Oh boy, not what is but what should be. That should be on their menu. I never got my spring roll and after half HR I cancelled it. But she said takes a while to prepare. What a lie. I know she forgot, so busy asked her to cancel it, and while I had her undivided attention I mentioned that I didn’t like the sweet and sour(more like sour sour chicken) chicken maybe some older chicken in the mix… Who knows. I told her no flavor, ruined my only meal today. Yeah. I won’t go back there… i wanted to go across the street, now they serve some mad food and it’s not much. 4ir Real! Who wants to pay for that, not me, didn’t even get A discount, military vet too.

Service is fine. Food is overall just bland and really disappointing. The entrees are 80% vegetables, and a little meat here and there. Just to put something positive in here, the egg rolls are really good. That’s about it.

Fantastic food for the price point! The Garlic Chicken was made fresh to order in under 10 minutes. $ 6.95 for an entre, steamed rice and an egg roll is an excellent price. The waitress is always friendly, and treats her customers like family. The original Chinese programming on the big screen is a rare treat, as are the fresh tulips on every table. I eat here as often as I can.

Beijing express is great. I’ve been coming here for years and now I can finally review this place. The food is all good, from the honey shrimp to the lemon chicken. Sure the service is a little slow but that really doesn’t bother me cause I don’t eat alone. It is family owned and operated I think cause they’re all Asian. The delivery is surprisingly fast. Try it out, it’s cheap.

Terrible, incompetent service. Repeated my order numerous times, only to have it completely wrong upon arrival. Food is decent, but you will not get the dish you order.

Went to San Antonio for a short stay and it was late at night and I haven’t had dinner yet. Being unfamiliar with the place I couldn’t decide where to eat and was too hungry to sit there reading reviews and just wanted something quick. Was initially just going to get some Wendy’s but passed by the place before I got there and decided to give it a try since I saw it was an express place with a drive through. Decided to get the orange chicken which came with white rice or fried rice and also an egg roll. The food tasted more like low end Chinese food. Nothing special the chickens flavor wasn’t that great and the breading was soggy. I wouldn’t really recommend the place unless you are just close by and craving Chinese food, or in a hurry like me and didn’t want to go to a fast food restaurant.

The food here is delicious! Mind you, I’ve only had the Sesame Chicken and the Beef and Broccoli but that’s enough to make me a fan! One drawback: the service is spotty. I’ve eaten-in a few times and the most recent visit had me waited upon by a, seemingly, 14-yr. old boy. He was SUPER bad as a waiter. I raised my hand to get his attention, and he wants to say, «Yes?» from behind the counter! He got my order wrong(I asked for the egg roll and was given the crab rangoon), but luckily that was remedied w/a free egg roll! EDIT: I went back today. The service is worse! This time, I went through the drive-thru and got overcharged $ 8 when the dude took my order incorrectly! It’s so frustrating having to wait in the drive-thru for about 15 mins… then it caused an overdraft… screw this place, I don’t see the same guy I used to see the first couple of times I went… not going back.

Me and my family love their food here and I’ve been coming for years despite the bad reviews. And will continue to keep coming especially me for their crunchy sesame chicken :)

I’m no connoisseur. I just want a lot of Chinese food at a good price. This place is very affordable, the portions are large, the people are friendly, and the service is quick. Nothing against being picky if you need to; I don’t.

This place is terrible. Greasy and no flavor… essentially worse than the Chinese food places in the mall.

I had the Almond Shrimp(quart, came with rice), lemon Chicken(dinner) and the Ragoon(8 ragoons) and Lychee Slushie bubble tea. The delivery guy got lost so I got my food a few minutes shy of 2 hours give or take? I was displeased since my meal for my mother, brother and I was almost 30 dollars but after calling the restaurant the price was lowered to half. The food was decent, the Almond Shrimp needed more shrimp, and my mother and brother said the chicken was dry. The second driver who was sent to my residency was nice and I felt bad because it was raining and he apologized for wait I presume. I am uncertain if I would order from there again but I give thanks to God(non sarcastic) I didn’t pay full price. I’m surprised my slushie wasn’t melted. I give 2 stars because the food was warm, I was given a discount, and the delivery took 2 hours to finally get to my apartment.

I had to write a review after seeing the terrible reviews this place has received. I have been here now 3 different times to see what all the bad reviews were about. The food here is good. I have had the honey shrimp & sweat and sour shrimp. The lines for the drive thru are always long so people are eating here(someone likes it). The service is not the most welcoming but it works(they are not rude). The guy at the window is probably over worked and under paid what do you expect from a hood spot? The prices are cheep and the food is good. Not much else to say about this place. It’s an inexpensive, fast food Chinese restaurant with a drive thru. If you want great food and service pay a little extra and go to P.F. Other than that this place is good for what it is. I’ll keep eating here.

I was excited when I saw a drive thru for Chinese as I was hungry and in a rush. However, the food was horrible! The worst egg roll I ever had! Almond chicken and rice — blah. Could only eat a few bites and threw a huge serving of food away. The one thing that was good and I did eat was the crab Rangoon.

Awful. Pulled up, ordered, loved the prices, service seemed good at the ordering window. Pulled up to pay and get food. Guy opened the window, looked at me, and turned around to go work on other things and closed the window. Put my head down to read my phone in my lap and when I looked up he was leaning far out the window just staring at me. I had my card in my hand and ready for payment. Gave it to him. No thank you no hello nothing. The food– ordered a crab Rangoon instead of an egg roll. Confirmed this when I ordered. Got back to work and guess what? Egg roll. Ordered the kung pao beef. Awful. It’s just regular beef with 75% mushrooms. Disgusting. Not going back.

