I lived in the Waterford Apartments for two years, this was my first place to live when I moved to San Antonio, and it offers all the basic features a young, twenty-something, recent college grad can appreciate. The Good: Washer/dryer connections INSIDE the apt! Well, inside the patio technically, but beggars can’t be choosers in this neighborhood where you typically have to share laundry rooms with the entire complex. It is also very quiet, neighbors are generally respectful, and its affordable. The Bad: Nothing is updated, the appliances are pretty old, and some of the built-ins are reminiscent of the 80’s. Cheesy, cheesy 80’s. The Ugly: Maintenance was reallyyyyy slow responding to requests, unless it was something«life-threatening», which I eventually gathered to mean either a fire or an atomic bomb. NOTE: Even though it’s balls hot in San Antonio during the summer, apparently having no air conditioning is not«life-threatening». Neither is having no running water for two days straight. And if you ever need your front porch light replaced… good luck. Get yourself a flashlight.
