This store keeps getting my order wrong. And I usually don’t complain, but if I am charged for extra cheese, I’d like to receive it. Hence the reason I asked for it.

Ordered a #9 with extra hot peppers on April 24th, 2016 around 7:30pm. I eat JJ probably 2 – 3 times a week. Moved in to a new apt that’s less than a mile or so away. So the story commences… Order took 20 minutes, while not forever long, not freaky fast. Get my order, a sandwich meal that cost me $ 14 after tipping the guy. Sandwich was completely wrong, no peppers, tea was all over the place and no straw. Called to tell them it was incorrect and their response was, don’t take a bite out of that one and we will send another one. So now I wait another 20 min and forgive me, I’ve seen«Waiting” — I’ll eat what I get. Apologies, I get it. It’s not fine dining but if you’re going to deliver food, commit to fast delivery, and consider your food-quality important… Do better. Next time I’ll order from the one down town or go to one of ten other sandwich places around town.(I.e., subway, firehouse, HEB, you get the point.)

Their customer service is outstanding! Thanks Joey! Also, they are quick on their feet. We had them change regular orders to box lunches and they did so in no time! Tip: they take the bread out of the bread used to make the sandwich. Ask for«bread in» and you get all the yummy bread.

Their delivery area is extremely small, only one mile circumference around their shop. Other than that, their sandwich is a-ok. Friendly staff and quick sandwiches

I figured I’d give them another try on the off chance they were having a bad day. I ordered online this time for delivery. They forgot to bring the chips and I requested napkins which they also forgot. I caught the delivery driver on the way out and let him know my order was missing the chips. He stated that it wasn’t his problem and that I have to call the store. Called the store and gave them my order and the lady on the phone started arguing with me about the online order which is printed properly stating chips and to please add napkins. They did get the missing items over to me in under 5 minutes with a free cookie as a sorry. I just wish this place was more consistent as we have catering needs that would be easily filled by them.

Food safety issues abound here!!! I came to this location while looking for a house and was so so disappointed. The person slicing the meat was texting while handling food – do you any idea how much bacteria and viruses live on phone screens? He bearded gentleman making sandwiches was cleaning and then scratched his head then went on to touch food without washing his hands. There was a guy that kept touching the food in the make table, again without washing his hands even after sweeping multiple times – at one time grabbing food directly from make table, putting in his mouth and not once washed his hands or changed gloves. Gloves don’t protect you from this unless you wash your hands first. I was in the restaurant for 40 minutes and not ONCE did I observe the team wash their hands. The food safety violations were so bad that I have decided to notify the local health department. It’s a shame that this team has obviously not been trained to safely handle food and I for one, will not be a customer of Jimmy Johns

This is the worst Jimmy Johns I’ve ever been to. The pickle tasted off, the meat was thinner and there was less than it should have been. Also there was a lot of water in our subs. Three of us went and we all had the same experience. The people inside were polite, but when we called back they just wanted us to drive all the way back up there and have then remake it. We just dealt with, but won’t go back.

This event is a true story. Never been to this restaurant, so I ordered a tuna sandwich. Girl at registered immediately rings it up. I told her I wanted wheat bread on the sandwich. She immediately looks at the sandwich maker. Very rudely, she tells me, «Look, you should have told me you wanted wheat before ordering, next time you come here make sure to say you want wheat!» I told her this was my first time here, and even Subway employees ask you what type of bread you want. And your premise is faulty… there isn’t going to be a next time.” I sat down a little angry. So, the manager comes to the table with my sandwich. I thought he was going to try and set things straight, but oh man, was I wrong. He tells me, «Look she(the employee) is right. You need to tell her you want wheat before ordering! «It’s rare that I find myself speechless, but I was. I thought of the book From Good to Great, apparently I missed the book these employees read. From Good to Hell Hole Crappy!

My sandwich was great. However, the deliver guy dropped off my drink at our front desk at my work and left before I even got up there to pick it up. I come and my drink has a hole in the bottom leaked all over our front desk. Didn’t even get to tell the guy so I could get another. Called them and asked them for another drink because my front desk staff said they saw him drop my drink. The lady was helpful and said yes but then called back minutes later saying her manager didn’t approve for them to bring me another drink. Even though the I told them the deliver guy dropped my drink, which I had to throw away because of the hole. My drink was leaking that much. I explained how my drink had a hole because he dropped it and they insisted that if he did drop it the cup would have broke it he would have notice their was a hole. But how am I suppose to know he didn’t notice it if he left before I even got up to the front desk to thank him since I had already tipped him. Either way I didn’t make that hole in my drink and I was upset I paid $ 2.50 for a large drink and couldn’t even get another one that thee deliver guy messed up in the first place. I don’t care how good the food is I’m not going back because their customer device was horrible, they could have taken 5 minutes to bring a drink that they messed up in the first place.

Jimmy John’s always seems to do well. Became a fan a few months ago and haven’t had a Subway or Quiznos sandwich since. The Gargantuan feeds me plenty for the next few days!

JJ’s never disappoints. My favorite thing about this place is their bread is always super soft. My fav bread compared to other sub places. Always clean inside and like their motto. You’ll get subs so fast you’ll freak.

First time back in almost a year(since moving downtown) and it will awhile before I go back. Service is down, the sub was mediocre and the staff behind the register tried to keep the change(more than they deserved for bad service). After paying I asked for my change which was almost $ 4. The kid at the register told me I would get it when I p/u my sammich; Went to p/u sammich and there was no change. When I asked for it, the kid behind the counter said I got it when I paid. After talking to a pathetic manager, I got my change and left not to return for another year(at least). Sorry Jimmy but I am no John.

