After proclaiming this place one of my favorites in San Antonio, it is due for an updated review. The food at this restaurant is superb. They offer interesting and upscale Tex-Mex cuisine. Unlike 99.9% of the other Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants in San Antonio, this place offers more than just some beef in a tortilla with a sprinkle of Monterrey jack cheese. They offer some very unique combinations of red sauces, green sauces, gruyère cheese options, and traditional chile relleno. My favorite items are usually the enchiladas. They offer so many unique combinations and fresh ingredients at a reasonable price(most plates under $ 18). As for the restaurant itself, diners can eat in their indoor dining area which is an old converted house with a bar and lounge area or they can dine outside in their lovely garden. The garden has lights and heaters for when it is cold and they also have a great open air event room that opens up to their garden as well. I can’t ever tell how to dress at this place because I always see people in suits stepping out of $ 80,000 cars but I also always see people in Texas A&M T Shirts and shorts.
