First, the gripes I guess… The gym has way too many things to do. When I am paying $ 100 a month to learn various forms of martial arts, I want to show up to locked doors and a gym that’s in a 15×20 foot garage. Secondly, although the BJJ classes are great, it would be better if they were taught by a blue belt or even a white belt so that I wouldn’t feel so insecure about going to class. Also, what’s with the one female bathroom??? They don’t even deserve one. In many countries women wouldn’t even be aloud to train with men, let alone piss in the same building. Another major gripe I have is the fact that when it’s hot, they open the front doors! WTF?!? I want sweat dripping from every foreskin and every orafice so that I can punish my opponent with more than just an arm bar or triangle(yes I am referring to my ball sweat). And what’s with all those tires laying around??? I never see any cars in the back neing worked on. I don’t know maybe I’m missing something. Last but not least, what’s with the old bald guy teaching the muay thai classes? He seems to be the oldest guy in the gym. Half the time he doesn’t even pay attention to his students. I think he has more of a crush on some of the other fighters and instructors at the gym. I could be a little jealous but I’m not. All that aside… the place is really laid back which makes for an excellent learning environment. That’s why I slapped about a million of those bumper stickers on the back of my Kia Rio. Hopefully it will help me get chicks.

First, the gripes I guess. The gym has no air conditioning. HUGE gripe. It gets really, really hot in there. Also, there’s almost literally NO staff. There’s a guy that lives there, that’s pretty much it. Getting the phone answered just doesn’t happen. And the class times are always changing and not being updated. That gets super annoying. There’s very, very few cardio machines and they’re all up front in the gym, so actually using them is very weird. Most aren’t plugged in though. Which is the other big gripe. There’s just not enough CARDIO there. Great workouts, but not enough classes for what they’re expecting you to pay($ 50-$ 120/month). The gym is always super dirty. And there’s only one girls bathroom. So changing there is literally impossible. But, all that being said… the classes are really great. My favorite is this spartan pit training thing. It’s only 3 times a week though. That’s the bad part. But it’s this really intense workout you just can’t find anywhere else. The jiu-jitsu is phenomenal. The instructor really cares and actually pays attention to what you’re doing and tries to correct you as you go. Then there’s the boxing and kickboxing classes. Both very good and can be very technical. Also on the plus side is that the contracts are all month to month. Which is nice. Overall I gave it 3 stars because the classes that they do offer are really good. There just aren’t enough of them. And the prices for what they are offering is way too much. There’s nothing you can really count on as far as the classes besides the BJJ and the pit. Everything else is constantly changing. If they put a little money into the gym, got some better mats and heavy bag, an actual cleaning crew and maybe even a sales person this gym could really be great. Until they do, I’m going to keep looking for something better.
