The best pizza in Texas! We had them cater our wedding in their 1940s fire truck fully equipped with brick oven and beer kegs. Needless to say, it was a crowd pleaser. The service at the restaurant and while catering was fast and genuinely friendly. Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in Texas for a great price.

Horrible customer service our clueless waiter(I would give his name but he never introduced himself) was so incompetent he made George Bush look intelligent. After waiting 15 minutes for our drinks from the bar we decided to order. How do you get off charging someone $ 25 for a pizza ?? Oh wait, you do, Frank and Lori. The pizza was abismal it tasted like cardboard and was as bad as it look. And lets talk about the crappy selection of live music, cats in heat wouldve sounded more pleasurable to listen to while we ate our extravagantly overpriced pie. Needless to say I will only return in a drunken stupor to take a long drawn out piss on that thing you call a «restaurant». Thank you for leading me to Dough the better pizza place in town.

Came to eat for my birthday. We used to love Fralo’s but today was not so good. We visit because of the atmosphere. The kids enjoy it. The pizza is ok. Disappointing service though. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and on the bottom was a hair. Our really nice waitress said she told management but he said that the cook was blonde and did not have dark hair, so he wasn’t taking the salad off of our ticket. I presume he was accusing us of putting the hair in our own salad because we have dark hair. I happen to find that ridiculous because we buy our wine at the restaurant unlike other patrons who bring in their wine. We order 2 – 3 pizzas during our visits because we have a large family. Why would we cheap out on 1 salad!!! I can tell you that as much as I used to enjoy this place and for as much as we have spent, we will no longer return to a restaurant that does not appreciate our business! So long Fralo’s!

Fralo’s is a great restaurant out in the Leon Springs area. Absolutely worth the drive when the wait isn’t super long. Has a beautiful outdoor patio. At night with the lights up makes for a great, relaxing atmosphere. Largely outdoor seating– Dog friendly! Live music! They also have some indoor seating and a bar area. That patio is a huge highlight of this place. It’s great for families, friends, dates. Their hand tossed pizza tastes super fresh and delicious. They also allow BYOB. When they get super busy, it can get really slow though. We waited over an hour for our food. The first time I’ve been we had a really good experience, but after this last time– honestly it’s not worth waiting over an hour in between appetizers and pizza with the cost that it is. I’d rate closer to 3.5 stars. Still a place to at least try once!

Great little pizza place, my first time trying this place out, relaxed environment, friendly staff. Loved the outdoor patio area, noticed they are pet friendly can’t wait to come back with my pup. I started off with the tomato basil Bruchetta, it was good, not great. The arancini was mediocre, not enough flavor. I also ordered the lorfa’s five with anchovies, loved it, the cheesy pizza with the salty anchovies was a great combo. Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for some good pizza maybe not so much the appetizers.

Very nice place to enjoy the outside and good live music. You can bring your own wine and for a $ 9.25 fee they will uncork it for you…

Wonderful evening under the Texas stars. Love the live music and the dog friendly acceptance from the staff! Pizza’s and pasta’s are always fantastic, just a great family experience.

Pizza was good, dough made from scratch. Had the bruschetta as an appetizer – pretty unique combination of flavors. Tortellini was just okay. Service was a little slow, they said it was due to a large delivery order they had earlier, so it pushed all the dining-in customers behind. :( Probably will not return any time soon…

It took us a long time to finally try this place even though we pass by all the time. It has a very casual and comfortable atmosphere with live music and outdoor seating. BYOB is definitely a plus but we ordered a pretty good bottle of Chardonnay off of the wine list for $ 22. We tried the Formaggio appetizer($ 8) on the waiter’s recommendation, which was wonderful. It came out sizzling hot and who doesn’t love hot goat cheese?! We also tried the Traditional($ 25) and Big Alan’s BBQ($ 24) pizzas. They were both delicious with crispy crust at the perfect thickness. I have no complaints here. This is definitely a enjoyable place to relax, socialize and eat good food. Get here early, it gets rather crowded after 7pm and people seem to linger at their tables.

