Good food consistent with other locations. Mediocre service. Errors in order. Coffee Americano arrived after completion of breakfast. Pleasant ambiance, but overall impression was that of unconcern with customer satisfaction.

I love coming here for brunch. Their little fruit tart and crème brûlée and pretty yummy. I really enjoy their eggs benedict and my husband liked their breakfast croissant sandwich. If I come for lunch/dinner I always get their tomato bisque soup, it’s super delicious! The only thing that peeved me is how rude one of the girls who works there was rude to my husband. We came at 9 am and he order«the croissant sandwich». She rolls her eyes and say«Which one?» he replies with«The one on the breakfast menu», she replies with a rude«we have a lot of croissant sandwiches…» so my husband grabs a menu and points at the item on the menu to which she say«Ohh the BREAKFAST croissant!» Like seriously dude? It’s 9 am in the morning, what croissant sandwich do you THINK he wants? Anyways, the food is good and the customer service for the most part is on point so I will continue to frequent this establishment. I recommend it for a nice quick brunch/lunch.

Was my salad recycled? The place has gone downhill. Dirty. Everything sticky, dirty. The guy at the front has been there for years. I don’t think he realizes that his mannerism is rude(a bit crass and pushy). Chaotic and cafeteria-like. Not a single glass in the trays were clean. I had to pick the one less dirty. Salad was completely wilted and tasteless. Bummed out. They need a face-lift and work on having fresh food again. There was one nice guy helping behind the counter.

I just ordered the American breakfast with soft poached eggs. While I was served a soft poach — ITWASICECOLD!!! I thought I had refrigerated eggs. The rest of the food, toast and bacon, was at best at room temperature. The waitress offered to replace the old eggs, but who wants to wait for hot eggs while the remaining food gets colder. These folks never heard of warming the plates either since that’s the only way to bring warm toast. I’ve been to many La Madeleine locations this stands out as the worst!!!

My husband and I had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. I have never eaten here before but, heard good things about the chain. So decided to try it out one day. 1. Very confusing on how you place your order especially if you have never been here before. 2. Not very friendly crew there to help you out. 3. Food was ok… the only thing that was tasty was the cream of mushroom soup. 4. Dirty floors/sticky and yucky. 5. Dirty bathrooms.-Glad I went after I ate my meal. 6. They rush you through their line. Not very nice especially if you have NEVER been there before. Feels like you are in a cafeteria setting. Nothing special.

I wish that I would have taken a picture of the first salad that was given to me. We come here often and only ever have an issue when a certain man is making the salads. I ordered the strawberry spinach salad and my partner the caesar chicken salad. She asked for fresh lettuce because the lettuce on display was brown and nasty looking. So she got fresh, however he proceeded to top it with croûton«powder» not even crumbles. Just the crap at the bottom of the bucket. As he made my salad he was to lazy to wash out the mixing bowl so I ended up with old wilted spinach from the previous persons salad. He also never changed his gloves between customers and wiped his sweat from his face several times. It was flat out gross and pure laziness. What a disappointment! Thankfully the woman at the cash register agreed to remake our salads. We love It here. However if you come and there’s a heavy set man with lots of facial hair making salads turn around and leave or order from the kitchen!

How about let’s not roll our eyes whenever a customer comes in super happy? The two workers we encountered were unhappy that we walked in. Both of the ladies were impatient and expressed that they didn’t want to be there taking our orders. The food was terrible. Everything we got was just terrible and way overpriced. They do not even care to chop their salads correctly not give you correct proportions. No one cares. We also got a couple of desserts and you could taste they were old or not made correctly. I don’t understand how this place stays in business. We were 100% dissatisfied and do not recommend La Madeleine(or at least this location) to anyone.

Love this location! This is my, «it’s ok to eat alone restaurant»…you can walk in order what you want and go to cozy corner to enjoy your meal. The pastries are always extra yummy and customer service is on point. Know that this location gets really busy starting at 11:30am but people don’t tend to linger so there’s always a places to sit. Lately, I’ve been sampling their breakfast menu and so far so good. Make sure that if you order the American Breakfast that you have them heat up your croissant, the breakfast potatoes are slightly on the salty side, but their breakfast ham and egg croissants seem to be my favorite. Their coffee is on the weak side but doesn’t taste bad. Try a bit of everything for lunch and dinner, they make a mean salad! My favorite is the salad sampler, easily shareable. Sign up for their rewards programs for all sorts of free perks!

