These are the best sandwiches without a doubt my wife and I always treat ourselves on the weekend after a 3 mile walk off the trail.

With so many choices out there to choose from, one of the areas where eateries can stand out is the service they provide to customers. This Jimmy John’s location is certainly lacking in that category. To begin with, I received no proper greeting, as a matter of fact, I was looked at as if I were lost or in the wrong place. There was a family a few seconds behind me, and they received a heroes welcome as they walked in… Second, when I placed my call in order, I requested no tomatoes and spinach instead of lettuce. The person taking the order never mentioned that they do not serve spinach. After I picked up my sandwich, I had to return to ask about the spinach. The person in charge just looked up from the back where he was at, and saw me at the counter, but didn’t even bother to ask if there was a problem. Only after I was engaged in a conversation about the spinach, did he bother to come over and ask the employee about the issue. Since there was no spinach, I requested the lettuce I canceled earlier. He stated that they«don’t give away any freebies». Really? It was on the sandwich earlier. As I explained to him, had I known they did not serve spinach, I would not have cancelled it. Needless to say, this Popeye will not be returning here again.

They delivered to me even though I wasn’t in their area :))). Food is delicious also. Five stars!

I have been here twice in the last two months and it will be my last. My husband orders from this location online and thought I would like to give it a try. They made my sandwich(Big John with peppers) wrong but his(create your own) was perfect, I assumed it was just a simple mistake. The second time I ordered a sandwich, he placed his online to-go order separately and when I went to pick up our sandwiches mine again was wrong! I don’t know if a disgruntled customer shares my initials and has given them issues, or if its simply too hard to read the order?

Not bad. It’s a typical JJs. Nice and clean. Sandwiches come out fast. The staff is all smiles.

I work nearby, and my coworkers and I order from here often. As for the timing, they are true to their slogan: Delivery is almost always freaky fast! Order accuracy is the one place where they could use some improvement, and the thing keeping them from getting 5 stars out of me. Since my colleagues and I always place our orders online, it’s not like something could get lost in translation. But low and behold, there is usually at least one mistake with our order when it arrives. For example, I ordered extra italian dressing on my sub today, and instead, they didn’t put any at all. That was disappointing. Bottom line: Nice people, fast service, just be sure to double check your order for correctness!

Although the recent construction causes a parking problem, it doesn’t take away the goodness that is Jimmy Johns. I was in and out quickly. In fact they were so freaky fast with the sandwich making I barely had time to put up my credit card when they reached over to hand me the sandwich. So fast my head was spinning. Lunch in 2 minutes is awesome.

Jimmy John’s is great for delivery. I’m a huge fan of the vegetarian(with bacon). I’m not thrilled that they no longer have sprouts, but it’s still pretty good. A bonus is that they are very very fast. i think our usual delivery time is under 20 minutes.

I really love Jimmy John’s. Okay, that’s a bit of an understatement… J’adore Jimmy John’s… so much so, in fact, that just thinking of it has me speaking in la langue d’amour. Sadly, I was disappointed by the service at this particular location. Not only did they get my order wrong, but the guy behind the counter just wasn’t very warm or personable. All-in-all, not the most positive JJ’s experience. I think I’ll stick to the Broadway location.

I like Jimmy John’s for a quick grab an go meal. The bread is absolutely wonderful. Nice and soft with good texture and flavor. The take this foundation and add fresh delicious ingredients. Definitely a good option when you wants something good and are in a rush.

A teeny tiny little location with very limited seating, especially for groups of more than two. But it’s the same great Jimmy John’s and in a good location. Bathrooms are waaaaaay in the back, just keep walking.

AMAZING sandwiches. Friend raved about this place so much. The bread is so soft and yummy. They also deliver! Next time I go I will post a picture. All the sandwiches are delicious! The staff was friendly too. It has become my top fave sandwich place! Not sure if they’re located anywhere else other than TX.

Soooooo delicious! I’d be crazy to eat at that other sub place. The bread was really good. The lettuce was really crispy and the cuts of deli meat were good. I can’t wait to order in with these guys!

Jimmy John’s is a good place to go if you want a reliably good sandwich. It’s definitely better than Subway, and their bread is hard to beat. Outside of that, the ingredients in their sandwiches are pretty standard(but the sandwiches have some creative names). The staff at this location are pretty friendly and their orders are out *QUICKLY*. Often times they hand me my sandwich as I’m dispensing my drink into the cup. The lunch crowd can get a little busy there and it’s sometimes difficult to find a seat. There are two or three tables outside with chairs as well.

As I took my first bite into that scrumptious, delectable and moist bread, I could only think of a deep seeded desire to want to swim in the stuff. Yes, the bread(I’m not even talk’en about the whole sandwich yet) is that good! I think in that moment of «joie de vivre» due to the bread, I accidentally drooled on my collar. No harm no foul and I guess you can take that as my compliments to the chef. But in any case, the bread is consistently constant in terms of great taste and well balanced flavors. But now for the sandwich part of the review… They have the basic staple of sandwiches and a few ones unique to «Jaime y Juan»(thought I’d give it a latin vibe being in San Antonio) which are pretty good. All the meats taste fresh and there isn’t that thin slimy film one meats that are a few days old, so that’s always good. The sizes are good and not over doing it if you get the 8 inch sandwiches. They are not a typical Texan restaurant where you pay $ 5.99 and get half a cow, no, not here, so don’t expect colossal or capacious portions of food. If you’re looking for a good sandwich shop this is the place to go. They are not over whelming like Quiznos(JJ’s will not make you feel disappointed in yourself for finishing one of thier products), and better tasting than Subway(if they were both side by side, I’m betting you would go to JJ’s). I’m giving it 5 stars because they do a very good job at what they do, which is to produce good tasting sandwiches. They are decently priced and great for what they are… a sandwich shop. Sure, there are better sandwiches out there like ones from Central Market or from a local deli, but price points are different and compete for different clientele, and are not just sandwich shops, which is what JJ’s is. I would not compare JJ’s to Central Market and vise-versa, so that’s why I give them 5 stars, they produce a good product that is superior than the competition. Just try it over one of the other sandwich shops, if you don’t start to believe you are in that happy/safe place in your life, then maybe you should try some mayo on it… mayo makes everything taste better.

I came here for lunch today and boy, am I glad I did! It was actually quite by accident that I happened to stop here. I was on my way to check out some other place on Austin Highway and couldn’t find it. Dying of starvation, I saw Jimmy John’s gleaming in the horizon… Okay, it wasn’t quite like that, but Jimmy John’s does have some damn good sandwiches. I ordered the Vito Italian sandwich on wheat with Jimmy John’s chips and a drink. Wow! The ingredients were all super fresh and the wheat bread was the best wheat bread I’ve ever had. My sandwich was done before I had even finished filling my drink at the drink station and the guys working were extremely polite and friendly. Not the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life, but I’m sure I’ll be back.

I have absolutely died and gone to sandwich heaven! I love Jimmy Johns and it always brings back fond memories of going to the Jimmy Johns in Austin, TX with my UT pals. You get a reasonably priced sandwich, with all kinds of combos of fixings… and it’s fresh! I think they even deliver from this location(but probably only to locations in close proximity). The people that work here are always in a good mood and pretty entertaining. Try it out… you won’t be sorry!