I have never had issues before, but today was not Very pleasant. We sat at a table as instructed by someone, and then were asked to move because it was for a party. While I do understand that, we were then rudely and sarcastically told, «We do have a hostess here .» The manner in which we were told was belittling. After going to the hostess stand we were taken to a table, where no one waited on us, Finally, a waitress who wasn’t supposed to be our waitress took it upon herself to wait on us. Thank goodness for Mandy she has been awesome. The star is for her, if it wasn’t for her I would have given this review a 0! Thank you Mandy for taking care of a table that wasn’t yours and for being an awesome waitress.

A great place for superb pizza, craft beer, and local music. They have a nice covered outdoor patio/garden area. Their craft beer selection is most excellent, better than most places. Their pizza is awesome with lots of variety from the traditional. However, I was not at all a fan of their Arancini appetizer, it’s fried risotto ball. Fried rice-yes!!! But fried up rice-oh no! Weird texture and just bleah. Outside of that, Thayer salads were awesome and pizza craft beer and music, one great hangout!

Fralo’s is a cute little pizza joint up north on I-10. It’s actually closer to us than some of the stuff downtown, and it’s nice for a change of scenery. It’s pretty easy to get to, and there’s a big sign telling you where to go. Although we went on a chilly evening and Fralo’s had already put up their«tent» around the patio, I can see how this place would be a really awesome hang out for the nice nights in SA. The patio is large and has picnic style benches, and there were lots of families and people hanging out. They have a pretty good happy hour if I remember correctly, and a decent list of beers on tap. Of course, you should come here for the pizza. We tried the«pretzel coated mozzarella» which were your basic cheese sticks; I didn’t taste much pretzel. Nothing wrong with cheese sticks, but not great for a starter when your meal is PIZZA. I wish I would’ve tried a salad! The pizza was delicious, though. The sampler pizza is where it’s at because you get to try four different kinds of their specialty pizzas. We really liked the pizza with the potatoes on it(can’t remember what it’s called) and my husband liked the one with sausage. The pizza was not too thick, but had a good crust. Next time I’ll try a build your own, I think! We also tried the nutella dessert, which was pretty good. It was a bit dry for my liking, but they served it with a delicious almond-y(I think?) whipped cream that was just perfect. Overall, I think this is a solid pizza place and it’s got a great atmosphere. The pizzas are a bit pricey, but we also got to try a bunch of different toppings and styles, so it was worth the price.

Yummy pizza, relaxed environment, live music on a Saturday night. Enjoyed good service for a party of 15 which included 9 kids, until the place filled and we stop seen our waiter. You can even BYOB and pay a fee which is cheaper than purchasing there. The small bar inside is pretty cool too.

I’ll have to make a few more trips to make sure this place is consistent but after 1 visit I absolutely look forward to returning. We opted to sit inside(only 4 or 5 tables) only because there were too many Mosquitos out that particular night. I wish the live music would have been hooked up to the speakers inside, that would have been a nice touch because other than the kitchen, there’s no noise whatsoever which made for awkward times while we ate. We were surprised to find a quinoa crust offered however since its ordered out(not made in-house), we happen to get the last one and that made some other tables not too happy. At least we got to enjoy it! **I should have stated our server told us the quinoa crust was ordered out … I got a very polite update from a manager that the quinoa crust is actually homemade. Sweet!!** We ordered mozzarella sticks as a appetizer which were awesome. Not your standard sticks of hard cheese, they appeared to be homemade. We also got the pear and prosciutto pizza– oh my gosh! It wasn’t overly sweet and we didn’t feel gross afterwards, we actually took a few pieces home. The crust didn’t become soggy either which is fantastic. I’d love to come back during cooler temps and sit outside. Most of the tables are picnic tables which means no backs, I’ll have to suffer through that(bad back = needs real chairs, lol). You can bring your own alcohol, they have a small fee for that. Good beer options though at their bar.