I loved this place! The sandwiches were really good, I got the turkey with bacon and my mom got the tuna. Bread was very fresh, Caesar salad was good as well. Nice employees and really quaint atmosphere! Will definitely be back!

La Madeline is the ol’ school restaurant the business of fast-casual. I’ve been eating there since I can remember, starting with the first one on Mockingbird Lane in Dallas. They can always be counted on for consistently good food, including the wild field salade and the salade sampler trio(always choose the Strawberries Romanoff). They are my go-to place versus the plethora of Tex-Mex places that San Antonio has to offer, and the first place my mom and I stop when she is in town. During the year, they have many offers via email or receipts for free desserts, tea, or coffee, as well as a $ 5 booklet filled with goodies that all the proceeds go towards feeding local children. You can order to-go over the phone, buy desserts and bread to take home, and buy their famous tomato-basil soup or balsamic vinaigrette dressing pre-packaged to take home. The employees at this location always greet you with a «Bonjour» and are fast. Some of the patrons, however, need help from a piece of cake or a pain au chocolate to add a smile to their face.

This is a nice little place for brunch. I came on a Sunday with a friend. It was busy but we got through the line quickly. The service was very quick, efficient and friendly. The food is always good. I love the bread and jam and could honestly just fill up on that. Definitely always a good choice for lunch or brunch with friends.

I have a bowl of their French Onion Soup & a side Caesar salad! Both delusions! They offer cheese and bread on the French onion… But it is not automatic, you have the choice. Which I liked because sometimes the bread can be too much. The Caesar is mixed for you while you are in line. Can you say… Fresh! :P and for after dinner I got a Carmel Macchiato from their coffee bar. It was amazing!

French baked goods are meant to be savored, and the cozy dining area with rustic tables and a fireplace are quaint and inviting for such a meal. Menu is surprisingly large, with soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, in addition to drinks and pastries. I’m not a fan of the croque monsieur sandwich here, but their fruit tarts and other small treats are usually delicate, photogenic, and tasty. The French onion soup is a favorite winter meal, and they have some cheap lunch specials. The line gets backed up easily during lunch, so it may not be a great option if you’re in a hurry. If you have time to linger, the tables are big enough to bring in your laptop and keep working, and service is pretty chill about it, too. Join their e-club for the occasional discount coupon or freebie, usually on your birthday and Bastille Day.

If you want fresh, delicious, tasty breakfast or lunch without all the grease and crap that most places have than this is the place to be! I have eaten here for years at many locations and it has only disappointed a couple times. First time they disappointed it was the male manager at this location. Second time because the salad wasn’t fresh that day. Other then those times they have always had great customer service food has always been fresh and tasty. I think I’ve tried pretty much everything from there hot pastas to their breakfast and I have to say in have loved them all! The basil soup and potato soup are great you have to do cheese and bacon in the potato soup. Love that e everything is made fresh daily. Their selection of desert is how do you say… Magnifique!!! Great menu for kids, great price for the quality of the food, very busy during lunch times!

I’m come to La Madeleine for three reasons: Spinach Salad with Chicken added Mushroom Soup Free bread and jelly(by the beverages) The spinach salad features a few of my favorite things: bacon, strawberries, nuts of some kind, bacon, spinach of course, and bacon. I recently started adding the chicken, which is a little too chopped up for me(think barbeque chicken sandwich chopped up chicken) but I needs the protein, so I always add it. The place is kinda cozy and always warm. Free wifi too.

Stopped here for dessert. Dessert = 5 stars. Coffee = 3 stars. Service = 0 stars. Apparently, Selma didn’t think we were the right kind of customer for La Madeleine. Either that or she completely lacks customer service skills. As good as the desserts are, I’ll find some place else where we feel more welcomed.
