Juanito’s Restaurant

I decided to give Juanito’s a try because multiple times on my commute to work, I got stuck because the drive-​thru line for breakfast tacos was backed out into the street. Now I’m there at least once a week. Before Juanito’s, I thought there was no such thing as a bad breakfast taco, only mediocre ones. Now, Juanito’s is the standard against which I measure every breakfast taco in San Antonio and am frequently disappointed because Juanito’s is just so darn good. No, this is not a fancy place with gourmet choices or stellar ambience. But when it comes to breakfast tacos, they nail everything on the head. Their tortillas are some of the best I’ve ever had. Always fresh, always hot, always fluffy. Their beans are incredibly flavorful. Their bacon is thick and cooked just right. Their ranchera sauce has the perfect amount of kick. Their house salsa pairs amazingly with eggs. Service is always super fast and friendly and you can get stuffed full of breakfasty goodness for two bucks and change.

Breakfast… Can’t beat those tacos at those prices. Sunday barbacoa… So addicted! Sitting in and eating? Food is 4 stars but the service was always there coffew never hit bottom! It’s busy… So they are doing something right. At night the drive through will still run… Early in the morning between drive throughs and your walk in crowds, this place seems to always be hopping. Walked in and ordered take out, staff has always been super friendly. Ordered through the drive through. I get the same friendliness, our order has always been quick for a busy place. The order is thorough and i always have enough homemade salsa, napkins and silverware along with a correct order.
I love this place, i love their homemade tortillas and from scratch food. My wife’s grandmother’s is my favorite but for price/​value/​taste very very well worth it. Especially the Barbacoa.

I just love entering through the drive-​thru and you can smell the homemade tortillas and also view the women rolling the dough for today’s tortillas! This place is also great for breakfast specials from 6 AM to 11 AM you can get a egg ranchero plate that consist of two eggs, fried potatoes, refried beans and two homemade tortillas for only $ 1.99 you can also get 3 breakfast taco for $ 1.99 as well. I posted a picture of the taco variety list for you to view. I also love how friendly the man at the drive-​thru is when placing my order. If you are looking for something cheap and taste good I’d recommend this restaurant.

Good home style texmex fare. Real down to earth food just like grandma to make. The price is right and the service was great. Yep had the $ 1.99 enchiladas and they were on point. Also have done the early morning breakfast tacos and again very tasty. Salas here are spicy and more flavorful than the going rate in the good old St. Mary’s gateway hood.
