps but they had Thai lettuce wraps and they had more flavor. Ok well I don’t have a choice since I’m already halfway there. I pulled up and went inside and waited another 15 minutes and paid for my order. The cashier shorted me a dollar… No big deal maybe she needed a tip… Then I ask for chili oil … and they are out … Whose out of everything in the middle of the week? Ok so i back and open my lettuce wraps what do I see BUGSBUGSBUGS. Every layer of lettuce had BUGS… I’m like wtf really??? So I called them and the and asked the manager is it the customers responsibility to wash the lettuce or do they do it? He said they are supposed to do at the restaurant. He said he’d refund my money but of course I paid cash… So he said they would mail a gift card with the refund… Ha sure you will… Never showed up and here the pictures with proof… If you want bugs in your food eat here. Nasty nasty

Haven’t had a bad experience yet. Love the food and the price. Kung Pao is my fave. The only thing I would complain about is the A/C. No matter where I sit, I have a vent putting an icy breeze on me. Not a bad dilemma and definitely not a show stopper.

What a huge disappointment! We love Pei Wei but this was our first time ordering from this location. Out of three entrees we ordered, only one of them turned out good. The orange peel chicken was the best entrée. I ordered the Pei Wei Spicy and it was just short of disgusting. The chicken was dry from being over cooked. I ordered it extra spicy and it was not spicy at all. There was hardly any sauce on it which made the entire dish seem even more dry. The sesame chicken I ordered was only a little better. It was the same, over cooked and dry. My husband poured sweet and sour sauce on his to try and help it but it did little. $ 30 for a meal that was a complete waste. The cashier that rang me up was rude. When I asked about a dish her response was short and rude. «I don’t eat seafood so I’m the wrong person to ask.» She seemed to be in the wrong career. If you’re going to be in food service, you have to deal with people. If you have a personality like that, you’re in the wrong business!

Worst location! I decided to try again since I was on my way home. This is how my Mongolian beef looked. Of course I ordered takeout, and didn’t look until I got home. The sauce was dark and thick(like jello thick). I’ve had to take burnt food back before. I like Pei Wei’s food, but this location is HORRIBLE!

Decent Asian take-out. I like that you can order online and pick up in the store(so convenient!), however, you definitely want to check your order before leaving. Last night I peeked into my to-go bag and there were two entrees in there that didn’t belong to me and one entrée was missing. The staff quickly fixed the mistake but it was obvious that they were frazzled by the amount of to-go orders that they were receiving that night(when I walked in there were at least 8 other people waiting for their orders). My online order said that my food would be ready at 7:20 and I ended up waiting 20 minutes beyond that, not a big deal but I could have been waiting around at my house if I had known better. Besides those small hiccups the food was tasty. My family tried the chicken lettuce wraps, mongolian chicken and sweet and sour chicken and everything was good. I like that you can add extra vegetables and have the option of ordering brown rice.

As far as fast casual is concerned this place is in the top. The staff is super nice and polite. The food is feel and yummy. We are a big family and ordered the Kung POw, chick lo mein, pad tai, lettuce wraps and 3 crunch rolls. It was fast and they helped us get extra plates. I have also ordered to go and it is quick. They have great orange tea and a fun coke soda machine. This is a family favorite that’s close to home.

I ordered the Mongolian beef which comes with mushrooms and scallions, but asked to remove the scallions. The food came out in a timely manner and the taste/flavor was great. However, the mushrooms were cold. Not room temerature cold, like straight from the fridge cold. It’s like they didn’t even cook them with the whole dish for more than 30 seconds. I’ve eaten at pei wei before, and this has been the worst yet experience; still good, just not as good as it should’ve been.

Ordered shrimp Thai dynamite w/white rice and wife ordered chicken w/ginger broccoli. Kids had chicken lo mein. Everything came out fast, correct and delicious. Been to other location on 1604 and Bandera and both are really good. I would defiantely recommend to everyone

I’ve had Pei Wei before with no issues but this particular location was bottom notched. My meal came 15min after my husband’s. I understood the delay though, there were 2 other tables and only 4 cooks. Obviously it was a busy time! And if that wasn’t enough, the icing on the cake or not, was the raw chicken pieces. Delicious! Now I’m off to buy lunch, again. Wonderful!

