Huge salads, fresh burgers and excellent ice tea. A great place for children because it has a decent kids menu and a fenced in yard for them to play.

A colleague and I journeyed here for a dinner meeting last night. His choice, not mine. Kinda knew what we might be getting into, but I indulged him. Burgers were slightly above average, ever so. The condiment section is built for one person at a time. No small plastic cups to take your stuff with ya to your table, so you put the finishing touches on your burger right there. It’s a bottleneck. Several orders were ready at the same time, and then there was a line to get to the mustard and ketchup. And our burgers cooled off while standing there. Really? How hard is it to provide those little cups? And this place is geared for families and kids. Nothing wrong with that though, but not a good place for 2 adults to have a serious conversation. Lastly, they need to butter and toast both sides of the bun, too. That would elevate the product a little. Glad I went, but I’m headed back to my old greasy spoon place I think. Scott H.

Bigz has been a favorite of my husbands for probably 8 years(if not more). He loves their burgers with bacon and egg to make it taste like a breakfast burger. I’m a fan of the regular cheese burger cooked medium well. They are incredibly consistent with their food. The burgers are always deliciously juicy and huge and the fries are crisp. The order of fries is huge. We normally share one regular French frie between the two of us. If you come on the weekend be ready to spend a little more time waiting for a parking spot.

WHATTOORDER: Try the different fry sauces!!! So do you want a good burger with a great atmosphere to come chill with family and friends? BIGZ is the place yall! ATMOSPHERE: Honestly great for a chill gathering between family and friends and to throw birthday parties. There’s plenty of tables inside and outside on a patio that overlooks this great backyard area where kids can run around and play! PRICE: At first glance at the menu, you think the burger is pretty cheap($ 5.99 for a single and $ 9.99 for a double) but when you start adding all of the ingredients — the burger can end up being your typical gourmet burger around $ 10 depending on what you add. I will have to say adding the Avocado for $ 0.99 is pretty worth it since it’s so hard to find cheap avocado to add to anything nowadays! And they give plenty! FOOD: So first of all, all of the burgers served contain 100% angus beef with lettuce and tomato and then you can add any of the following for specific price for each: provolone and bleu cheese, applewood smoked bacon, beer braised onions, avocado, coleslaw, jalapenos, and pineapple. It was overall a decent burger — the meat was juicy and the whole burger wasn’t overall too oily. The avocado was also plenty so pluses for that! BUTTHEFRIES! I think that’s what I love this place for — not that the fries itself are extraordinary — I think they’re typical good standard fries — crispy with a good amount of potato(also sweet potato available yay!), but the FRYSAUCES are incredible — they have so many combinations here(over 10!) — I tried the chili garlic ketchup, truffled mayo, and cilantro lime mayo — all very interesting but good options.

Usually«kid friendly» places are lacking in cleanliness, food quality and competent staff. Bigz is top notch across the board. I must admit, it was the kid friendly aspect that brought us in but the food exceeded our expectations. Maybe it had something to do with us literally being the first customers through the door but we were certainly impressed with the deliciousness of our Chalupa Burger, onion rings and fries. The onions were cut thick and not thin and stringily like most places. Play area is huge and great for kids to expend energy before sitting down to eat. We’ll be back.

My wife and I have been here before and enjoyed our meal. The food is a bit pricey but overall not bad. Last night we took our three adult kids for a birthday dinner for two of them. The total which I picked up was over $ 80.00. I ordered the #2 combo. Everyone was having a great time but half way through my burger, I bit into something that seemed chewy. I extracted it carefully and found that it was one of those paper cups that are provided for mayo, mustard or ketchup. Everyone agreed that I should bring this to the attention of the manager. When I went to the counter and asked for the manager, I was directed towards a gentleman(term used loosely) in a red t-shirt who seemed to be in charge. When I informed him of the object I had bitten into and told him it looked like a paper condiment cup, his reaction was in NO way apologetic. In front of all the other customers waiting in line to order, he proceeded to accuse me of placing it in my burger myself ! I was and still am totally offended by his comments. I am a federal employee and earn a very good wage. A free burger was NOT my mission !!! I would have been satisfied with an apology. He was in no way apologetic. He was very rude and confrontational. He asked to see my receipt and after I gave it to him he did not return it to me. He then asked me in an aggressive voice«What do you want? A refund or another burger ?». At this point I requested another burger to go as everyone in our group was probably done with their meals. His last parting dig to me as he took my tray with the burger on it was«Half eaten… NICE ! «When I returned to the table, everyone was shocked to hear about what had happened. My son went to the counter and asked for a corporate phone number and was told that there wasn’t one and if he wanted to speak with someone, he could speak to the owners son. The MORON in the RED T-SHIRT ! Any further attempts at communication with this idiot would have been pointless. So I took the burger to go and promptly deposited it in the trash as not to run the risk of anything that may have been purposely inserted into it. We ‘ve all heard those stories. Needless to say, we will NOT return to this establishment and everyone I know will be hearing of the unprofessionalism displayed towards myself and my family.

