I came in at 7pm on a Tuesday evening. The service was great but the quality of the sandwich was poor. The bread was hard which was a real bummer. I’ll stick to my favorite location on Wurzbach and NW Military.

Got the Buffalo chicken philly. It was the most disgusting sandwich I’ve probably ever purchased from a sandwich place. It lacked flavor and the thin shredded chicken made it a weird texture. There was no vegetables or anything else in it. It is not even worth the cost of it because of how basic it is. Clean restaurant but nasty food.

I got the Philly cheesesteak and it was subpar. The meat was salty and they forgot to add the onions and peppers.

Good food but horrible service. Went to pickup lunch today and got back to work and realized they screwed up the order. On top of that I didn’t even get a receipt. This location is always cramped and understaffed at lunch time.

Fresh, fast and friendly! Hard to ask for much more than that. The hot pepper relish is a must! Mild heat with lots of flavor. Pretty standard sandwich options, club, turkey, etc. While creativity may not be on the menu the standards are certainly delicious! They also have a rewards/point program.

Terrible! I went in, waited 10 minutes to order, got a kaiser(small) cold sandwich, it took them 15 minutes to make it, there where only 4 customers in the restaurant so it shouldn’t have taken so long, they messed up people’s orders and they where rude, they obviously didn’t want to be there. Will never go back and will not recommend it, and I work across the street.

I will never return to ANY Lenny’s Sub Shop, that’s how horrible of an experience I just had. It was quite surprising, too, especially after reading all of the positive reviews here on Unilocal.Yes, the«manager» gave me 50% off coupons to come back but I would rather donate those to someone who will actually use them because, like I just said, I am NEVER going back to Lenny’s. Here’s why: My other half and I ordered 2 French dips, both on white bread. I can definitely appreciate the nutritional benefits of wheat bread, but don’t screw with my French dip by making it with wheat bread. Especially when I did not order it that way. So after eating about half of the first half, we realized(I was too busy being a chatty Cathy to notice) that both of our sandwiches were made on WHEAT bread, even though right there on the receipt it said White. I flagged down an employee who said she would have the manager come over. Mind you, I didn’t dare approach the counter to let them know about my sandwich because the line was pretty long by that point. Little did I know that the cashier(the name on the receipt said Sangita) was also the manager. Usually there is a manager sitting in the back just waiting to address customer issues such as this one. Needless to say, we waited about 10 minutes for the line to clear and then an additional 5 for her to even come to the table. When she finally did, I told her the situation and she said I should have let them know right away so they could have addressed it(basically saying it was too late to re-make our orders). I even told her we would never come back, yet she still gave me 2 lousy coupons, not even free coupons, they were coupons for 50% off. Ever since we first stepped out of our car it was just awkward all around. There was what looked like feces on the outside stairway along with the odor of bleach as if they made a half-ass attempt to cover up the mess. Upon entering, the set-up was just funky. I felt rushed, couldn’t even see the veggies being placed on my co-workers sandwich, and the employees didn’t seem too enthusiastic to be working there. I doubt that there was even a point in time when my «hot sandwich» was even hot because after sitting in the window for several minutes, it came out ice cold. Even the au jus was all watery and tasteless. Another observation: when the employee was replenishing the chips, she just stuffed the new bags of chips in front of old ones. Tsk tsk tsk. I’m over it though, there are plenty of other delicious sandwich joints for me(and hopefully you) to give your business to.