Well alrighty, It’s funny, in all the years I have worked at the Medical Center I have never eaten at this place and after today I am thinking it has been my sub-conscious all this time telling me, «Don’t eat there». It’s hard not to be biased, but when you walk inside and see the grimy floor and the old warn out faded booths, it kind of set the mood for me and it was hard to garnish any highlights other than hanging out with my buds talking about how dismal work has been lately. I ordered the sweet and sour pork/lemon chicken combo. The deluxe lunch came with the combo, tea, soup and an egg-roll. My soup was a very salty won ton soup. The portions were big, but the chicken was dark meat. It actually didn’t taste bad. the waiter was a nice guy, he was cashier, waiter, buss boy and probably second cook that day. If your on a budget or perhaps homeless and stranded on Fred Rd, this would be a good place to eat on the cheap as my lunch bill was less than $ 10. To be positive I will say that if you gutted out the place, put in some nice floors, new tables and décor. It would make an awesome Starbucks!

Beware of there advertising staff. One of these guys that junk your door with there flier attacker me after I asked him to take it back and leave my property. If they are already go to this length, I wouldn’t step into that store for any reason. Not even if it would be the last store in earth. Try to stay away from these guys.

This place is probably the worst I’ve ever been too. The guy who picks up the phone, younger guy, is rude and shouldn’t be picking up any phones. I should of know after the guy was such a dick. The food is terrible. Please don’t eat here. We ordered 4 different plates and they all tasted the same. I don’t think they clean the grill. It just tastes like old grease. Avoid this place !!!

Well… trying BE despite the dismal reviews. What ketchup? Wife and I met at BE(she was at the high school bowling match, I decided to go home). We went in, sat at a table(only customers there until some college kids arrived) and ordered. We shared an order of crab rangoon, had a cup of egg drop each. I ordered the combo fried rice, and wifey had beef with mushrooms without the onions. Both dinners came with an egg roll. Soda junkies, take note: there *is* a fountain, but it is not working. You will get canned soda. Acceptable unless they charge by the can. I didn’t check. Anyway, the rangoons and soup came out nice and HOT! Rangoons were crispy and delicious, and served with a nice orange sauce. The egg drop, although it looked a bit on the greenish side, was hot and tasty. Now for the ketchup part. I noticed that on four reviews, Unilocalers mentioned that the fried rice had ketchup. Now for me, a closet ketchup lover, I would have no problems with ketchup(as long as it was Heinz…). But our orders came out with no hint of ketchup in the fried rice. My wife questioned me(seriously…I had to show her the actual reviews!), but she did not detect any ketchup in her fried rice. It was normal colored, and tasted like… well, fried rice should taste. Place was clean, service(the Asian lady, who I will assume is the owner) was awesome, although she did not check back on us(she was in the kitchen for most of the time we ate… and it was QUIET, save for the Chinese music pumping from the firecracker speakers). And considering it is around the corner(okay…on the other side of Oak Hills Golf Course) from us, it is convenient. For my first time, it was great! C’mon, Unilocalers… can you really expect every place to be of high quality? Well, no… but they are not all that bad. Maybe wife and I caught them on a good night. So I invite you to give Beijing Express another try. Yes, I have been tempted to call them to come pick up their flyers from our complex, but I think I’ll let them slide this time.

What’s to like? The hot and sour soup had almost no spice heat, and was overly sweet. The«spring rolls with lettuce» were overlooked, greasy, and unpleasant in taste. The meat in the pork fried rice was small over-fried dark cubes, cooked past the point of being chewy. On the non-food side the bathroom was receiving what must have been an annual depth cleaning, because it was engaged that way(with the door open into the restaurant) when we arrived, and still being cleaned when we left ½ hour later. Ugh. My spouse found the egg drop soup passable. And the counter server was genuinely friendly and happy.(Maybe he doesn’t eat here.) Will we try it again? Not on your life.

I would have given 0 stars, but alas, I am unable to… I agree with the other reviewer who mentioned having a suspicion that they add ketchup to their fried rice… one of the grossest tastes ever! The«lemon chicken» was not lemon chicken at all, and I suspect it wasn’t even chicken. Now, I am not going based off of the old cliché we all think we know about Chinese food, I am truthfully saying that this«chicken» was not like any other meat I have tasted before in my life. It was dark, and not the color of dark-meat chicken, I mean this was dark dark… and tough, and chewy, and just tasted downright awful! Aside from that, I am used to lemon chicken that is not a big cutlet of breaded, fried meat yet little round bits of battered chicken, for dipping purposes. My other half’s lo-mein might as well have been chow mein, the noodles were tiny and again with the mystery-meat chicken. We were not impressed. Perhaps the only slightly pleasant part of the whole experience was the friendly, upbeat gentleman who took the order through the drive-through and handed us our food. Even then, it felt more like a fake courteousness, if that even makes any sense at all. With the tip jar right there on the window, you feel coaxed into leaving at least a dollar, despite even having the chance to taste your food first. I look back now and wish I hadn’t left that dollar. LOL I understand that this is not authentic in any stretch of the word, but even the usual Americanized Chinese food would have been better than this crapola! Would I go back, order at the drive-through, or request delivery over the phone ever again? Heck No!
