Really liked the service, didn’t wait for my pedicure, and most important my nails were done exactly like I wanted them to))

Went in to get my manicure done and was fairly pleased! The techs working here are very friendly and pleasant. The salon is fairly clean and spacious. Prices are affordable. Moving on to my manicure. The nail tech working on me did a great job of filing my nails one way instead of sawing it. She removed the cuticles with ease and afterwards she massage my hand while applying cream. She was very focus and comply to all my requests. When she was done, my nails looked magnificent! Work of art! Definitely coming back here again the next time I’m in the area!

The people here are nice but the quality of their work is poor. I have had five different shellac manicures here and two of them peeled off within days. The last time when I went back(yesterday) they wanted to just fix a nail or two and not re-do the whole manicure! And they made me wait and wait until finally I went somewhere else to have it done properly. Sad to say I won’t be back.

I absolutely cannot recommend Ann’s Nails. I haven’t had a pedicure anywhere since my last one there some months back. A man was assigned my pedicure and he was so rough, he scraped the skin off my little toe causing me to bleed the day before a big event when I needed to wear heels. I was communicating to him that he was being too rough, but it wasn’t until afterwards that the presumed manager explained to me that my pedicurist didn’t speak English-not something I usually have a problem with, but in this instance it became a huge problem that left me a bloody mess. No apology, no discount, no nothing. I was walking out in shock when they conveniently reminded me that I needed to pay for the nail trim and buffing I had received prior to the pedi-disaster. Thank you, but no thanks! I won’t be going back.

I’ve had two shellac manis and one shellac pedi. They were done well, and lasted over the advertised 2 weeks, on average two dollars cheaper than every other place I called($ 30 shellac mani). I’ve been offered a beverage every time and the people are friendly. I have only gone on Mondays and as a walk-in. I’m not super picky when it comes to décor so the environment seemed fine with me, but it isn’t exactly luxurious… if that’s what you’re looking for. Still, it was very clean and I could see that sanitation was not an issue.

I needed a manicure for a job interview… not that it mattered, since I don’t think I put my hands above the table once… so I stopped here on the way to Costco with my new-to-town eyes wide open. There was a bit of a wait: no biggie, I’m crashing as a walk-in. My nail dude, Danny was UTTERLYMETICULOUS about getting my gel manicure perfect. You know those long thumbnails that nail guys always have? He used his so much that it looked like he had a lilac-gray french tip. He offered me soda and water, and then did my pedicure. The amount of pressure he used on the foot-file-thing was perfect: my calluses were shaved off just enough to make them smooth, but not enough to hurt. They are a bit pricier: $ 25 for a regular spa pedicure, and $ 35 for a gel manicure. Those are Hawaii prices in San Antonio, but the location and Danny’s skill might be worth it in the future.
