Avenue

The Avenue is probably one of the plus size women’s store that has decent clothing. There is always a wide array of fashionable, colorful clothing. For a while it seemed to be that all retailers thought black was the favored color for us plus size divas. Well sister, no more! In addition to clothing Avenue carries a Great selection of shoes, swim wear, lingerie, jewelry& more! Staff there is helpful (sometimes a bit too helpful, I was asked 3 times in 15 minutes if I needed any help). But what I really like to see is The Quarry finally acknowledge us big divas and put a shop out there.

I have to give this place 5 stars, as another Unilocaler put it «this is the only plus size store in the quarry». Sad but true. Avenue’s quality isn’t the best. But they rotate their clothing inventory quick enough that there is always something fresh to wear. And Charming Charlie’s is across the way. So, win!

The only plus size women’s store in the Quarry, hallelujah! Avenue is like the affordable Lane Bryant who is still in business. They sell dresses, sports clothes, bathing suits, business attire, sleeping wear, accessories and shoes. Most of the seasonal clothes are a little on the pricey side but if you sign up on their email list, you’ll get fabulous coupons and see when they’re having a sale. Recently they had $ 5 ribbed tanks and flip flops, $ 10 night gowns other pants and shirts $ 15 summer dresses in several fashionable prints! This location usually has the best clearance and new fashions with tons of size availability.
A lot of the clothes are geared towards older women, but I’ve been coming here for years and always find some solid print fashions that suit my age (under 30).
