I have lived nest to this taco gem for at least ten years. Unfortunately I just found out about it. Food tastes homemade and delicious. Such great service here!

This is a locally owned, neighborhood place with authentic Mexican food and the very nicest owner. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. My favorite day to go is Thursday, when Bean and Cheese Chalupas are one of the featured lunch specials. Popular on Saturday and Sunday mornings, you can get 2 breakfast tacos plus drink(coffee or tea) for the special price of $ 2.99 until 10:30. It’s located beside Billy Bob’s Beds at the intersection of Tezel Road and Silent Oaks.

First and foremost, the food is great! I had the puffy tacos and the tortilla was fried to perfection-crispy throughout and not soggy. All the vegetables were fresh and the rice and charro beans were extremely tasty! The owner, Patricia is kind and makes you feel at home!

Very good food. My huevos rancheros plate was very reasonably priced and the sauce was tasty. Beans had good flavor and idk what other people are saying about tortillas. I’m SA born and raised, I know tortillas and these were good, definitely not fake. Chips and salsa serves at table are good. Salsa isn’t terribly hot but very flavorful. My girlfriends puffy tacos were good too. Definitely coming back.

The owner is the sweetest and takes the time to greet each customer. Great home cooked Mexican food. Husband and I love their huevos rancheros and the chorizo a la Mexicana

Two stars because food and price is ok. –3stars because it should be against the law to serve fake tortillas(not hand made) at any texmex restaurant. I always judge a restaurant by the beans and the tortillas. They have good beans. Owner very nice but could b form of compensation for the poor service. Try to support the local businesses but…

Went twice. Both times I waited over 5 minutes for someone to wait on us but nobody showed up so we left without ever eating.

Updated and final review. Well, I came back for breakfast. It was Saturday morning about 10:30. Not too many people here. Service still seems to be a problem. I waited 5 – 7 min before someone finally came over to take my order. They had four people waiting on tables. One young girl was slowing walking around refilling coffee with a big smile on her face like she was in some kind of beauty contest. I almost finished my cup of coffee when I finally got my food about 15 min later. Really? For a plate of Huevos Rancheros. Then I couldn’t get no one to refill my coffee. I believe their problem is in the kitchen. They take too long to get the food out. The wait staff need to be retrained on being more prompt when it comes to waiting on customers. I gave them 2 stars because their food is somewhat good. But I’ve had better elsewhere. I won’t be coming back. P. S.: their tortillas are not that good. They taste like they’re machine made. Like Taco Cabana. And I never go there. But that’s another story.

Eh… that is all I really have to say. Nothing impressive or out of this world. It is in a strange location in that you don’t really notice it from the street. The décor is a bit confusing. Feels like maybe it was a BBQ place at one time. I might try it for breakfast because people seem to enjoy that but this will be pretty low on the list for dinner or lunch. I will say that our waitress was very friendly and did a good job.

Great place for Mexican food. Customer service is great, because the owner cares about every customer it may take a few minutes to checkout. However, if your a regular this is the kind of place that remembers you and takes care of you. Breakfast is delicious and very inexpensive. The Chaparrita Bowl, tortilla soup and Fideo Loco are always great. The salsa is spicy but so good. Leave room dessert, the flan cake and penguin cake are homemade and always satisfy a sweet tooth.

Giving this place a 4, mostly because of the great breakfast taco deals before 10:00 am. If you are ever the breakfast taco runner for your office this is a good place to get them. Great deal. Overall the basics are very good. ie… potato and egg, bacon and egg, chorizo, beans etc. Lunch is pretty good too, stick to traditional plates. Pros: Price, breakfast tacos, salsa, friendly owner Cons: drinks, guacamole(not real), could do better with the guacamole

Mine and my husband’s regular places. Food is alright there’s not much to it but it’s really close to where we live. Oh and the cheese is not the waxy oily type, lol, it’s the creamy type.

Definitely a hole-in-the-wall, «greasy spoon» type of joint. Went here for a team lunch as was told to order the puffy tacos. The wait was a bit long due to the size of our group, the chips were kind of stale, but the salsa was decent. Good: + inexpensive + friendly service Bad: — stale chips — slow food delivery — dated décor — mediocre food overall

I don’t live too close to this place, but it’s worth a little drive for the great food and service. I’m partial to her breakfast plates especially the breakfast enchiladas which are huevos ala mexicana in red tortillas, rolled up, topped with a ranchero sauce and smothered in cheese, comes with beans, potatoes and tortillas. Also excellent migas with the same sides. Dining companion likes choriquiles, which– you guessed it –combines chorizo with egg and chilaquiles. Her lunch/dinner plates are great as well and she has many variations on the enchiladas plus plates(2 enchiladas with your choice of taco, puffy taco, chalupa, etc-you get the idea). Even though you’ll be extremely full when finished get a piece of her homemade cake to enjoy later. The owner never met a stranger and she’ll greet you like family. They also do catering for weddings, parties and the like and she’ll make just about anything you can think up. They’ve relocated from the tiny strip center they were once in to a much larger space next to Billy Bob’s Beds. DONOT confuse this with the former location down the road.