We’ve been to this location several times. The lettuce wraps, traditional chicken, are a standby and they’ve really got that recipe down. Usually, we try something different to go with it and it is never good. One time we got Pad Thai there. Oh, it was truly disgusting. We have ordered other dishes, Chinese deep fried items, and they were mostly tasteless. On a weeknight last week, we were running errands and decided to stop there. Plenty of tables open. We got two orders of lettuce wraps and since we saw there was sushi on the menu, decided to try the teriyaki roll. And it was good! The wraps were of course, amazing. The rolls were satisfying, had a good crunch too. There was a lot of some sort of wasabi sauce on the bottom, I tried wiping some of it off since it was a lot. Anyway, a very satisfying meal for an Asian flavor for dinner. Oh and a side note. After your meal, if you’re trying to leave the restaurant parking lot and go left on Potranco, it is scary. I’m always hopeful the good people of San Antonio will let us in since the traffic seems to always be backed up.

We ordered take out food from pei wei for the family and we all enjoyed our food. My daughter definitely loved the chicken fried rice. The customer service was very good and the staff was friendly. Pei wei was busy this evening upon arrival to pick up our take out food. When I arrived, my food was ready and the staff was able to assist me right away. Thanks pei wei we will definitely be going back for more take out food soon.

As far as a sort of fast-service Asian fare, this is about as good as it gets. Wide variety of choices from different countries, and always delivered quickly and piping hot. They are consistent with their recipes, and I never feel disappointed. I know it may sound kind of lame, but I prefer the pad thai here to almost any authentic thai restaurant. When you order the lettuce wraps, you can definitely tell they are affiliated with P.F.Chaings. The quality is just as good, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is actually the exact same recipe. I have yet to try anything here that I haven’t liked, and that even includes the children’s dishes. As a matter of fact, the pricing on the children’s plates is very reasonable, and the serving size is enough for two children or one adult. Considering most of the time when I order a full-size platter I end up with left-overs this is something to consider if you aren’t as hungry. The last time I stopped in, I noticed they added the option of smaller plates on their adult entrees. Like I just said, I always have left-overs, so I’m sure for some this is a great addition to the menu. Personally, I will stick to my full size pad thai plates, because the left-overs are almost even better the next day after being reheated :) Another cool addition they’ve added in the recent years is the coolest Coca-Cola machine I have ever had the pleasure of using. Take a pick from more sodas than I can even list, and my favorite part, add a flavor too if it floats your boat. Sometimes a strawberry sprite on a hot South Texas day! The only reason I docked one star is because of their take-out. And I did this very hesistantly, because even their to-go service is not that bad. They are very quick to prepare your meal and have it ready. I love ordering it online from my phone, because they save my favorite meals, and my payment options, making the whole transaction very quick. Typically the meals are ready within 15 – 20 minutes, so I order usually in my driveway, then head straight over. My only complaint is that they don’t always make sure to add the extras that I ask for. I know it sounds silly, but I love my pad thai from with extra lime, and it tends to make or break a meal for me. Nothing is more frustrating than getting home and realizing that the limes were not added to my order. This is obviously a very easily avoided problem by just checking your order before leaving the restaurant!(That is mostly a note to self lol)

Yes, you can find better Asian food in San Antonio. But this place has a few items that are pretty tasty. I’m a big fan of their Caramel sauce… it’s a sweet and spicy concoction that goes really well with either tofu or chicken. If you’re ordering to go, I strongly recommend placing the order online… there’s a ton of ways to customize the order(many of which don’t cost anything extra), and doing so will let you get onto a mailing list that sends out BOGO coupons fairly frequently.(Their coupons can be redeemed directly from a smartphone, which is another big plus.)

This place is disorganized, cooks are disoriented and working against each other, lettuce wraps are unwrappable, chicken was burned to a crisp, and the worst part, the place wasn’t even packed! Personally, I won’t be coming back again, I’d rather eat McDonald’s if I’m being fed something that taste just as bad!

This is convenient take out food for the middle of the week when there is no time to cook dinner. I like that we can pick up a quick meal here which also includes vegetables! That eases my guilt about picking up «fast food» rather than having a home cooked meal since we try to eat most of our meals at home. They offer a pretty wide variety of choices here and we have always been happy with the food. The restaurant has been clean the times we come in and we are usually able to pick up our order quickly.
