Good burger. Price was ok. Fries were meh although I liked whatever they seasoned them with.

This is my first visit to this location and we weren’t disappointed. The size of the burgers are perfect and the flavor was great. The staff from the bar, register and wait staff were very helpful. They have a gated play area for kids and a great patio for food and drink. We’ll definitely be back.

Took my family there last night. My wife and two kids who ordered burgers thought they were really good. I was surprised that the grilled chicken salad was very good. They had Alamo Pale on draft and everyone left full and happy. The prices were reasonable.

I got to experience the awesomeness that is Big Bob’s Burgers when visiting friends in San Antonio this week. My friends had really hyped it up so I had high expectations going in… and it was even better than expected! I got the 50 – 50 burger with guacamole and it was incredibly delicious and full of flavor! Plus there was an awesome bar for adults and ice cream for kids! We also had the pleasure of meeting Big Bob himself and Cynthia who are wonderful, caring, generous people! I for sure plan to return on future trips!

What’s not to love about BIGBOBSBURGERS1604? Big juicy burgers and crispy tater tots, crunchy onion rings, or frankly delicious fries are must haves when you need your fix of flavor. Big Bob seems to always be here giving your and your food attention. We’ve been big fans of big Bob since he started with his first burger joint and followed him to his Hildebrand location. So glad he came north to my neck of the woods. Did I mention he handmakes outrageously yummy veggie burgers? If you’re not in the mood for burgers, try nachos, quesadillas, and the field green salad with grilled chicken – they will surely satisfy your palate. Great food will get you here but you’ll stay for Live music.

Great burgers at a great price and some pretty darn good onion rings too! Plus they have an outdoor area for kids to play sports, volley ball net, sand box, and a small playscape. The only things holding me back from five stars: The small playscape is pretty sad and beat up(some would consider it dangerous with broken plastic) it really needs a replacement or some serious love in renovation.

Great burgers at a great price. I had the regular cheeseburger with fries and thought it was awesome. They also have a 50⁄50 burger which is half ground beef and half ground bacon. One of my co workers had a DOUBLE50⁄50 with an egg on top and he raved about it. I also tried the onion rings and I think I will get those instead of fries next time — they were excellent.

Bob has a 3rd location now and this one has a full bar! Same great burgers, same great people, just add in some phenomenal frozen margarita’s or some bourbon. Don’t worry beer fans, he still has the 80+ bottles and 5 taps too. Live music on the weekends, drink specials during Spurs(or any sports) games and on Monday nights just because it’s Monday and you deserve an inexpensive drink on a Monday. If you don’t already know about the 50⁄50 well, you are missing out on something truly special. 50% ground beef and 50% ground bacon, yes, ground bacon. Be warned, it comes out a little pink, it isn’t undercooked it’s just the ground bacon that keeps it that color. Ok, now I’m hungry. Gotta cut this one short and go get a 50⁄50.

Wow ! This place is BAD I won’t be returning at all the staff there was rude and not helpful at all even the manager was very rude. other than our little team party there was no one there, mostly all there staff was outside in the patio area just talking, they took A LONG time just to bring our food out, plus the bartender was no where to be found so one of the other staff members was just trying to make drinks and over charging us at the same time.

Overrated: good but not great. They’re known for their 50⁄50 burger, and I somehow came on a week where it’s substituted with a 50÷50÷50 option– in addition to the usual beef and bacon, this one incorporates pulled pork, of which I’m not typically a fan. As my mom put it, «it’s a great homemade burger!» Flavorful patty was cooked to the right temperature, cheese was quality, portion was large. For a $ 10 burger though, it lacked a wow factor. Maybe a sauce of some sort would liven things up. I will note that the burger wasn’t as greasy as the description would imply. Service was basic. They offer HH with beers and margs. Counter at the back has ice cream and shakes. Family-style atmosphere with volleyball courts out front and patio seating. This chain seems to have a trend of selecting poorly-trafficked locations, they would likely thrive in a more popular plaza, but for now their weekend dinner rush consists of three tables. Management note: I really dug the Restaurant Week menu(a trio of specialty sliders) but wasn’t able to make the date. Consider making that a regular menu item, as it allows visitors to try(what should be) your best products and return for more.

