Dave’s Frames & Gallery

We have had between thirty and forty paintings framed and matted by Dave and have always been extremely pleased with the work that he has done. He also did an excellent job in repairing a rip in a painting on canvas, including touching up the paint.

I chose this framer because I wanted to support local business, but I regret my decision this time around. I took 3 items to be framed and the cost was expensive, but the items were important to me, so I was willing to spend more money to make sure they were framed correctly. The gray-​haired man was scattered, but nice when I dropped off my items. He did not offer calls when the item was ready, but gave me a pickup time. I went by to pick them up several times, but they weren’t ready. Then, when they were finally ready, one of the frames was still not completed, so I picked up 2 of the 3 frames. When I got them home, they were incorrectly matted, even though I saw him write down the correct color combination when I originally ordered them. I had to drive all the way back to the store to have them redone, and he asked me if I thought that it looked better the incorrect way. He fixed the matting, but didn’t offer me any money back. Then, after they were finally done, I picked them up and hung them in my office only to discover that the frames are crooked, so it doesn’t look right. I’ve never had a picture frame be crooked before. I’m pretty upset as I’ve wasted my time and money for frames that look unprofessional. Save your money and go to Michael’s!
