This is a great spot right in the middle of things. We use the bakery to go ordering. Everyone that works here is super friendly, the selection is really good, and everything is fresh and local. I had the fried green tomato BLT, and it was perfect. Just the right combo of items and the bread was so good. There are other things on the menu I know I must try before I leave town.

We are staying at the Sheraton and this is the lobby bar. They have these great wine machines that dispense high end bottle by the glass. I’ve stayed here twice and both times they were broken. Also, the bar closes at 11pm. Way too early! To be fare I haven’t eaten here, so I can’t review that. Just atmosphere & bar service which was just ok. Update: We gave it another go and the wine machines were still down(power surge) but they were actively working to fix them. The Manager offered to open up a bottle and allow us to do a glass pour. Worth the wait as the wine was excellent. That is an example of the level of service I expect to see in an establishment such as MOH.

We went there around 2pm to have a late lunch. The reviews for the food were good and it was close to the hotel. We went in and got sat right away. There weren’t a lot of people since it was between lunch and dinner. They brought us water and menus. The waiter took our food order. He didn’t ask if we wanted something else to drink or anything else. While we waited for our food he never came back to check on us until I flagged him down to refill my water. The food took a LONG time to come out. The food was ok but nothing that made up for the bad service. There are many other places to eat and would not return.

I visited the bakery side and ordered the tuna wrap to go. My order was finished in under 10 minutes. The portions are huge and the wrap was delicious and fresh. They also serve breakfast so I will be returning to try it.

I made a quick stop before my appointment and this was the place. The place is decorated in a vintage style. I had a white mocha and a forest fruit pie and they were delicious. Angela the hostess was really helpful by seating me near an energy outlet as I requested. Samira was my server a did great spending some time to get to know me. For sure I’ll be back soon. Thanks MOH!

We happened to see the dessert case when heading back to our hotel for the night and had to check it out. Upon arriving inside there is an older couple, a man with his small child, us, and 3 people behind the counter. The older couple was in the process of placing their order with one employee while two of the people«working» seem to really just be wandering around aimlessly. Not conversing. Not cleaning. They just seem like they are waiting out their shift. Meanwhile, 10 minutes pass and we aren’t even acknowledged still! At this point I’m ready to just call it and leave(but that cheesecake looked delightful). Once we were assisted, we ordered two pieces of the bananas foster cheesecake. A little pricier than I think it was worth but it was really good! Super sweet and neither of us could push through the sugar to eat it all.

Great downtown breakfast, lunch, dinner options @ good prices. Plenty of from scratch entrées and desserts.

I am pretty sure that everything that they make is pre packaged and thawed in time for you to eat it. The wedge salads had BOTTLED blue cheese dressing and not fresh bacon bits. The tea tasted like it was straight out of the soda fountain and not Brewer. The crab cakes are $ 12 and you get TWO that are each 1 inch in circumference. Honestly I could have spent $ 10 at HEB and had the exact same meal from the exact same brands that they probably use and microwave for you. They really fool you with the elegant interior into thinking that it’s a hip, Austin-y restaurant, RUNAWAY!

You know you’re doing something wrong when someone creates a Unilocal account just to write a bad review of your restaurant. The real problem with the restaurant is its service, or rather it’s lack of service. Here I am thinking, «Wow, a pretty looking restaurant inside a reputable hotel? What could possibly go wrong?» Well, things did. For one, the waiters just walked by for a solid 10 minutes without even acknowledging me. I ended up finally getting offered coffee and then asked if I wanted any other drink. When I said no the waiter kind of looked at me as if he were dumbfounded that anyone would only want to drink coffee and nothing else for breakfast. It was kind of weird. And then I got to order after another ten minute round of waiting. Yay. $ 11 and all I get is an omelet? Pfft. Pricey, but maybe that’s just me being used to the amazingly low prices of food in Wichita. Also ordered a side of breakfast potatoes, to which the waiter looked at me with pure confusion that someone would order a side dish. Weird, again. And then I watched as an unsuspecting couple sat down at a table next to me. They weren’t ready for the waiting game. They got about five minutes into waiting before the husband asked a waiter to get them something to drink. The waiter replied with, «I’ll be right back, give me a second.» Uh, they’ve given you 300 seconds already. Eventually they got their drinks and the waiting resumed. The husband had flag the waiter down again in order to order, but by the time the waiter got to the table they stopped taking orders for breakfast. The husband tried to explain that they’ve been waiting since before breakfast ended but that waiter wasn’t gonna have none of that logic and reasoning. He told them, «Well, we have more options for lunch.» The wife had enough and said they were leaving. Waiter didn’t seem to care too much about the money angrily power walking out the door. Food finally came for me. It was alright altogether. Omelet was good but the potatoes were bland. Not much to really say. I don’t recommend coming here. The only reason it didn’t get one star is because of the omelet and setting. That’s about it.

