This is a really affordable store I helped my boyfriend get a lot of his army things he needed here. Of course they were the things he lost or just wanted because he thought they were cool. I like the assortment of uniforms you can get there plus scrubs. Not from outside apprentice would you ever expect this from looking but definitely a surprise to my eyes an let me tell you my eyes were like Jessica can you believe it, an I was like no eye’s I can’t an my mouth was like I gotta close because I’m in shock too. Yes my whole body was in shock an you will to but trust me you won’t be disappointed

I’m going to be sitting outside watching a hockey game on New Years Day. In Boston. I don’t think a paper thin coat from a Texas Nordstrom is quite up to the task lol. Went in to this military surplus looking for an issue pea coat, or a least a good sizing idea so I can order one from Ebay etc, and some thin thermal layers. Fully expected to be met/creeped out by Ted Nugent and a cadre of raging Doomsday Preppers. Or At the very least, a meeting of guys in pointy white sheets.(I blame my Law & Order habit for setting that expectation — apparently not all military surplus joints are operated by the Aryan Nation… whodathunkit? LOL) It’s a pretty great place, actually… In addition to the expected militaria(way more than expected, actually — tons of great stuff to choose from), there’s also a wide variety of Dickies-type work clothes, medical scrubs, and even a nice selection of Dr Martens shoes/boots available. The staff was super pleasant and helpful, even offering to reach out to their other location if I wasn’t finding what I needed there. I did find some UnderArmour-style thermal layers at a great price, and exactly the coat I ws hoping to find.(Super thick, made in America, and puts anything found in the mall to shame. It was $ 200 though, steep for something that will probably get about 2 weeks worth of use in its lifespan. If don’t find one one the cheap via the used market, I’ll be back for it though) Overall rad place — I’ll be back.

Nat Outdoors. Has a few piles that are reminiscent of a military surplus store. Several aisles of uniforms, chef coats, medical scrubs and lab wear. Prepper/militia type accessories available. Browsing here with no particular goal is better than a box store. Employees are helpful but hard to identify among customers, but you will be offered assistance at least every couple of minutes Expect the unexpected, you may find something fun or practical

Ok the store as all kind of things from all kind of countries, but some of the prices are quite expensive. I wouldn’t buy helmets or gas masks and believe they are still in working conditions, but they ones in a while have a couple of things that are there for a great price.

I love everything about these stores. you can find all kinds of vintage military clothing, hats, and boots. anything from bomber jackets to gas masks, thermals, socks, helmets, backpacks, knives. they have lots of camping gear too. the location on San Pedro is alittle bigger, but they are both excellent. the owner of the store on bandera can be a bit of a bitch but she will order almost anything for you if they don’t have it.
