Who would’ve thought that H-​E-​B could be a great grocery *and* create great restaurants? Oaks Crossing was unexpected and delightful. At $ 8, the classic burger is one of the least expensive items on their menu and wow, it was simply delicious. As a nice surprise, choosing sweet potato fries instead of regular French fries wasn’t even extra like it is at many other restaurants! For dessert, they serve their version of Disney World’s Dole Whip– vanilla soft serve with pineapple juice. It’s only $ 2.50 and it’s a very generous portion. I came with a large group and we started receiving our food within 5 minutes. I definitely recommend anyone around San Antonio making the drive up to check it out!

Horrible breakfast. Cold eggs. Bad toast. Bottle hot Sauce. Seems everyone just got to work. Nobody was ready to serve food. Like we caught them off guard. Usually good but NOT breakfast!

Stopped in for a quick dinner. Such a great idea.
They had a guy playing live music which is always a plus for me.
My hubby ordered the Tuna burger. I wasn’t able to get pics of this one. He started eating right away. Lol
My son had the wings. There were none left. I assume he loved them.
I ordered the shrimp tacos. These were really good. The plate came with beans, salsa and chips. The salsa was really good with a great flavor.
Wished I could’ve stayed a little longer to listen to the live music. I’ll make sure I have more time next visit.

I have been here so many times, I can’t even count. I think you can’t go wrong with anything you order here. My favorites are the El Cubano, potato soup, and everything brisket related. The best brisket meals I’ve had are the brisket nachos, brisket plate with double mac (because the mac&cheese is truly incredible), and the brisket sandwich. Also, they carry a beer on draft here that is hard to find, it’s The Yellow Rose IPA. It is a very smooth beer made with mosaic hops.
If you’re looking for a place to grab lunch or even just a place to grab a quick drink before grocery shopping, this is the place.

This place is honestly great! The past two times my fiancé and I have been, we’ve had an amazing experience! The turkey burger here is hands down the best I’ve ever had! The patio area is really nice! I can’t wait to come back and check out their happy hour!

Had drinks here. Didn’t eat but the place smells like amazing BBQ. Drink menu is great. Bloody Marys come with brisket which was awesome. Lexy is the best bartender they have! Ask for her. They don’t allow tipping but I wish I could.

Kids eat free on Thursdays! Food is Great Quality made fresh! No frozen chicken tenders here! Best Turkey burger I ever had juicy, flavorful, tender no weird gamey flavor whatsoever! Yummy chopped brisket great flavor just a tad too much BBQ sauce for me next time I’ll try it sliced n add the perfect amount of sauce for me. Dream Floats tasty and refreshing vanilla soft serve in pineapple juice so yummm! Beautiful CLEAN ambience, friendly staff. Fried pickles need more breading in my opinion. Can’t wait to come back!

If I could give negative stars today I would. It’s a shame how inconsistent service is here. Food comes out burnt and in twenty minutes I had to remind her of my drink order. Somebody who is maybe manager ish comes over and when we say we just wanna leave her doesn’t try to make things right he walks away

I ordered a caprese pizza to go. Got home with a pepperoni pizza… I’m a vegetarian. It’s also very over priced. $ 8 for a tiny 8″ pizza, (which is more oval than round so it’s really not even that big all around) It looks like a child’s pizza.

I have ordered several meals here and always has been excellent. Their turkey sandwich is incredibly tender and overall their barbecue sauce will rival any of the established BBQ joints in town. I have also ordered their tacos and salad and would do again.
I also enjoy waiting for my order because that is a reason to stay at the bar and have a drafted pint. Good selection of beers. There are people who hang at the bar but I can’t get over that’s it’s in a supermarket. But otherwise it’s a nice place for good food in a locality that lacks choice.

I had lunch here today and ordered the Smoked Pulled Chicken Tostadas. I enjoyed the Mexican street corn relish, and the salsa verde used with the pulled chicken.
The only feedback I have on my lunch is that the tostadas would have tasted so much better if it didn’t have glops of chipotle mayo. Next time I will order it and ask for them to hold the mayo. That ingredient wasn’t listed on the description, and not sure why a chalupa/​tostada would have mayonnaise on it.

New management emailed me regarding my previous post. He was very kind and offered dinner for my family and I will say, it is much much better. The food was great but the staff still seemed a bit stressed (not busy). We love this place and hope all works out so we can be regulars again. It’s a great location, super menu, nice outdoor seating and amazing potential!

I went here for the Sunday brunch and loved it!!! Probably the best bloody mary I have ever had! It was garnished with jalapeño stuff olives and a big hunk of brisket. The brisket was actually pretty amazing so I will be coming back to try the BBQ.
I had the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious.
They apparently have live music a few days a week and sounds like a pretty good happy hour.
Nice job HEB. You need to open another location at the Alon shopping center by me.

This place is inside HEB where I do most of my grocery shopping. My son was visiting in January and we decided to go have lunch and shop afterward. He ordered a turkey sandwich, he finished one half and started on the second half and noticed a hair inside, YUCK,! They gave him another fresh half of sandwich and refunded his money. I will probably not go back again. The food is fair. Not great, just convenient if you are hungry.
The Positive is I did appreciate them refunding the money and making things right. That is good customer service to me.

It has gone down since this place opened.
Burger patty overcooked, half the thickness from the past and the bun was cold, kind of disgusting.
Avocado kale mesh, please don’t order this appetizer, avocado look like it has been sitting there for 24 hours and tasteless.
For a salad that’s 10 bucks I expect fresh greens again greens look like it has been sitting out for a while and the foccocia bread that came along with the salad not fresh, stale!!!
Bbq chicken and Gouda pizza used to be my fav thing here, also not the same no more but compare to the other dishes properly the only thing that is edible.
No more visits from me. Too bad used to be good.

Well the portion size this time around was humongous, but I’d rather they sacrifice portion size and increase the quality. The portion was really too large. Add some more cheese to the chicken alfredo and serve less of it. Bread stick was meh. Bathroom is clean. The wi-​fi is practically non-​existent.
I brought my family here recently as well – food wasn’t so great, but I we did enjoy the enclosed, carpeted outdoor area for eating and playing.

I go so my kids can eat and then run around outside in the enclosed grass area when we want to unwind/don’t want to cook, but the attention to detail by the cooks is abysmal. Most times things come out cold and or greasy. They even manage to make their burger rolls greasy. Can’t understand the selection of such huge rolls for their burgers. Menu is below average and needs a fresh look. Food overall very bland, especially their salads.
Think the cooks believe by providing large portion that is enough. We always leave saying that the place, theme, and convenience (grab what you need at HEB on the way out) has potential, but they ‘always’ miss the mark with taste and quality control coming out of the kitchen. Shouldn’t the staff and cooks regularly try and eat what is being served?

Cashier was slow as molasses and concerned with other things besides taking orders. With only three orders ahead of me it took almost as much time to order as it did to get my food.

Burger is pretty good although way too much bun for the patty size. I’d stay away from the onion rings — light and fluffy but no flavor apart from greasy.
I love the Brussels sprouts, but there are too many for just one person.
I agree with other reviews. Service is SLOW. Only one other set of customers — and they both turned out to be restaurant employees. Still, my lunch took almost 20 minutes to be delivered.