Very disappointing. Walked into the restaurant after the lunch rush. Five employees were enjoying conversation. Stood waiting to be acknowledged for quite sometime where we were told we could sit anywhere. I am with one other person and we are the ONLY people in the place. It’s taken over 25 minutes to get food — grilled cheese and mushroom tacos. In that time no one has asked if we’d like any additional water, tea or beer. Haven’t even gotten the food and not sure this place could redeem itself. Very disappointing Sheraton. *** waited for food for 30 minutes. Food came and in no way made up for the wait time. Food was cold and incomplete. Staff seemed to care more about their obnoxiously loud conversation than serving customers. Worst food and service I’ve had in Texas.

Went for restaurant week– ordered the burger. The burger was good, the poblano soup was good with a kick! The dessert was a chocolate waffle Brownie, basically three chocolate waffles stacked. For $ 15 for lunch 3 course meal it wasn’t bad. What annoyed me was the service. They took too long to bring everything. For those who go for lunch– they should be quicker. Considering how long it took, not sure about returning.

Live across the street so the food was actually still hot when we ate it but the grits were absolutely bland. There was no flavor what so ever. The charcuterie plate was just meat with olives and stale bread and the margherita pizza was disappointing. For fifty dollars for three items they completely let me down.

Let’s start with the fact that this place is NOT kid friendly as stated in the info details. No kid friendly food. No kid friendly cups. As for the food, it’s average. I had the Pork Panini. It was extremely dry and bland. Subway would have been a better option, seriously. I got pizza for the kids — it too was average and bland. The food was served on fancy rectangle shaped plates. Don’t let the fancy plates fool you… I’d stay away from this place.

Unfortunate experience, we went with a group of 6 and ordered a set of appetizers with our entrees. The pork belly sliders that our server brought out literally had a dead cockroach on the plate. When we told the server she left the plate with the cockroach on our table for several minutes while she went to find her manager. Ultimately they waived the check, but I definitely have concerns about other potential health code violations there, and can’t understand how they let that get on the plate.

I have had several meals here with consistent quality. The food was very tasty and the prices are very reasonable. The staff was excellent and I would highly recommend this restaurant. Great wine and home made bakery items. A++

Another regular in my lunch rotation. The service is very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. When the restraint is busy the server is sometimes overwhelmed as it appears only one server is working during lunch. But this is an issue that management has created. I have really enjoyed their interpretation of the classic Cobb Salad. Very tasty and filling. I also like the ahi tuna wrap. So much flavor wrapped up neatly in a delicious package. I also really enjoy the poblano soup. A very filling and delicious meal. I had been here years ago for breakfast but it was a Unilocal event that reintroduced me to this great spot and got me to think about MOH for more than just breakfast.

A nice bar. A pleasant space next to the restaurant. Sports on the TVs. Good cocktails at fair prices and a friendly, if a bit distracted, bartender. The martinis are well-made. The lemon peel was fresh. They offer two decent ports. The most outstanding thing, if you are feeling peckish, is the cheese plate. Large portions of three different cheeses, toasted bread, grapes, and jam. A real bargain at $ 6. They close rather early, but this is a good spot for cocktails.

I always assume the worst of in-hotel restaurant options… but the few really positive Unilocal reviews convinced me to try Market on Houston when we were staying at the Sheraton — plus it has a relatively vegetarian-friendly menu for reasonable prices. BUT, I thought it was just whatever. FOOD *Tomato soup — really watery *Broccoli salad(from the deli case) — kind of bland *1909 burger — my husband got it – it’s pretty small, and just okay(with whatever chips) LOGISTICS *Inside the Sheraton Gunter — so if you’re staying there or nearby, points for convenience *Decently priced — especially considering how pricey food can be in that area *Service was really spotty — there was no hostess there when we walked in, and then the bartender was trying to balance managing the bar and some of the nearby tables, which made it harder to get his attention *TVs on/around if you’re looking to catch a game of some kind I mean… if you need to eat… then yes. But, if you can afford to drive out a little further or eat a little nicer, I’d recommend it.
