Blo Blow Dry Bar

I decided to go to an event very last minute and made a same day appt since my hair dresser was completely booked. I walked in to this blow dry bar expecting an amazing blow out, I mean who wouldn’t? I was disappointed when my hair dresser started using a curling iron on my hair. My hair looked ok, but definitely not the smooth finish I’m used to when I’ve gotten a blow out before. It didn’t even last 2 hours, my hair fell so limp and lost all volume. I ended up having to put it half up, safe to say I don’t think i will be going back.

I had a formal event and wanted a partial up-​do. I liked the guy who worked on my hair, but sadly, my hair didn’t even last two hours. I had to redo the entire thing myself right before leaving for my event. So disappointing.

Not impressed at all, actually disappointed I wasted $ 50 bucks. Wash was horrible. Had to be washed again by manager. The products they use are super cheap and bad. My hair was so knotted and dry! Blow dry was not good either, she didn’t use a round brush which is a must on my hair so it ended up being frizzy. I asked for tight barrel curls which I did not receive. I Reminded her again so she did about 3 and went back to her crappy way. It was a waste of time, energy and money. Will not go back or recommend to anyone. I’ll stick to my people at La Cantera.

I just had the positively worst experience. Francis should not be doing hair. I have naturally straight hair, I explained I wanted a volume blow out with curls. She blow dried (barely and ran her fingers through my hair for one hour) it seriously looked like my hair air dried, straight flat. This would have taken me 5 minutes at home to achieve this look not ONE hour. She then got my hair STUCK in the dryer and proceeded to TEAR it out. I asked her politely to please cut it out instead of ripping my hair. Another girl at this point had to jump in and help curl my hair. She did a great job on one side of my head. Francis was slow and it looked like a 6 year old curled my hair. $ 40 down the drain. 90 minutes of sloppy, boring work. Worst blow out I’ve ever had. Thanks, guys.

I hate hate hate styling my own hair, but it’s a must because blonde hair cannot be wash and go. I’m also fiercely loyal to my hair stylist and will only let one person color my hair. I love this place because they ONLY style and don’t pressure you to change the cut or color.
You can book online, you’re offered wine, bubbles, or water when you walk in. They let you choose from a menu of styles that are also able to be altered slightly, or you can choose your own style all your own, at a higher cost, I believe. They also offer membership programs, either an auto-​draft style, or a prepay, so you can get your blowouts done at a discount. The stylists are all so friendly and bubbly that you’ll love getting your hair done there!

Got a great deal on a groupon and thought I would try this place out. It’s nice and clean inside, and they offer you water or wine when you check in. I got a nice finished style for $ 25 bucks! My hair looks fab!

Loved this place ! They do a great job, it’s very clean and welcoming. There are different styles to puck from and they also do parties. Complementary champagne or drink while they style your hair is also a nice touch. I will definitely be back soon.

I’ve been here several times and have been super happy with my hair each time! There is a menu of styles to choose from, but the stylists are happy to talk with you and tweak their menu to suit what you are looking for. I’ve had just the regular blow out but with some teasing on top for volume, the Hollywood curls, and the Bed Head messy curls. I have thick hair that holds on to a blow out, so they’ve all lasted days and days for me (dry shampoo is a miracle).
Also, I love booking on the app. It makes it so simple.

Hard to find it’s at the Corner of Broadway and Basse next to Torchy Tacos, same shopping center as an HEB. The staff is really cool, told me about Groupon deal, no pressure sales to sale you on high price deal. Took the wife here for her birthday. No hair cuts just a was and blow dry. This is big in LA and NY, the wife loved it. Very cool

Tried this due to Groupon and wasn’t crazy impressed. It was worth the discount price but I wouldn’t go back and pay $ 40. The stylist I had was great and my hair looked nice. It didn’t look much different than when I do it myself and the owner was really rude both when checked in and when I paid.

Sometimes a girl just wants to get her hair done and not commit to a cut. This place has got you covered. Blow Dry Bar makes it so simple to book an appointment. I just went online the night before and clicked on the time I wanted to reserve. This is so much easier for busy schedules, no more committing two weeks in advance to some appointment I never know if I’m going to be able to keep.
Upon arrival they give you a menu of around six different hairstyles, so they have an idea of what you are going for. The «pillow talk» style I got was so pretty and with a little dry shampoo I squeezed around three days out of it.
For an event they also have a menu for «updos,» but this ain’t your grannies French twist. I kept eyeing the fishtail braid it looked so pretty in the pictures.
For a blow dry and style it’s $ 40, and I think the updos are a different price. All of the styling products smelled great and Angel was super friendly.
They offer you alcoholic beverages, but also have hot tea and water so overall it’s just a really relaxing experience.

I loved it! I came here for my bday to get purrrdy, and I left feeling freakin faaaabulous! The scalp massage was like heaven, and the products felt great in my hair!

This place is great. I rarely treat myself to anything girly, but I was visiting San Antonio with my fiancé and decided to check Groupon. Bought one for Blo and went during my fiancé’s interview. Relatively easy to find. I had mentioned both while making the appointment and when I got there that I had a Groupon, and I was prepared to be treated poorly. It happens sometimes with Groupon purchases — they don’t give you the best service because they assume you’re just a one-​time customer. No one there seemed to care! They treated me like a goddess, talked to me about the area, and I ended up looking great. If you can get Veronica or Vanessa, you’ll walk away happy.

I love this place! Went for the first time yesterday to get my hair done for a holiday party. The interior is amazing and the staff is really nice. As I was waiting, I was offered a glass of champagne or wine. I like that the cost includes the option to get your hair curled, straightened etc.
The experience was great and I will definitely be back.

What a fun experience! I came to blo because I was driving by and noticed it was open. My hair looks great and it was so much fun! Cute place and very nice people! I will definitely come often!
