The picadillo plate is really yummy. Reminds me of my moms cookin. They have really good sweet tea also. I also recommended the carne guisada. The barbacoa tacos r pretty tasty too. I frequent this place cuz of the yummy food.

This restaurant is near my office, but I’ve never been there so thought I would give it a try. I went for a late lunch(1:15) and ordered the picadillo plate, which was on special for $ 6.99 including tea. The price on the menu was $ 6.49 and I ordered water. The waitress was fine and the food was actually pretty good. When I checked out, the owner rang it up at the $ 6.99 and I told her that I didn’t have the special with the tea, rather I ordered the lunch plate off the menu at $ 6.49. She looked at the menu, crossed out the price and told me they had changed their prices and it was going to be $ 6.99. It’s not the extra $.50 that bothered me, it was her rudeness and her attitude. Whatever happened to «the customer is always right»? And in this case, I was. I will not go back.

Should have gone to Taco Garage across the street. Extremely dissapointed. Slow service. Coffee tasted like dishwater. Barbacoa was dry & tasted off. Bad bad bad.

I can only speak of their breakfast but to which I have been 3 – 4 times which is sufficient for me to feel confident drafting a negative review. The owner or manager seems to operate on that principal, «if I wake up & feel like opening, I will». I have often walked by on various days with no consistency on open hours. The staff is nice but they charge for to go orders & there is minimum charge of $ 5 for credit cards. My problems with the breakfasts there is the egg is cooked at a lower temperature than I feel comfortable eating. For me what separates a quality breakfast taco from the rest is tortilla, salsa & egg/add on ratio. The tortillas are ok but not very flavorful & doesn’t come out piping hot. The salas feels like it’s watered down but retains a good heat level. The greater crime is the ratio problem; all my tacos, on all my visits have a low potato to egg ratio. I think in my last taco there was 4 pieces of small potato which was not seasoned. I would skip this place for breakfast.

Went for lunch and ordered the mexican plate. 2 cheese enchiladas, beef taco and rice and beans. The meat was not that flavorful, the cheese is real stringy, tea is sweet though. Price about 5.99 we/o the drink. all in all it is okay for a quick bite if you want something different.
