Have mercy, I was so impressed with J Green Jewelers when I went in earlier today. My antique engagement ring cracked earlier in the week and by the time I got to J Green I was in tears. Mr. and Mrs. Green were so lovely and explained the process of repairing it, etc. I am so grateful for such wonderful people!

oh my goodness just the worst case of customer service ever. when the young lady behind the counter laughed at me and my future daughter in law, i knew i had to write a review. you just cannot treat people that way. not today. her engagment ring is under one year old… they designed and made for us. we have had so so so many problems with the setting and the stones and to date have been in the store four times to have repaired. the center stone is quite large so you can imagine having loose stones is something that is not desirable. they haven’t kept records on the ring and only show one visit. at this point we asked to just have the money that was made to make the ring and we would have the ring made at another shop in town. that’s when the girl laughed at loud at us… i was just in shock. then his son informed us there was nothing more that they would do other than tighten the stone again. he looked at the ring and said it had wear and tear. well, hello, you do wear your ring daily ya know??? i would really think about shopping around if you are planning on having anything made from green. we were promised the moon from jimmy green and yet he still doesn’t even recognize us when we come into the store. he can never recollect how many times we have been in to have the repairs. at the end, an older lady tried to help us but with there being no record on the ring we just decided to take our business elsewhere and cut our losses. shame shame shame on a business that operates this way in this day and age.

Beautiful jewelry that bests the sterile counters at department stores and other local shops. Custom work done here is expertly crafted and service is impeccable. There are many rare and unusual finds that you cannot get anywhere else. Occasionally, high profile designers have trunk shows– be sure to come and be wowed.

Good staff changed my watch battery today. Previously though I actually bought the watch from them. They gave me a good price and I can come any time for life to get service done on the watch and the batteries changed, no haggle or trouble at all.

I will never set foot into J Green Jewelers again. I came in for a repair, took them a week to get me an estimate. Every time I called to check on it an employee told me they were «busy», they «didn’t get around to it», «You’re not our only customer» and other stupid things you never tell a customer. Monica, the woman who initially helped me was friendly and so was the manager who called me back. Unfortunately everyone else I interacted with was rude and made me feel like my needs weren’t important. I think its excessive to hold onto someone’s wedding ring for over a week for an estimate. I was able to go to another jeweler in Stone Oak who was able to help me within ten minutes, made me feel special and will have it repaired in a couple days. What happened to good customer service? When I told the sales rep on the phone I was coming to pick up my ring he didn’t seem to care and when I came in the store to get it he told me «better keep it in the bag, your diamonds are all going to fall out». What a jerk. I had 3 stones come out of my wedding ring and needed them to be replaced. I was even thinking about having my entire ring redone there, but I will not allow a employee to disrespect me. I am so disappointed, especially when the other two people who helped me were so kind. They might need to do a little housecleaning when it comes to the employees.

I went into J Green today and Preston helped me quickly and was quite friendly and knowledgeable. I had a simple repair but J Green was attentive and great to work with. I will be coming back!

They were attentive, but gave me misinformation. I brought in a diamond wedding band with the intent to use the gold and diamonds in a new custom designed necklace. I was told the diamonds were cz’s, and my business was turned away. I went to another reputable jeweler a week later, and they verified they were CS1 diamonds (just dirty). I took my business elsewhere, and ended up with an amazing custom piece. I would shop around first!

Whenever I think of jewelry, I think of J Green. I sort of can’t help it. Their billboards and commercials are everywhere in San Antonio. While most other places don’t need any marketing, J Green certainly has reaped the benefits from this type of exposure.
Their place at The Vineyard is huge. The service is talented, smart, and very well mannered. There is no hassling or buggering. It is a place to roam, to dream, and to look at all the beautiful gems the world has to offer.
I had my medal from last year’s ½ marathon engraved here and it was seamless. I was happy with the service and the price.
I will certainly go back when my husband decides to let me pick something out.
