They are WONDERFUL here. They are kind, attentive and best of all, realistic. They are happy to come up with a game plan regarding insurance and when a best time is to get additional work done. In fact, they just called, noticing I didn’t have enough in my insurance benefit to cover my upcoming appointment and did I want to schedule it for the new year? Heck yes! I’ve never had a dentist office give that kind of attention. Plus, they treat my daughter like royalty. So pleased.

It breaks my heart to write this review because Dr. Chen is absolutely one of the nicest medical professionals I have ever encountered. This is a copy of the review I left the front office when I left the practice this year: I had been going to PLFD since moving to the Issaquah area at the age of 4. During this time the practice was under Dr. Dorsey. I was always happy with the level of care he provided and I enjoyed going to the dentist as a child because of the kind staff there. I never felt scared or worried at all in the chair which was great. Dr. Chen is extremely kind and always so pleasant when I was in the chair. However, I constantly felt like I was being pressured to purchase new products and services once she took over the practice. I was surprised each time she made me have x-ray exams on a 6 month basis, as it is only required by insurance on an annual basis. Each time I visited Dr. Chen claimed I had at least 2 or 3 new cavities. Last July I explained that as I have Invisalign I brush my teeth upwards of 4+ times a day, and I was surprised at the sheer amount of cavities Dr. Chen kept saying I had every single visit. Upon going in for a second opinion of my teeth at ENSO Dentistry in Redmond, Dr. Keerti noted that there were no areas of concern in my entire mouth, and she felt that I had been misled by Dr. Chen. She even walked me through their state of the art facility and showed me my x-rays hyper-magnified and she could not see the areas Dr. Chen was claiming were decaying. I understand that being proactive is essential in dentistry, but Dr. Keerti agreed that this level of proactive filling would not in fact be beneficial to me, and would actually do more harm than good – and would wind up being more costly. I am sad to leave the PLFD family I have come to know and love a great deal and I wish you all the best. I just hope that no one else goes through this type of experience there.