Love the laid back ambiance of this restaurant. Doesn’t even feel like a pizza place. With the shaded patio and large fans that made it 10 degrees cooler, gave me a feel of southern California without the beach setting. The group playing outside, set the mood for a relaxing afternoon with a beer in my hand in good company. The salad we ordered was so deliciously citric with pecans accompanied by a flavorful raspberry dressing. The mediterranean pizza really was a real work of art with its delicious sweet sun-dried tomatoes and artichokes! Genius invention of fire truck(makes pizzas and serves beer)!!! The menu may be on the pricey side but the pizza is worth it. The location is a little out of my way but Fralo: I promise if you open another location more central… Ill be there faster than lightening! Lol.

Do you like pizza? Do you like sunshine and soothing guitar? Then Fralo’s is the place for you! The pizza here is amazing. I highly recommend the sampler. You get two large slices of four of their specialty pizzas. I think I’ve tried all their pizzas now, but I still get the sampler. Variety, it’s the spice of life. The atmosphere is equally wonderful. Even on August 3rd at 6:30 pm when it should be sweltering, the patio shade keeps you nice and cool. I’ve never sat indoors at Fralo’s. As the sun sets the lights come on, the live music continues and you can order another bottle of wine. It’s perfect.

What a great patio! Seriously one of THE best in and around SA. And… it’s really your only choice of seating at Fralos. I know what you’re thinking: I’m nuts cause it’s 100 degrees and August in freak’n South Texas! I was afraid of the same thing, and I was wrong. Roll up in there about 7−730pm and the patio is totally shaded already… and a nice breeze was blowing, even. Pass on the apps — the calamari, fried zucchini and arancini are not worth the calories or your money. The PIZZA though… mmm-tastic! I love a thin, crunchy crust and Fralos nailed it! They offer a combo pizza with a few slices of different types; genius! I literally tried about 7 different slices of pizza: all good, but a few stood out and I will return for: A bacon & potato slice on the combo pizza… oh em gee, it was divine! It’s kinda like an amazing breakfast taco in pizza form. The pear prosciutto Gorgonzola pizza: sweet and savory goodness! I also loved the way Fralos perfectly baked the cheese on each pizza… it was a bit crunchy near the crust and oozy, gooey everywhere else. Def worth a visit and I will be returning for the patio, pizza, and entertainment(yeah, on top of it all, there was a fantastic musical duo present as well)!

Fralo’s is one of those places that I look forward to once the Spring and Summer nights come rolling along. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still coming any month of the year for this damn pizza. My cravings won’t let me go too long without it. Anyways… sitting outside during the Texas heat with a hot, cheesy, gourmet pizza and an ice cold beer makes me smile. When I think of eating Fralo’s Pizza on their outside patio with live music it just screams a true hangout. Don’t get me wrong Fralo’s does have an indoor area but I’m just not one to sit inside when I can be eating with a view of the hill country. What makes this place great is the BYOB aspect they have. You can literally bring in your favorite specialty beers and wine and enjoy it with their amazing pizza. There is a small corking fee for wine but I can’t recall the actual amount, positive it was around $ 8 though. If you forget to bring your adult beverages Fralo’s has you covered with a wide variety of beers and wine. Now let us talk about their pizza, the main attraction of the show. This is some authentic brick oven pizza and one of my absolute favorite spots. It is worth the drive and you’ll be glad you came to this side of town. The Grant’s Pear is such a unique pizza and this was the first place were I truly enjoyed pear on my pizza. The sweetness of the pear really gives the pizza a fun twist and anything with extra olive oil makes me happy. Of course I have tried their Pepperoni, boring I know, and it is really awesome. I love adding garlic, vinegar, and olive oil to it to give it an extra kick. Mint’s are my best friend whenever I eat garlic, it is just too hard to not eat the kiss of death for vampires. Another favorite of mine is the Nutty chicken without the Nutty for me. That’s what happens when your body doesn’t let you eat certain nuts. I love this white chicken pizza and the spinach is actually baked within the pizza! I go crazy when pizza places serve spinach on top and it is not baked in. It has a nice pesto zest to it and you can always ask for any of the topping to not be included to build around your needs. During the weekends they feature a lot of live acts so you’re basically getting dinner and entertainment which I love. If you’re still reading this you need to get yourself to Fralo’s real quick and try it for yourself.
