This is our first time trying this location. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Good friendly service and plenty of room to sit. Food was not to the best of quality when you talk about spices or overdoing it with sauce. Hubby had some sushi and he said it was average. Probably won’t come back to this location based in food alone.

First. I do not live in San Antonio. Second. Pei Wei is somewhere I have not been in a while since they don’t have them in Atlanta. So, when I stumbled across this place I was like, WHHHAAAATTTT, allow me to turn right here ans grab dinner. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. I got to go food — it didn’t take long to place the order and have the food made. The girl who took my order was nice and efficient. No complaints. I then proceeded to go back to my hotel and eat my body weight in Pei Wei. And I should have regretted it, but didn’t because it was delicious. :) I will be back next time I am in town.

I had the shrimp pad Thai, it was yummy! Tasted as it always has. Appreciate the service and good food!

If I could give this place no stars I would. I have been coming to this location for years and they have steadily declined. This evening I came for dinner with my family and had high hopes. I was disappointed however when my food arrived and I found a long piece of twine. The waitress asked if she could remake my plate and I agreed because honestly I was a little grossed out. So the waitress takes the plate away and comes back and tells me that the string is from the vegetables but they will remake my plate anyway. Geeze thanks Pei Wei for doing me a solid there! I not only paid for my food but then got reprimanded for complaining about inedible crap in my food. Needless to say this will be my last meal here.

The 1-star has everything to do with the cashier and nearly nothing to do with the food. I had called in an order to pick up since my wife and I were in the neighborhood and this was the last day to use a $ 10 coupon I had received for doing an online survey for Pei Wei. When I arrived, I was waiting as the young woman cashier with the butch hair and tattoos attempted to assist other customers. I was attempting to pull up the coupon on my phone when she asked if I was ordering or picking up. «Picking up,» I said. She asked if XXXXXX was my name and I replied that it was. She placed my bag on the counter next to the register and waited as I was attempted to locate the coupon on my phone. About 15 seconds had passed when she asked, «Are you ready?» The tone was obvious — a mix of frustration, impatience, and a rough day at work. I replied that I had a coupon and I was attempting to pull it up. «OK, so you’re NOT ready,» as she literally snatched the bag off the counter and placed it with a thud on the table behind her. «Who is next,» she asked. She looked to the golden-aged couple looking at a menu and they replied that they weren’t ready. She turned to pick up a take-out order that had just been set on the shelf, which she then bagged. He actions were, let’s say, telling everyone around her that she was not happy. She looked at me, again, saw that I was busy(only about 30 seconds had gone by since she last asked me), then turned to the older couple who had just taken a step closer to the counter — a sign that they had made their choices. «Are you finally ready to order, «she asked. Emphasis on the«finally.» She then took their order. I was able to get the coupon pulled up and after she took the couple’s order, she looked at me and I showed her the coupon. «I’m going to need a manager for this.» The manager arrived, was very pleasant, stated that he had never seen this coupon, punched in the code, and Robert’s your father’s brother — badda bing, badda boom, discount applied, money tendered, quasi-Chinese food in hand… We all have bad days at work. However, it’s not how you act when things are going well that define you but how you act when things aren’t going well. I personally believe that it’s our moral obligation to be positive and upbeat when around others regardless of the circumstances — with obvious exceptions such as funerals, deaths, etc. While the food was ok, the service received from this young woman was poor. Very poor.
