This small restaurant is easy to miss when driving down Castroville Road. But keep your eyes peeled and you’ll find It nearby HB Gonzalez Elementary. They run a breakfast taco special(three of the same kind until 10AM for only $ 2.49) that will leave your belly and wallet smiling afterwards. Overall the place looked relatively clean. Paintings of horses and actual horseshoes adorned the walls, giving off a warm, Texan atmosphere. Employees were friendly but didn’t speak much English. The menu was extensive(enchiladas, puffy tacos, etc.), but I only tried the chorizo and egg breakfast tacos. The warm tortillas tasted homemade and were wonderfully fluffy and soft. Equal parts chorizo and egg paired with a spicy green sauce made this one of the better tacos I’ve had in SA. Only drawback? Small parking lot but it wasn’t that crowded in the morning. Did I mention that you can leave satisfied spending less than $ 3? Great for a student’s budget!