Decided to give it a try after passing by many times. Horrible choice! Everything was so incredibly greasy and definitely not worth the $ 30 I paid for 2 burgers, 1 fry, 1 onion rings and 2 drinks. We tried the 50⁄50 burger and it was very pink. The waitress/hostess/order taker said that’s how it was supposed to be. She was also very annoying. She kept coming to my table and wouldn’t leave us alone to eat. She insisted we try the«bobs sauce» and said she would leave until we did. Then she stood there. After we finally left 15 minutes later I was sick to my stomach. Well never eat here again. Save your money and go some place else.

A friend and i were here after a hike on Saturday around 1PM, the place was mostly empty. There are plenty parking space since it is in a strip mall. I think they have a outside areas for kids to play as well. I got the Big Filthy, it is a decent burger, I’m not a big fan of beans, it kind distracted the taste away from the patty. The onion rings are very tasty, even without the dipping sauce. They have limited craft beer selection. My only suggestion(according to my friend) is that they need to display the ingredients next to the items on the menu, if I knew Big Filthy had beans in it, I probably wouldn’t ordered it. Not a deal breakers though.

Although a vegetarian reviewing a burger joint might seem a little strange, Big Bob’s doesn’t forget about us herbivores and offers a delicious veggie burger. Thank you Big Bob’s! And of course, this is not just a frozen veggie patty. This burger was filled with lentils and other delicious things that I can’t remember(probably because I had already been drinking at the super fun Unilocal Elite event). The point is, the patty was hearty and flavorful and definitely delicious. It was also huge! In addition to the awesome veggie burger, Big Bob’s also offers lots of beers on tap! They also have a lovely outside patio along with a fun kid’s play area. I’m a fan, and I will be back.

Big Bob nails it! These are some incredible burgers. The 5050 Burger? Intense. Huge. Bacon. It’s half bacon. There’s nothing 50⁄50 about it. It’s 100% kick ass. Big Bob has some serious ‘chops’ when it comes to cooking. He knows his stuff. He’s a CIA graduate, with a few other locations open. These are serious burgers. The toppings are fresh, freshly cut, and generous. He doesn’t short change on the toppings. There’s a great beer selection! He’s got a bunch of local beers and high end craft beers. The staff is friendly and helpful. I really appreciate the bar tenders, and how great they work together. There’s a few televisions inside, and a giant play area out in the front. They have a variety of games to play, and you can just let the kids run free! You’ve gotta check this place out. Some of the best burgers in town.

The fact they use sesame seed buns is awesome! Not many burger joints do anymore. The burgers alone are pretty big but the flavor was lacking a bit. I had the guacamole burger and my husband had the bacon cheese burger. We also got fries and onion rings. The onion rings were overly battered and the fries looked like they were soaked in grease and really salty. Maybe we went on an off day. I’ll be will to give them another chance. They do offer beer and liquor beverages if you want over soda or tea. Give them a try! They also have a play area for the kiddos!

I finally gave in to all the hype about this place on Unilocal/fb and decided to give this place a try. We made it here around 915p on a Sunday night. It was quite slow with just a couple of tables still finishing their meals. It was also good to run into a few familiar faces from my neighborhood watering hole. We ordered a guacamole burger, a cheeseburger with half and half of fries and onion rings. Let me just say that the onion rings were amazing. They use the same batter as chicken fried steak and they were yummy! The fries on the other hand a bit soggy and soft. Also no seasoning didn’t help. It was easily corrected with some salt, pepper and their homemade ranch. The burgers were both great. Cooked perfectly to a medium with some pink. We were both full but couldn’t stop eating our meal. The only slight con is the meat to bread ratio. To me it was a bit off with smaller patty. I’ll be sure to order a double next time I come by the joint. The menu options, ambiance and service will definitely bring me back to this place.