Great place, we’ll definitely be back. Big juicy burgers, good fries. They have 10 kinds of fry sauce in imaginative flavors. They even have a big fenced astroturf yard for kids to run amok on. All for a very reasonable price. Only downside is its location is not really convenient to us.

Good angus burgers cooked to your choice of done. Fries are ok, just fries. Onion rings are hand battered and not the frozen kind, tasty. This place gets crazy busy and is great for families. Lots of room for the kids to run. Parking is a PITB when they get busy. You may have to park on the LP1604 frontage road.

You walk in, order, find a seat, & wait for your name to be announced to go pick up your food. Burgers come with lettuce, tomato, & pickles. All other toppings cost extra. A combo adds fries & a drink. Kids meals can have carrot sticks substituted for fries. Expect to pay, at least, $ 10 per person. The burgers are large & made to order, but I still feel they are a bit over priced considering where they have cut corners by having no waitstaff, using styrofoam cups, using rolls of brown paper towels(think public restroom) at the tables in place of napkins, etc. The back patio was heated on the chilly day we visited. That was nice. It’s tasty and not a bad place, but I feel it’s pricey for what you get.

I went in with a group for late lunch. The burger was okay but the bread was cold & lackluster. They forgot the fries on a burger combo. I went back to ask for missing fries, the same guy that the took our order wanted to charge me again! I reminded that they did not include them and he questioned his expo employee in front of me. It insulting the way he treated his employee and his need to validate my statement. I will pass on spending my money here again!

Pretty cool burger joint. I like the family vibe it had. Theres a huge«backyard» for kids to play while you eat. The wait time was about 20 mins but it went pretty fast. The food– i ordered my burger medium and got it well done. So my burger was pretty dry. Couldn’t enjoy it to its fullest. But i think taste wise, not too shaby. Ill go back and try it again.

Big’z is a burger chain in Texas. They are pricey once you start adding on all the extras to the sandwich, like cheese and bacon, etc. They had large tubs with beer and alcoholic drinks, and a few specialty soda/drinks, for you to grab as you go to the register. For the nephew and I, I spent almost $ 40 with fries and soft drinks. The nephew did order a double burger which is a full pound of beef. There was a guy that was walking around rearranging tables or what not, he was kind of creepy. Reminded me of the guy in most tv shows or movies, that walks around not really doing anything, but he was bossing other employees in the dining area. so, I really don’t know if he was a boss or not. By the looks on the other employees faces, I would say know. I would go back next time I am in town. I just think that I need to warn people that it is not cheap.

I had noticed Bigz for a little while and it reminded me a bit of Mo Mak which is my son’s favorite place. I knew that one of these days we would have to give it a try. It was a very nice day out and he wanted to be able to play. The menu is burgers, sandwiches, salads and hot dogs, just like our other place with a back yard. Costwise it is a little more than Mo-Mak’s but not by much, the quality of food also seems a little better at Bigz, so you get what you pay for. It has a lovely backyard area which is great for running and ball playing’ yet it lacks any kind of playground equipment. That didn’t seem to slow my son down at all. He ran and played with the other kids out there and had a blast! We will definitely go back, there is much more on their menu that I’d like to try, and I know my little man is down.

Enough parking. Great place for families and children. Atmosphere was nice. There is outside and inside seating. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside. We ordered plain well-done cheese-less hamburgers. The boy got the double patties, and I had one patty. I added bacon and avocado in mine. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect initially. After having the first couple bites, the burger was pretty darn tasty! Filling too, but I could probably blame the sweet potato fries for that. The fries were also good. I’m not really a bread person, I try to do the low carb thing. I didn’t finish my bread. I was really full afterwards, didn’t feel like having dessert – I did notice that they sold brownies and cookies too! The burgers were good, but it seemed a little dry. I think people should have to at least try the burger out to really compare it to other burgers. This tastes more like a diner/bar and grill type of burger, which I rarely order at other restaurants. I would go back again, but will probably order something else instead.