This location is very clean and has great customer service. I usually get a #1 Pepe with a lettuce wrap. It’s one of the few sandwich shops that I know of that will do that. I always visit whenever I can. Best sub shop, hands down!

I was on duty and wanted to order Jimmy John’s for dinner. I was working on Fort Sam Houston and called the Jimmy John’s on 4700 Broadway St. They told me that they do deliver, but not to Ft Sam. They didnt have a reason, but that they didnt do it. Another location on Austin HWy said its because that they are too far from the Base, but not the one on Broadway… What is their deal?

I know JJ’s is a chain, but this location is super FAST and always clean. Free tip: They hide their napkins behind the counter and for additional parking during the lunch rush park at McDonald’s. Also, have you ever tried, their«un-wich»? Its the sandwich without the bread, ask for your sandwich Un-wich style and save some calories!

I enjoy Jimmy Johns but sadly this location had some of the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I had not been to a JJ in about a year, since there was no location close to my current residence. I used to eat JJ fairly regularly, and as such I was excited to stop in for a late lunch at the Alamo Heights location when business took me close by. I ordered a #6 vegetarian and when I took my first bite I realized something was wrong. When I opened the sub up, there were NO sprouts(per the menu) and the tomatoes and cucumbers were the smallest(less than 2″ diameter) I have ever seen, with only 3 of each present. When I went to the counter and asked about the missing sprouts, the reply I received was«Where have YOU been, we don’t carry sprouts and we haven’t for a long time.» I wish I could convey the tone and look used by the employee(who I believe was ALSO the manager on shift based on her interactions with other employees — I wish I caught her name, she had short black hair and piercings) because it was the most rude, condescending manner I have experienced in a long time. When I pointed out(not yelling, and as politely as I could being so stunned by her response) that I would have appreciated being informed of this lack of sprouts, since every menu still listed sprouts and that it wasn’t covered over, I was sneered at and she walked away from the counter. I later found this article about how they stopped carrying the sprouts due to e. coli issues( ) but how hard is it to tape over to put up a sign in the stores? If you leave an item on the menu, people expect it. Also,“long time” when it was only a few months since an item was dropped is a bad description. I did not even attempt to ask for them to give me a few more tomatoes or cucumbers(seeing as veggies like that are free extras) since I didn’t expect a better response. On a veggie sub(I am not a vegetarian, mind you, I just really like this sub) I would expect to get a respectable amount of vegetables like I had received in the past. If a menu item is missing, especially a major component of a sub, I would think that a small sign could be taped up somewhere or that a little black electrical tape could remove the item from the menu. The really inexcusable part to me was the horrible treatment I received. To act like a customer(who isn’t a regular, especially) should magically know everything about stock and to be so condescending and then walk away from a question is inexcusable to me. I have NO intent of frequenting this location ever again and frankly, I intend to make no attempt to eat at any JJ if this is the quality of employee and product that is being carried there now since my year of not being able to eat there. I will give their corporate headquarters credit, when I emailed them about this episode I did receive a email response that they are supposedly addressing the issue and an apology. However, that and a «please try us again» isn’t enough to wipe this problem from my memory.

Oh happy day! I remember when I openly wept with joy the first time I saw a Jimmy Johns in Austin after eight years of living in Texas. And to find one right on Broadway! In general, Jimmy John’s is hands down the best sub shop on the face of the earth. Don’t treat it like Subway of Blimpie… study the menu, look at the menu, learn to love the menu! It’s there for a reason. They tailor their ingredients towards those choices, not like a free for all open deli. So your precious little snowflake version of a sandwich may not be as good as you want it because Jimmy John just flat out doesn’t care about your sandwich. He cares about his sandwiches, sizzlechest. This location is better than the other two I have been to in Texas, probably because of the locaion(proximity to a college, a lunch rush, etc). They have the drill down. You step up, you order, in out hello goodby so fast you’ll freak.

Everyone raves about this place but people — it’s a cold cut sandwhich AND that’s all they have to choose from. The bread isn’t out of the world either, I mean I don’t know what world you live in if you think that. The sandwhiches are okay… the fact that they stuff them beyond full is good… and their clever in-store signage is great. The parking on the other hand is RIDICULOUS! I know they can’t help it but it gives me a headache everytime I eat there. Had the Tuna Club today… and I’m not sure the tuna was fresh… which is utterly disgusting. I have had luck with the turkey sandwhich though and will most definitely be resorting back to it. The choclate chip cookie was nice and soft though!

Oh Jimmy John’s how I love thee. Let me count the ways: 1. Your bread. Your damn bread. So good… so fresh. You compliment every part of the whole sandwich. 2. Your Beach Club with your turkey, sprouts and avocado. You totally go against my whole belief that anything even remotely sounding ‘healthy’ tastes yucky. 3. Your Gargantuan — after having you — there’s nothing left to be desired. You’re so huge… so monstrous… that I can happily share you with a friend, a co-worker or a family member. 4. Your chips. Especially your Salt ‘n Vinegar. Entering my pie hole one chip at a time… leaving my lips pursed from your sour-y and salty goodness. 5. Your delivery. Where I can eagerly order from your menu from home and await to have it delivered at my doorstep. Oh, JJ, how I love thee…
