I had pretty similar experience as KR form San Francisco who is currently under the not recommended reviews section of Unilocal.
On November 11^th I emailed asking a question for my friend. On November 17 I finally received a response from Louise Esupinian saying contact Michael McCulloch and the phone number.
It took her almost a week to respond to me and then to just say call Micahael.
In what universe does this woman live? Do these people do healing work?
Strictly from their website: «Pine Street is here to provide you with solace, creativity, solutions, and support.» Absolutely not true.
At one time, this was true. There was another woman at the counter. You could walk in. You could ask questions. You could receive comfort and guidance.
Not this Louise Esupinian, whoever the hell she is. I wonder if Micahel Broffman knows what she’s doing with people who walk in or with emails or phone calls. It’s worse than rude — for a clinic that’s supposed to be about HEALING!
And this isn’t the only time this non-​human Louise treated me this way. Further back I called about something else, and she was rude and unhelpful.
Unbelievable for a healing place.

I have been seeing Michael Broffman at Pine Street Clinic for years now. I have been a cancer patient for 7 years. Initially I only tried western medicine treatment then I decided it wasn’t enough.
During my chemo period, Michael works with my chemo schedule to give me a scheduled herbal regimen. After I started this, I realized I have less side effects from chemo and I recover a lot faster!
Michael is probably one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. He gives me thorough answers for all my questions, which just blows my mind. You can definitely tell that he is passionate about his job. Many times my oncologist gives me vague answers which leaves me with questions, so I turn to Michael for better explanations. Also, he has lots of knowledge with clinical trials as well. When I feel lost, I always leave the clinic with lots of hope, information and a peace of mind.
I do also love the fact that he gives me a list of supplements and I can buy them anywhere. The only items I buy at the clinic is the customized herbs and couple of other supplements depending on what I’m going through at that moment. On the most part, I buy my supplements in Amazon.
Lastly, I’ve always gotten excellent service there. Plus, they offer sliding scale! This means so much to me because I go through periods when I am unable to work so being able to get care at my affordable cost reduces stress.
I have recommended this clinic to many other patients and I will continue to do so.

Agreed with comments on Michael Broffman — great knowlege and resource.
For nutrition, prevention and palliative measures they may be very good.
However, for serious problems (cancer in our case) they really only offer counseling along with pills and potions that are unproven except by a few anecdotes. Of course some item may turn out to be a cure and miracles do happen, but …

Michael Broffman is incredibly well-​informed and a necessary part of any program. He is truly incredible.

I truly believe that Michael Broffman is a genius and is helping to save my husband’s life. He is incredibly smart and competent and amazing.
