Susan Chen DDS

My son had an emergency dental situation; and this dentist was the one «on call». Within a couple of days of the appointment, they were calling him for payment — 2 or 3 times a day! They had not even mailed out a bill yet.
This in spite of the fact that the day of the appointment, I called their office, provided all the dental insurance information, and told them I would be taking care of the bill. They had the insurance info and my address and phone, yet they called him well before a statement (bill) was ever mailed. The calls were intrusive, frequent, rude, and harassing When my son finally got them to agree to send a bill (isn’t that standard?!), they called him the day after they mailed it with further threats on his need to be speedy with his payment. All this before 3 weeks had even passed from service.
Additionally, the treatment they gave him was NOT in line with what our regular dentists says he needed. I am asking our regular family dentist to re-​consider having Susan Chen’s office included in their on-​call pool.

Similar to the previous reviewer; the receptionist was very aggressive. I received 3 to 4 calls a day for over 2 weeks demanding payment (take in mind this started 2 days after my initial appointment). The solicitation was unreasonable and Is something I have never experienced from a business before. I will be writing official complaints about the unneeded and unwarranted solicitation.

Dr. Chen placed a crown which started to give me pain on day 2. Since her office was a bit far for me, I decided to see a different dentist closer to home. The new dentist had to adjust the bit not once but in two different occasions. The pain did not go away so I was referred to see an Endodontist. After a closer examination by the Endodontist, I was told that I need a root canal. Dr. Chen had NOT preped the tooth correctly and the crown was not in contact with the other teeth. Food was getting trapped in between the crown. I try to contact her 17 times untill finally she returned the call only to be told that she is not responsible for anything and that if I need a root canal to go get it. I don’t know about you but, I work in the medical field for 22 years, not once have I made an error and told my patients «TUFF, deal with it»
Dr. Chen placed a crown incorrectly, keep in mind that is coming from two other dentist, and she does not assume her responsibilities for her actions. She simply worked on me, did a poor job and when confronted, she walks away
Would not recommend this dentist.
