The food is ok and the people are nice that being said i see why they have a 2 star average worth a wait time of just under 20 min for fast food not good

… I learned to avoid the drive thru and just walk in for quicker service. They don’t have the rule of pulling up and out for next customer. you will sit there and wait for someone’s order to be cooked before you get your ice cream…

Dairy Queen is scrumptious… try the peanut Buster Parfait had a great deal. Love this place been coming here for year.

Most Dairy Queen drive thrus usually take a long time but the wait on this trip was particularly longer. It took about 8 minutes to get to the intercom. We finally order and I ask for a medium strawberry cheesecake blizzard. She repeats it back wrong and I repeat my order again. Then some other guy comes in on the intercom and says that they can’t hear me. So I repeat my order again. He repeats it back wrong and I repeat my order a fourth time. He then follows up with, «yea that’s what I was saying» — when he clearly wasn’t understanding my order. At this point we pondered not even getting our ice cream because we wondered if it would be tampered with. We noticed the guy kept looking at us thru the window. We pulled up to the window about 10 minutes later and the girl has a smirk on her face. She handed us a cup that had ice cream melting over the rim of the cup. We also revived no napkin with this melting blizzard. I noticed She didn’t hand us a receipt either because I was wanting to call right afterwards. I am Hoping the owners of this location will address this situation with me as I will be asking to speak with someone more than the location manager. Needless to say, we decided not to eat the blizzard. $ 4.21 and 30 minutes of my life wasted. Probably won’t go back– thanks for ruining the DQ food experience. DQ food in general is good– but I’ll pass on the customer service for this location.

Came through the drive-​thru the other night very excited for the new Blizzard of the Month flavor (Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie) only to find that this location is still serving last month’s flavor. The new flavor was advertised as being available June 30 and we’re six days into July. If my friends have been able to purchase the new flavor at other locations, why is this one so far behind? It’s just bad business practice to advertise something that basic and not be prepared to serve it.
On top of that, my boyfriend ordered the Jalitos Ranch burger and the patty was about ¾ the size of the bun. Believe me, he’s not ordering the burger to enjoy the bun.
This was a really disappointing DQ experience. We are both life-​long fans of the «Texas stop sign» and this location is just not up to par.

My husband and I usually love DQ, however our last thee trips here have not been very good. Yesterday I specifically asked them to Two Step our Blizzards. My husbands blizzard was all ice cream at the bottom, and my banana split blizzard was mostly melted and the cup was all dirty with ice cream. I am very disappointed. We will not be returning. I expect more from a restaurant and way better customer service.

Things have been getting better. Service is getting better. I wonder if this location has a new manager.
I recommend the strawberry banana smoothie.

Poor customer service. Went through drive thru and no hello and no thank you just handed us the food and closed the window! I love DQ especially their ice cream, but with poor customer service I’m afraid I won’t be going back.

Found a hair in my order of white gravy! Plus, the employees look very dirty. Never again will I eat here

We were looking for ice cream late at night and had to settle for this particular location. We love Dairy Queen, but this location is a dump. The area is horrible. The drive-​thru speaker didn’t work and we couldn’t be understood. When we got to the window the nice employee told us that they didn’t have any dips for the cones besides chocolate. Really? I was looking forward to some butterscotch, cherry, anything other than chocolate… so standard and boring. I couldn’t be too surpised though. Step it up, Dairy Queen. So sad.

I love a Dairy Queen Blizzard but I hate that this location is the closest to Fort Sam Houston. I don’t like the area and the staff always looks like they would rather be anywhere else and could care less about their customers.
