Dove Place Antiques & Consignment

Robyn, who rune Dove Place, is a woman of real integrity and she is a dream to deal with. She gives the most generous of any consignment price and works really hard to sell you stuff. I’d never go anywhere else to sell my antiques. Highly recommended!

When we needed to sell hundreds of items from my mother-in-law’s estate — from jewelry, to silver, to fine porcelain, china, etc. — they were so helpful. They came to our house, packed it up very carefully, set good prices, and took care of everything. All we had to do was relax — they got it done! They are very honest, and would call if something wasn’t selling to see if we should soften the price or not. Robin would tell me about upcoming antique or jewelry shows where my mother-in-law’s items that were still left would be seen. Because of all of their years in the business, they also have hundreds of contacts for selling any items they have, and actually recommended an auction house for a few things when they felt we could get a better price that way. They are a fine, upstanding family and business, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them highly!

I am here to sing the praises of working with these folks on a consignment basis. Robin and Wayne are fantastic. Love them and the service they offer is highly recommended. They know how to price to get things sold! I received my check without having to ask. Their method of keeping track of everything was easy and accurate. Really great actually. I wish I had more to sell cause they sold it all. BOO HOO :) The entire process of lots and lots of items including antique clocks, silver, furniture and strange weird bits and pieces and there was a LOT! Gone. With minimum fuss. Do yourself a favor. Really. Check them out!

I am so glad there are still antique sellers who take the time to know the history behind their wares. This was only my second time visiting the shop, but I have really enjoyed talking with Robin about antique silver. You really get the sense that the pieces in Robin’s store are entrusted to her by their owners or their families. I had a friendly welcome into the shop on both visits. The store’s collection is beautifully displayed and prices are very reasonable. The items range from small, individual, very affordable pieces to larger pieces for when you are ready to make a bigger investment in your collection. If you are a fan of British hall marked silver like me, put this store on your short list of places to visit.

Robin — moody, quirky, strange. If items aren’t priced, don’t bother asking. She’ll work with glacial speed to get them for you. Been going for years, but the last experience tore it for me. No more of this.

When my father passed away, the folks at Dove Place were absolutely incredible in both their ability to take care of his estate items, and to provide a genuine sense of caring for his items and our family. These folks are NOT the normal sleezeballs that you typically experience in this business. They were wonderful, professional, and did a great job.