Okay okay. So I can not compare this place to a good burger place because sadly places like this just don’t stand up. So what I will do is compare this a Fuddruckers and burger places like that. So similar to Fuddruckers this place offers options to have your burger prepared. Why? I don’t know. I ordered medium. Came out like a hockey puck. G/f ordered rare. Once again hockey puck. Now even though the burgers weren’t prepared according to order. The pattys are pre-pressed seemingly Frozen pattys just hucked onto the grill and thrown on to the bun. The bun is probably the best part of the burger alone. It was soft yet firm enough to stay together without getting too soggy. Overall this is certainly not a great burger definitely does NOT deserve a 4 star average. Especially when it was $ 24 for two burgers fries and drinks. Sodas. Not milkshakes. Since I know how a good burger is supposed to be made you can’t expect much from a place like this. If you want best bang for your buck just go to 5 Guys. Better value and quality. Plus they don’t Nickel and dime you for any add options like onions or pickles.

Whoever thought of this concept needs to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Eat burgers, let your kid run around worry free on a soccer field. I was floored by how spot on this was for my life! I need more places like this! Kid friendly, good eats, and great shakes! It was mommy heaven, seriously! I heard on a weekend/night, you might want to put your kid on a neon shirt, because it gets pretty packed, but for me on a weekday just hanging with mom friends, it was legit! Kid didn’t feel bogged down and I didn’t care that he –ning(that was Forest Gump… did you catch that?) Another thing that needs to be in DFW, bc for real, I’d be there alllll the time! You get my vote Big’z…you done well!

Numerous parties going on and they ran out of ice. Yes warm drinks not good on a warm day. Then microphone system went down. Burger was not fully cooked. Kids liked play area with soccer game going on plus bubbles and hide and go seek. Beach balls and throwing football. Fries were perfectly cooked and kids liked the hot dog and grill cheese.

Hamburger joint/hang out! Here for the softball team end of year party… So it’s a good place to gather for groups. Big, grassy lawn area used for kids playground. Tons of kids running with soccer and footballs. Can get chaotic! Food is mainly hamburgers but they also have hotdogs, salads, and an adult ghost pepper grilled cheese. Numerous beers to choose from and wine. Good, carefree family hangout

Stopped by here with some family on a Tuesday afternoon. Got some burgers and fries. Legit burgers, very filling!(Just got the singles) Also got some sweet potato fries that were pretty standard. Nothing spectacular overall. Accept cash/credit. Decent parking lot space. Great place for families/kids especially. In general, highly recommend coming here. Very chill, low key, casual dining.

This was my first time visiting Big’z. I was invited to partake in an event that involved drinking beer, eating burgers, and watching football. Just so happens these are three things that I’m a Big’z fan of hehe I really like that this place is geared towards families. With a big yard for kids to play in, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen so many youngins running around without shoes. Seeing all the kiddos running around with parents nearby visiting it certainly gave that community feel to the place. It seemed as if everyone brought their own outdoor toys and games. I liked that Big’z offered either indoor or outdoor seating, and a lot of it. Now onto the food and beverages. Both were very tasty in my book and hit the spot! I ordered the chicken sammie and it was tender and juicy. Though I was full afterward I wanted more :-) The fries were crispy the way I like. And the beers were cold and yummy going down. As for the customer service side the young guys working the bar were very friendly and quick to refill empty glasses. They were on the ball hehe For my first visit I am a fan and look forward to visiting again!

Wow. What a drop in service and food quality. If I could give them zero stars — I would. First we were at a catered event in the Barn. Very nice inside/outside venue — very Texas. The set up was poor as they had the salad bar right on the bar so when the burgers were ready, there were people stuck behind the people getting salads. Ok no big deal. When the burgers finally started to come out– what a disappointment. First their buns Were different then the ones served at the restaurant or maybe because you got a cold bun and Luke warm meat patty it tasted different. Again the toppings are right along the bar so that delays the line quite a bit. My beef(no pun intended) was with the drinks/bar service. First they say that they have Pinot Grigio — but I had the Chardonnay. Then next time my husband goes back they say the don’t have the Grigio. I go back and ask and they say yes we do but we have to get it from the main hall. Okay– then go get it. Yeah they say, keep an eye on that guy cause he’s the one that’s gonna get the wine– whut? Finally my husband goes to the main restaurant to get it. Bad service. Worst service was yet to come– we are paying out and I notice that the over charged us for some extra beers. My hubby was not happy. The guy apologizes gives me both receipts neither receipt shows a credit/refund so now I have to monitor my bank account. This morning I realized that they still overcharged us for 2 additional beers. That’s my experience and because of it, I won’t be coming back. Such a shame because it was getting to be my go-to burger place. Time to start look for a new one. :(
