Beautiful venue, but what was the city thinking not making it easily accessible to physically challenged? Wow! What a ridiculous oversight!

This is one of the coolest amphitheaters along the San Antonio Riverwalk!(Isn’t it great to be able to say that? We have many more than one…) There are large stones for people to sit on, and metal chairs if you’re so inclined. I don’t think they’ve ever charged for a concert here. I go check out the Echale music series, which is always a blast, and a great use of the amphitheater. It’s beautifully situated along the Park at the Pearl, and the stage is built into the Riverwalk, with the performers having a little island to perform on. I’ve seen some pretty wild shows where people have almost ended up in the River during some huge jams being belted out on that little island. There are restrooms at the top of the hill, and a drinking fountain too. It’s ADA compliant, since there’s a looong ramp to get you down to the river, which is nice if you’re on a bike. There’s lots of great trees to lounge under and watch the river flow by. It’s a pretty great spot.
