My brother picked up some donuts from here and they were amazing. He also said the kolaches were good and appreciated that the baker was trying to do something different.

They had me at hello. I saw heart shaped donuts & i had to get them. Wow were they gooood. So… I had a great idea… I took some to the office & my co workers almost tackled me for them .(I was donut road kill.) totally worth it. The Boss had seconds. (hummmmm maybe I’ll get a raise.)Super reasonable prices & when you go there… make sure you get some Kolaches.

I’m absolutely in love with this bakery. The smell of fresh-​baked goods and being able to watch the bakers make the dough in the early part of the day makes makes you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time.
I had no idea the bakery was literally 20 seconds away from my house. My mom and I passed by one day and she recognized the name as being the bakery she remembered when it was on 24^th street. Anything that had been in business that long and was still around was well worth a try.
My sister and I were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. After inhaling the intoxicating smell of fresh baked goods, there was no way I wasn’t walking out without something. Immediately, my sister and I saw the chocolate-​covered Spurs shaped doughnuts in the glass display case. The only time I had seen them before was on television being made by another bakery on the other side of town, and for a premium price.
The woman behind the counter was glad to tell us about the history of the bakery and even take an order for more Spurs doughnuts. I bought a couple of fairly large glazed doughnuts, 20 doughnut holes, and a Spurs doughnut for the novelty. The bill was a little more than $ 5, incredibly reasonable for what I got.
The doughnuts are exactly the way all doughnuts should be made: a slight crunch on the outside and incredibly soft and chewy on the inside. Even though I had bought them later in the day, their texture was perfect. They were glazed just enough and not heavily coated like Krispy Kreme.
Today, I went back and tried the Pan de Juevo, twists, and the kolaches. I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. My only regret was I should have bought two kolaches instead of one. They were soft, slightly sweet, buttery, and the sausage was delicious. At $ 2.50, it definitely was worth the price and absolutely lived up to the reputation of «better than any breakfast taco.»
As for the doughnut holes I didn’t get to finish the day before, the true test was making sure they still tasted just as good as the day before. They were; ’nuff said.

Their chalkboard sign reads «Kolaches.better than any breakfast taco!» And right they are. They have a sweet glaze with a slight kick of seasoning on top and stuffed with sausage and cheese. (The one I had purchased) Delicious and filling.
They had a great variety of other Kolaches, donuts, cookies and pastries. Staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Will definitely make this a frequent stop since they open at 6am!

This bakery is pretty good. I don’t have much to say about it, but if you are looking for a local bakery that has decent goods, this is a good choice.
This bakery serves Mexican-​style sweets and pastries. The good are of good quality. They have empanadas, turnovers, doughnuts, cookies, and a lot more. The only complaint I had about the items that aren’t traditionally made covered in sugar was that … they are covered in sugar, and I mean a bit too much sugar. I mean, it’s not a big issue, but if the plan is to eat it while on the road, be prepared for a sugary mess in the vehicle.
Long story short, I’d go back.

I love this place the service is always speedy and the sweet bread is always delish. Great selection of baked goodies and they even have barbacoa on the weekends! It’s self serve which I like so I’m able to pick and choose what I like AND best of all. They have bacon donuts!