Worst first experience ever! I visited Lennys Sub shop during my lunch break with a few coworkers after purchasing a Groupon. BIG mistake! The moment I stepped up to the building there was vomit all over the wet staircase and the stench of bleach filled the air… I gave them the benefit of the doubt; at least it looked like they tried to clean it… Once inside I noticed that the store looked disorganized and the employees seemed confused. The menu wasn’t very great either, Lennys advertises 12 sandwiches starting at 3.95, however the only sandwiches at that price was a ham or veggie sandwich so I’m not sure what happened to the other 10. I decided to order the beef dip sandwich on wheat and my friend ordered the Italian sandwich on white bread. The first thing I didn’t like was the fact that you can’t see the veggies. All the vegetables are in a long chrome fridge. My friend most certainly didn’t like that a bug could have been lounging in the lettuce and she was very disappointed that ranch dressing cost extra(free at subway) and that Lennys does not toast their sandwiches. As I was waiting in line the lunch rush walked in and everything became chaotic. The cashier had a heavy accent and I was unable to understand most of what she asked. Behind the cashier I noticed my sandwich on a windowsill and it looked very tasty from afar. I paid for our food, filled up my cup with sweet tea and before I could sit down a worker was running around the dining area and set my sandwich down on a table. We all sat down and took a bite of our sandwiches. Sad to say, my ‘hot’ beef dip sandwich was cold. Yum… Then I washed it down with my sweet tea, even more of a disappointment, it was more like colored water. Where’s the sweet?! After another bite I noticed that the bread on my sandwich was different, it wasn’t white bread, it was wheat bread! I flagged down the server and told her about my predicament. Once the manager decided to address the problem I had already eaten half the sandwich… I only had a few minutes remaining until my lunch break was over. I was starving. Ms. Sangita advised me that there was nothing she could do and that I should have told her about it while I was paying for my food… so basically it’s my fault that her staff messed up my order and unfortunately my ‘hot’ sandwich was hanging out by a window far, far away from me while I was paying for my food. If there ever is a next time I’ll be sure to bring a pair of binoculars to check if my sandwich looks ok. A few minutes later the manager stopped by my table, apologized again and gave me two coupons which looked like they were out of the newspaper advertisements. Jeez thanks. Just when I thought everything was over I took another look around and noticed the employee who was stocking the chips was not practicing FIFO, First In First Out. Weird! I should have listened to my other coworkers who told me to avoid Lennys like the plague. Next time I’ll take their advice and try out Jimmy Johns or Firehouse subs. I hope to never have to experience a moment like this ever again.

Although the was a slight issue with being charged double at first. The owner once being made aware of the issue took immediate action and was very apologetic. We are frequent members to this location and are always very satisfied! Coming from Philly it is great to get a Philly steak and actually enjoy it(obviously everything except the roll). Keep up the great work and showing how much you care about your customers!

I used to come to Lenny’s quite often during lunch. But hadn’t been in a while and my first time back wasn’t that great. The sandwich was just Bleh! I have eaten at Jersey Mikes which i will continue to go to for sub sandwiches!

Their sandwiches are excellent and delicious. The philly sandwich and roast beef are great. The meat and the veggie are fresh. It’s a little place to eat. I went over there at lunch. Their employee checked with your food many times like others said. It’s not one of the big companies sandwich place. I definitely recommend to eat. I will go back to eat again!!!

Lenny’s is a great little place to stop by and grab lunch. It used to be my best kept secret, then I spread the word about the place and ever since, it’s ALWAYS been ridiculously packed during lunch, which is understandable. If you’re going at lunch time and want to get your sub pretty fast, then you need to get there at 11AM on the dot, because with this sub place being in the Medical Center, there’s lots of employees and lots of people who LOVE it! If you get there any later and there is a line, you will more than likely be waiting 15 minutes for your sub(unless of course you order a deli style, which is what they make right in front of you). Anywho, we tried Lenny’s after passing it up many times in the past. We absolutely fell in love. If we ever want a good lunch we always know that the safe place to go is Lenny’s. The service is fantastic. It’s «fast food» but you seriously feel like you’re being taken care of. All of the employees walk around, offering to take your finished plates, fill your drink up, wrap it up to-go, it’s just fantastic. The food is just a whole-nother story! I’ve gotten quite a number of things off the menu, but my favorite is BYFAR the Philly cheese steak hoagie! Yummmm! And their hot relish they put on the sandwiches(you don’t have to have it) is HOT, but is amazing at the same time. The longer it’s been here, the more popular it’s become, primarily because it is just so good! Surprised that this place doesn’t have more good reviews, but definitely check it out. Also, if you’re part of their rewards club you constantly get coupons(buy one get one free, get a free bag of chips & drink w/purchase of sub) it’s great! Woohoooo! Go Lenny’s!

Run by the owners, it’s at a good location and serves your average Lenny’s franchise subs. They slice the meats in front of you and their hot chili is alright. There’s a discount for students. Plenty of parking.