Sometimes getting the best feel of an establishment is when it isn’t at their busiest time. Last night I came in around nine pm to only find out that they close at ten pm. That’s what I get for not checking on the hours, silly me. For the hour that I was there the staff was very attentive and social. You can really understand the quality of service during their slower times than their busiest times I believe. As I walked in through the doors everyone immediately greeted me and welcomed me to Big Bob’s. I took a seat at the bar, my comfort zone, and had a look at what was on tap. One of my safe beers was on tap and I immediately asked for a Blue Moon. Luckily the beer was not available as it allowed me a chance to taste and fall in love with another– The Flying Pig. Holy goodness was this beer delicious! The flavors and taste in it was amazing and I would’ve never had a chance to give it a shot if the Blue Moon was available. Katy did an amazing job explaining the beer and what it is. It is part of the pale ale family which was pretty surprising. Everything happens for a reason as they say and I’m fully glad I was introduced to a new favorite of mine. Sitting down with the staff, I got to meet everyone and I really felt included in their conversations. Katy and Shawn with the rest of the gang were really inviting and included me in their conversations throughout the night. As it was getting closer to closing time, and I was on my second Flying Pig(I really loved this beer) they asked if I wanted any food. Now normally I am not one to order food when it is pretty close to closing time because I feel bad for the kitchen. They assured me it would be no problem and the philosophy of Big Bob’s is to provide great service and food no matter what time of operating hours it is. I looked at the menu and for some reason the pulled pork quesadillas immediately caught my eye. I should’ve gone for a 50⁄50 burger that I keep hearing about but I’ve been on a pulled pork binge lately. Just means I have to come back within a week or so. The pulled pork quesadilla was freakin’ finger licking good. I don’t even think I allowed myself a chance to breathe while eating. The pulled pork had such a smoky taste to it and you could tell it had been cooked for hours because it was so tender with each bite. The only disappointment I had throughout the whole night was when I realized I was on my last bite with the quesadilla. I’m making it a point to visit again within a week because I had a great time. I just need to remind myself next time to try the 50⁄50(half beef half bacon); or better yet, 50÷50÷50 which is half beef, half pork, and half bacon!

Big Bob has opened his 3rd location and it is the biggest and best location of the 3 to date. A this location offers the same amazing menu items that are available at the first two locations. So yes the 50⁄50 burger is available in all of its delicious juiciness and the amazing onion rings are also here with the same amazing level of tasty and the Bob sauce kicks them up another level. This location offers a full service bar and when the weather is nice the wall opens and you can sit at the bar inside or outside. Plenty of room inside and out. I love the patio. There is also a separate fenced in play area for the kiddies. When you have a Big Appetite to cure give Big Bob’s a try!!!

Bob has turned out a third location of his burger restaurants, and this one is bigger and better, but without sacrificing the quality of the food, like those delicious burgers and rings. As most of San Antonio knows, the 50⁄50 Burger is the real draw(half ground beef, half ground bacon, topped with a mess of cheese), but those onion rings are the best in the city. The best. Ask for a ton of Bob Sauce. Then ask for more. Even though the 50⁄50 will draw you in, come back and try the«simple» burgers, like a traditional bean burger, a guacamole burger, even a cheeseburger. These are crazy good! Not a fan of meat? No problem. Bob’s got ya covered. Try the housemade veggie burger, no cheese, with guac, Walter S. style. It’s delicous, and not some half-hearted soybean filled cardboard Bocaburger. What’s different about this location and the other two? Well, there’s still a huge beer selection, but you can get Lonestar on draft here. You can also get liquor at the 1604 location now! A full bar, finally. Also, someone finally twisted enough arms to get Bob to do ice cream, so you can get an old school milk shake with your burger. Blue Bell, naturally. How awesome is that?
